THEY TAKE CARE OF YOU LIKE FAMILY here at Cypress Oral!…read more My story is that I've had a root-canal done on a premolar years ago in another city, and unfortunately that surgeon somehow botched the crown post placement in an irreparable way. I put off getting it replaced by a bridge/implant simply because of the expense and because I didn't know who to trust. Fast forward to a few months ago, my stepdad's brother, a seasoned dentist but not an oral surgeon, recommended Cypress Oral to suit my predicament. I couldn't be more grateful that I went with his recommendation! Dr. Price and Dr. Michael both took excellent care of me from the moment I met them, as if they were doing a favor for their own nephew! Wow! They are both very knowledgeable about their expertise and covered things I didn't even see mention of in my research. I was nervous about the issue of price and potential complications, but they didn't pressure me in anyway, just kindly informed me of my best option, which for me was the implant. They eased a lot of my anxiety about the whole process. The staff quoted a much better, reasonable price than I was given at other practices. Hardly common these days, these folks actually care more about their patients than their revenue! What's more, both Dr. Price and Michael went above and beyond to help me out in what for me had been a hard time financially. Thank you so much! So I took the chance and I'm so glad I did! The procedure was so quick (isn't anesthesia great?) I didn't even know they were finished when I came to! Ha! It barely even hurt during my recovery too, great job! Now I have a nicely-healed gum site with a flawless post where there was once a cringe-worthy, nasty mess of decaying enamel that had been that way for more than 5 YEARS. Amazing! I couldn't ask for a better experience! Thank you so much Dr. Michael and Dr. Price, and thank you Cypress Oral! God bless you all!

Came in for a consultation for a tooth extraction not looking forward to that but I trust he will do a great job. I take a lot of medications and he went over each and everyone of them with me and is reaching out to my pcp for clearance.

OK...this will be a review of Dr Dyer, but also something people who need osseous surgery can refer…read moreto. The review will be ongoing since the osseous surgery needs to be done in stages, so review will be updated several times. Although I brush and floss, I developed gun disease and needed osseous surgery. Osseous surgery can be intimidating. That is because you have to cut the gums open to expose and work on the inflamed tissues and often damaged tooth root. It is not quite open heart surgery, but it is something that is still pretty serious and requires a lot of skill, especially since you will be awake the whole time. Having said that, don't worry too much, the procedure itself is not painful. The shots, of course sting and you will need several. Doc Dyer was quick and efficient. OK, so gums are cut open and doc Dyer is cleaning away and seems to be in the zone. I saw one reviewer claim that doc Dyer is not friendly. In my experience he was quite friendly during the initial visit, but yes was not particularly jovial during the actual work. But that is, IMO, because he is serious about the work he is doing. Your gums are cut open and he is down in your tooth root doing some pretty hard core work/scraping (he also had to re-build a damaged root) so you might not want Rodney Dangerfield type humor at that moment. Just my take. He did call to check up on me that night, I think it was about 20 minutes to 9, so that shows me he cares about you after the work day is over. I am sorry to say this, but IMO, a lot of health pros are in it only for the money (please see my review of Delight Dental) but doc Dyer did not have to call at night. Good sign. So the section was done and I went home. My meds were waiting for me at my local Pharmacy, no problem, but 2 hours later I was feeling no pain so I did not take anything. I probably should have because 2 hours later the gums started to hurt. I ended up taking 3-4 codeine. The next morning they really hurt and I took one and they still hurt so I took another. I was worried because you don't get a lot of codeine...but pretty soon the pain resided and here on day 2 I have some lower jaw soreness and moderate gum pain and might need a few more but I am pretty sure I am good. That is a pet peeve of mine, docs who underprescribe pain medication since they care more about their license than your pain (thank the opiod crisis and general greed). Another reviewer claims that doc Dyer under prescribed pain meds, but I am getting by with no problem on what he wrote. I am getting a little pain from eating but I have enough meds, so don't worry about that although YMMV. That wraps it up fo right now. I am a tough grader but have to go with a 5 for right now. We will see how things go when I get the rest of my work done.

My mount hurt for 2 days, and my gum was black and blue. I understand not all us are talkers, and that's fine. I am not there for the personality, I am there for expertise. I would not send my dog to this man. MY husband is a doctor, he called me in an antibiotic. What a jerk this guy is. I am surprised he still has a practice.

BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE BEFORE YOU COME HERE I was referred…read moreto this place from my general dentist, On the 10th of this month I made an appointment for my niece for August 14th and I completed the new patient form online with all pictures about my insurance and everything I put all the information online. Well, the 14th arrives and we went according to the appointment and it turns out that when we got there they had canceled it because they had no doctor available and they said they were calling me to let me know about it, my phone does not accept calls from unknown numbers, so the call did not go through and they did not leave me any message or email to about the cancellation, that made me angry but I didn't say anything even that they made waste my time and gas the one in the front desk made me another appointment for today 08-24 because it was the closest available and I accepted it, and they also told me that they would put her on the wait list because sometimes people cancel at the last minute and they could call us. Well, today arrives and they called 4 hours before appointment to let me know that they won't be able to take care of her because they don't take the insurance we have They should have told me that before, since day one when I made the new patient form, as I told them if I put all the papers in since the beginning, why y'all didn't tell me anything the day I came to the office and y'all sent me back without service? Why wait more than 15 days to tell me and notify me exactly the same day? They don't care about your time, my niece needs to go back to Mexico for a family emergency, her mom it's sick and we were just waiting until this careless people gave her the service she needs, they don't care if she lost the flight or even if her mom get worse they just care about money that's it... By the way I'm pregnant and they made have a horrible day.

I was referred to Katy Cypress Oral Surgery Center by my dentist's office so that I could get my…read morewisdom teeth removed. I was scared at first but I'm happy they sent me here because the process was so smooth! When I first stepped in to schedule my surgery, the young lady at the front, Jessica, was super nice and made scheduling the appointment very easy. They pretty much verified everything with my insurance before hand and all I had to do was show up. The price I ended up paying was not exactly cheap but it was lower than another place that had previously quoted me. The whole staff has THE BEST bedside manner! Everyone was very helpful and informative. I never felt as though they didn't go over everything with me, they were thorough and to the point. The day of my surgery, I ended up getting 6 teeth removed, my 4 wisdom and 2 others. Dr. Millwala is great! He went over my x-rays with me, explained what he was going to do during the surgery, went over after care with me and my bf and assured me I had nothing to worry about. If I'm being honest, I was nervous as hell! But they really did put me at ease. I chose to be sedated for the procedure, and the staff worked hard at making sure I was comfortable while they were preparing. Afterwards, they helped me out of the office in a wheelchair (nice touch!) so that I could safely get to my ride. The day after my wisdom tooth extraction, they called to see how I was doing. Aside from the normal soreness and swelling, I was fine. I already had a post-op follow up appointment with them and everything went well. But above all, their professionalism and care have honestly blown me away. On the after care instructions, they provided a number where I could reach Dr. Millwala day or night. Which came in handy recently when I had a question, I texted him and he answered me almost instantly. I've never had any health care professional do that for me. Hands down this office has the best patient care! Can all doctors please take a lesson from the staff here????? They really surprised me and I'm very happy that I came here for treatment.
