Honest Google Review by Customer (My review keeps being taken down ) Lakeside Golf Cars , WV caused a 10-month ordeal that was completely unnecessary. Lakeside Golf Cars also sells Park Model Rv Trailers. In February 2025 , I placed over $35,000 down as deposit on a 2023 Elevation park model trailer costing over $85,000. In March 2025 , I wired the remaining $50,000 balance paying for the trailer in full! Communication was excellent during the deposit and payment process, once they received all the funds, issues began with their delivery process and providing me the title to my trailer. I had to wait over a month before they delivered my trailer , one excuse after another they provided for the delay. Finally the trailer was delivered, with the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO) unsigned. (No Title without signed MCO) So I now owned a Trailer I just paid $85,000 cash for and had no Title to it. I made multiple attempts to contact Lakeside/ David but received no response, after that David would not return my calls, all communications were handled through another employees, and their responses were limited and often delayed. They provided me with several different explanations regarding why they did not have my Title and why getting me my title was taking so long, although stating in conversation that the company handled title work themselves, And that only the Charleston DMV could issue the title, that the DMV had already processed and mailed my title. I grew tired of the delay and the excuses so I contacted the Charleston DMV myself which they stated there was no record of any transaction involving their business or my trailer. I continued calling weekly, sending texts, sending emails to Lakeside for months trying to get them to give me my title. All I received was inconsistent excuses, lack of communication and unresolved issues, I couldnt take anymore unprofessionalism so in November 2025, over eight months after I purchased the trailer I contacted the BBB (Better Business Bureau) they were more than happy to assist me. Within a couple of weeks, I finally received the original MCO along with a refund for sales tax that I was charged and should not have been. The following day, I went to my local DMV and obtained the title immediately, confirming that the prior delays were not necessary. I do not recommend using Lakeside Golf Cars. . read more

She said we would be very happy with it. My husband needs the workhorse because he is 71 years old and has bad arthritis in both legs and can't stay on his feet long. He can't walk around our 14 acre property anymore and clean up the tree branches and other debris that needs to be picked up after storms. He also needs it for other chores around the property. We explained all this to her. We put a picture of a workhorse on her desk so there would be no misunderstanding of what we needed. Kelly repeatedly said we would be so happy and it would be just what we wanted. Well it took a couple more weeks to build than promised. When it was finally done, Kelly called to let us know. Unfortunately it turned out to be a fancy golf cart with a tiny bed on the back. The bed is so small that branches would have to be cut up into very small pieces and it would take many extra trips to haul them. The proper bed on a Workhorse is much bigger and would do the job nicely. To be fair, it looks good and runs well, but still we ended up spending $5,614.29 for a golf cart with what looks like a kid's toy dump bed on the back. It is of no practical use to us. We ordered, and were led to believe we would get, a Workhorse. It is our fault for believing her and trusting her. Kelly didn't care if it was not what we wanted once she had our money. She didn't even try to make things right. She refused to refund our money even though she had not given us what we ordered. She kept repeating she likes her customers to be 100% happy but I guess that doesn't include us. We will never deal with Mountain Ridge again. We are trying to sell the cart for enough money to buy a used EZGO Workhorse.

We ended up taking into this MPM that people were talking about originally he was in new Alexandria now he's in Mount Pleasant. But the guy knows what he's doing and he knows his stuff. Area 31 said that the compression in my cart was really bad. It was below 50 psi. And they offered to give me 500 bucks for the car. We took it to that other guy and he said the compression was fine. He just wasn't getting fuel because the fuel pump went and he said it was only a $40 fix. He only charged us $45 to fix it cause he said he didn't have to do much we ended up giving him $100 tip. And we just thought that area 31 golf cart was just not 100% sure they had a younger guy working on ours so we took our second golf cart there he had six brand new 6 V batteries in it and it kept dying every time we drove at 10 feet. They were just die. They told us we got the wrong batteries so we ended up taking into that MPM and he found out it was just the ignition switch. I do not recommend this place to anybody. They don't know what they're doing and they just wanna buy more golf carts cheap and then sound super expensive. Those real nice lifted ones with the 48 V lithium's, they buy those off of Alibaba for $3000 apiece and then they try to sell them for $$10,000-$12,000 each. That other guy at MPM said that if I purchased one he'll go and pick it up for 600 bucks so technically I'm saving like $7000 if I buy it from here.

The car had been running fine, but the shop told us it needed a new alternator. Because the estimated repairs would have cost more than the car was worth, we declined the work. After my daughter picked up the car and started driving home, the shop called to say they had left a tool inside the car and had also kept her driver's license and registration. While she was driving back to retrieve them, the car completely broke down on the side of the highway and had to be towed. The timing was extremely concerning, especially since the car had shown no signs of an alternator problem before it was taken to Westover Tire. When I called to discuss the situation, the manager, Jeff, was condescending and sarcastic. He asked, "If she stopped at the grocery store, would it be their fault that the car broke down?" That response showed no concern for my daughter being stranded on the highway and did nothing to address our concerns. They offered no help and said that this wasn't on them. Between the breakdown immediately after the shop handled the car, the tool left inside it, the failure to return her license and registration, and the manager's unprofessional attitude, we have serious concerns about how the vehicle and this situation were handled. I walked into the store and stood behind two men who were in conversation with the clerk. I heard one man say "Come on. Just certify the ticket and we'll split the money." Before the clerk could reply, the second man turned and saw me - they quickly exited the store. I asked the clerk about the pump not registering credit cards. She said all the pumps' card readers were down . . . again. I said I needed to fill my tank and offered to leave my car keys or a cash deposit. She said "No. You've got to leave your credit card." After just witnessing the attempt to cash in a bogus lottery ticket at this store, I wasn't about to leave my credit card for 5 or 10 minutes while I filled up my gas tank. I declined to leave my card and said I'd go to the other BFS out on Bowers Lane. The clerk said "Bye!" and waved me out the door with a single-finger salute. I have not purchased gas from any BFS station since that incident.

TL;DR: They do things to your car without telling you and hack things off…read more These people (while working on unrelated systems on my car) cut the brake shield off of the car. They didn't use the bolts the manufacturer handily located to make taking the brake off easily. Nope, they _hacked_ it off, literally. When my mechanic father called to ask the about this, they said they "had to" hack the brake shield off, because it was in the way. Didn't even defend it. Didn't remove it properly, seeing as it is manufactured to be removable; sawed/cut it off. They had the _gall_ to actually argue and try to defend mutilating a vehicle without even telling the owner what they did to their car. Troubleshooting a stalling issue, they went ahead and replaced the spark plugs. They are very bad to go ahead and most unprofessionally do things to your car without asking or informing you until after the fact. Well, it turns out that they put the incorrect spark plugs into this vehicle. On the same car, they _also_ took most of the emergency brake assembly off the vehicle. They weren't supposed to be touching it. They weren't asked to even look at the emergency brake. They didn't inform the owner that they even looked at it, let along touched it; they just stole parts and let the owner leave with a non-functioning emergency brake they caused, without telling them. This is a hilly region. They could have killed someone by doing this, but I guess they were hoping I would come back when I "discovered" the emergency brake no longer worked. Do not go to this shop. They will do things without asking you, behaving very unprofessionally, put on incorrect parts, literally _chop_ parts off (and not even tell you) while also being overpriced compared to some other local shops. Then, after they do all this, they will smile at you and tell you "it's ready for the next thousand miles!"

This one has layers. Please, do not trust this shop…read more Please, do not allow this shop to do any work in your vehicle that doesn't involve tires. ASE Certified mechanic here... A year ago, they could not properly perform an alignment on my vehicle and told me I needed to have extra hardware installed which required over $300 in work. I took it to a trusted friend at Kress Tire in Pittsburgh and they aligned it just fine. Thought, alright, just a young mechanic's mistake, took an experienced fella to get it done right. Took it back later to have my vehicle inspected, I received a vehicle that was in fact inspected, but with a quote that "your exhaust has a slight leak and we will pass it this time, but will cost about $1,800 to repair next time" to which I rolled my eyes. I later took it to Deep Hollow in Albright, and the honest mechanic repaired it in an hour, very fine work for less than $200. It gets worse. Had the A/C refilled at Deep Hollow (my now trusted shop) But the pump had previous issues, and now required replacement. Shop didn't have time to fit me in before I leave for my road trip, so I tried Tire Lame again (not a typo) figuring hey, they can't strike out a third time, right? Right? Handed a very specific work order to only replace the A/C compressor. Quoted me $500 to replace my compressor. I brought the vehicle in, they then increased the quote to $800, to which I refused. Time to pick the vehicle up. I received the vehicle with no cruise control response (I am disabled in my right leg and always use CC) When I returned home, I traced the vacuum lines to find the careless mechanic had broken a nipple to the vacuum line just above the high pressure nipple for the A/C system and neglected to repair it afterward. Not to mention fully disconnecting the CC linkage on the throttle. That's not the worst. I delivered the vehicle with a full tank of gas, I picked it up an 1/8 under, with my dash cam wires disconnected. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO WORK ON YOUR VEHICLES. I've never seen such negligence. The only reason and the ONLY reason they get two stars, is they have good prices on tires. And the quality of tires has yet to be proven. Maybe I'll come back and rant about that too. If you made it this far, call someone else. You've obviously had your doubts. DM me if you want the video showing the post-pickup video of the issues they left me with and the repairs that I'll never get the time back for. Have a good day y'all, and stay away from shops like this.

That's not my opinion, I have lots of proof to back that up. I'll attach photos. He sold us a car a month & a half ago that apparently had zero issues, was ' just serviced ' & passed an emissions & inspection in September. There is no way that this vehicle passed either of these. Look up other reviews online & you'll see other people saying the same. The check engine light came on a WEEK after getting this car. We are $700 in repairs already & just found out that the car likely needs over $2,000 worth of work that we cannot afford to get. He hung up on us & blocked us when we brought some of this to his attention. Other people have also had that experience with him. I'm going to attach photos of the ad & all of the alleged work done to it, & compare that to the work we've had so far, barely a month after we got it. This car went through gas like crazy since the beginning, also it stops pumping gas sometimes as soon as only a few dollar's worth is put in. When it is nowhere near full. I'm talking close to e. Turns out, there's a leak & problems in the evap system & an another repair we need that is so costly, we can't afford it. So we're stuck, with no car. I may need to quit my job & get something with much less pay that I can walk to. I don't know how I'll get my teen with a ton of special needs, to his appointments now. And the owner just flat out doesn't care. He got his cash, so screw us, right ? We were told that there is zero way this passed recent emissions & inspection, at least not legitimately. I highly suggest steering clear of this entire place. Look up every review you can find & read them before making your decision. I'm giving him a couple of days to reach out & take this car & give us our money back. I doubt he'll do it. If not, I'm reporting him to the AG, the FTC, the IRS, & consulting with auto fraud attorneys. We have what we need to back everything up. The truth is on our side. Do yourself a favor. Stay away from these people & find a reputable seller. Also - look at the only positive review on here of this place. Notice how she only has one review on here & it's for this place ? I'm certain he plants good reviews on here & other places. So maybe take those reviews with a grain of salt.
