Dr. Vi is the best!!!! I hated the dentist absolutely hated going. Until I started going here! Gentle hands! Makes you feel relaxed ! I went in for an extraction I was so nervous and scared. My appointment was at 3 pm. She numbed the area came back I think she knew I was nervous. She said I'm just make sure it's numbing. Bam! 1,2 and 3! Alrighty I'm done. I was shocked! No pain during and no pain after! I asked my dad to come with me cause I thought I was gonna be in a lot of pain or whatever. She did it so fast my dad was like I didn't even get thru the intro of my show. lol it's a drive for me I live in south east Houston. I give this dentistry 5 stars for their service. Violeta communication was amazing. She was very friendly and took the time to discuss what took place with my service along with my treatment. Dr. Dill was great! I appreciate her taking the time to give me the truth concerning my teeth. She was very patient and didn't mind answering any questions I had to ask at that moment. Her honesty really make me want to continue to come to this place. Hanh, the dental hygienist was amazing. This hygienist did the best cleaning I ever had in years. I never felt so much confidence smiling ever. She took her time and also communicated with me to make sure I was not in pain. I didn't care if I was in pain I was just so thankful that she did her job very well. If you ever want honesty, true outcome, great communication and workers that is not about robbing you for money. Ppl that love what they do with a smile on their face. This is the place to go. And don't forget they take really good care of your kids teeth. Because they definitely took care of my son. Poor pandemic precautions. When asked about changing gloves, was politely told they can't change them frequently. That's an acceptable response pre-pandemic. Not acceptable during COVID. I'm willing to pay higher price for excellent sanitation/precautions. read more

Elated to have gotten this appointment with the many 5 star reviews -- so much that I canceled two other standing appts at touted practices, it proved gravely disappointing, annoying, and hurtful to me. I called the office - barely able to speak properly from sleeplessness, headache, overnight pain & a throbbing tooth - to book a same day emergency appt. Receptionist was kind and pleasant and offered me a time hrs later which I took. I offered up extensive detail: mentioned the meds I'd taken and time intervals, scaled my pain at an 8 to 9, and gave the exact tooth number & previous issue and told her I would be there 30mins early to fill forms. I showed up with a frozen fruit bag to my cheek and was made to wait 90mins past my appt time! New patients arrived 30mins after me and were seen first. Once they went in, 10mins later I warmly inquired about my own appt (seeing if I could possibly be getting x-rays or something out of the way so I could just be seen ASAP once the dentist was free), but I wasn't ushered in. X-rays get done, dentist finally shows and describes swelling issue but said he wasn't comfortable doing procedure and wld see if the head dentist would be able to or he'd refer me out to an Endo. He then told me to check with the past dental practice to see what they did (re: Ridiculous, I told you what they said they did and what I know I paid for. It's 7PM now on the East Coast -- they're unreachable. How is this a reasonable solution to my problem right now?). I reiterated that I'm too uncomfortable pain-wise and just want next steps on the solution to my problem that I could get that day & if not, some relief until that could be done. Assistant comes back with better "chair-side manner" and said they would ask the owner. She returns to say the owner could "try to do it" or I could take some Rx and wait a few days and return. I opted to wait. Upon paying up front, as they print out the prescriptions, I asked for final clarity on a timeline and what we were doing. That's when I saw the head dentist (presuming since she had protective gear on) - without looking my way and properly engaging nor introducing herself - curtly mention the days wait and meds to be had until then, with her body facing away from me. Unbelievable. They should have just referred me out as the first Dentist intimated, or honored my appt time and passed on me in time so I could have gotten anti-inflammatory meds ASAP and tried to go elsewhere. TWO HOURS past my time, knowing I was another hour away from getting any meds, only for the meds to not work and the next day be worse off. I called the office again, sent a photo and was promised a call back that was not returned. I then called again 70mins later and they delayed entirely too long in putting in a Rx, that I called an MD friend to handle it. GOD-AWFUL. Just absolutely terrible. And no reach out afterwards. I went to another dentist who deserves all the stars, and all's well. read more

I went to V Family Dentistry for a nagging problem with a crown I got made at your run of the mill dentist. Dr. Vi's attention to detail when working on me was amazing! She noticed that my crown was not the right fit for me and has ordered me a new one. The way she and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and informed is astronomical; from being shown your X-rays and dental pictures and going over everything, to having Netflix playing on the ceiling while she works on you is next level comfort that no other dentist has matched. I like how she tells you all the fees upfront so you won't be surprised at the end of your visit. An added bonus is when she injected my gums, I didn't feel a thing!!! read more

Do you know why everyone likes going to Cheers? It's because that's the place where everybody knows your name. By my second visit to Dr. Vi (at her old office @ 69 & Hillcroft), she already knew me by my name. I was more than just a number to her. In fact, soon after, my entire family has become patients of hers. Every time I visit, she's always asking about my parents and kids. Prior to Dr. Vi, I've never had a dentist take interest in my life outside of the visitation. I chose her old office simply due to location (10 minutes). After a few years, Dr. Vi relocated to a new location that's 45 minutes away from my home but that didn't stop us from going to her. Her office is very accommodating to our needs. She's often found time to squeeze me (or a family member) in to her schedule depending on the severity of our needs. She runs a trilingual office of English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Parking at her new location is plentiful unlike her old office. Since this is a new office, every piece of equipment is brand new and the entire office is clean, like a Buc-ee's. read more

Don't come here! This is what your root canal will look like if you let this place do it. This dentist should have said she was inexperienced in root canals and referred me to a specialist in the first place. She waits until she messes up this root canal to decide to refer me after she refuses to fix her mistake. She will hear from my lawyer and the local media very soon. Came here for the first time yesterday and although I truly hate going to the dentist, I do have to say that my first time visit here was amazing. I did teeth cleaning only and Kara took care of me. She was very amazing! She was knowledgeable, friendly and very caring. She told me the purpose of each thing that she was doing, she told me prices and also answered every question that I had. She was not only invested in doing her job and getting me out of there but she was also sweet in making conversation about my life and hers and that's what made the procedure go by so quickly. I found this place by accident when I had an emergency root canal and I had to see a dentist right away on a weekend and my previous dentist did not work on weekends or afternoons . So glad i found V family Dentistry. Friendly staff and I'm always seen on time. Facility is clean and modern. I love that I can watch Netflix on the TV mounted on ceiling. My procedures were not covered by insurance and they came up with a payment plan that was reasonable and affordable for me. I do not like going to dentists at all... who doesn't. But after my experience with Dr. Vi and her office, that has changed! Recently transitioned to this office after lots of issues at my previous dentist. Overall a Good experience, great pricing and amazing availability. They showed me before and after pictures and explained everything. Downsides are; I was not initially offered numbing pain on one side of my mouth, so I experienced some pain during treatment and sensitivity afterwards. It's been two weeks since my filling and I still have pain and can barely chew on one side of my mouth. I've returned twice, but they keep saying to "give it time" read more

From walking in to walking out, everything was prefect! The front desk staff greeted us as soon as we walked in. They have these really awesome reusable new patient forms that I thought were just amazing! SAVE THE TREES! As soon as we were done with the forms, the doctor called us back and BOOM! No wait at all. Dr. Vi did the exam herself. She was very thorough and made sure I was comfortable and pain free the whole time. Brought my 2 year old for his very first dental appt. Dr. Vi made him very comfortable even though he was scared. The visit was quick and thorough. By the end of the appt, my son didn't want to leave. On his 3 year old appt, he had a whole cleaning done and he was able to watch his favorite movie the entire time. Dr. Vi taught him how to floss his teeth and he asks us to do it every night. The office is very clean and the staff is very friendly greeting my son by name to make him comfortable. I came in for a routine cleaning and Dr. Hoang was the one cleaning my teeth rather then a dental hygienist. She was very thorough yet dedicate and made sure that I was doing okay throughout the cleaning. She has a very bubbly personality that made my visit so much more enjoyable then my previous dentist. They took X-rays and showed me what other concerns they had but allowed me to make the decision to get it worked on rather then being pressured. I had my teeth cleaned today at V Family Dentistry and am very happy with my experience. I have fluoride sensitivity and she was able to work around that to still give me a deep clean. Dr. Vi is very wise and has excellent tips on keeping teeth clean and healthy (floss after every meal, if you use an electric toothbrush don't apply too much pressure on the teeth!) The cleaning was done by the smart and encouraging Dr. Vi and was painless. Her office staff are incredibly kind. I will always be coming back here for my preventative dental care! read more
