This place is beyond terrible. Been attending for 5 years . Lost my child's shot records . Called and office personnel continued to answer the phone and hang up 5 times in a row . When questioned about it , it was ignored like talking to a wall. Scheduled routine appointments take over 2 hrs . We will not be recommending nor using lakeside pediatrics ever again. I wouldn't be writing this review if we didn't repeatedly have bad experiences with this office. Although we liked our pediatrician, the overall care of the entire staff out weighed the one good doctor. If you have a question regarding a previous appointment , expect to never get a return phone call. Instead they will only answer your question if you schedule an appointment and come in to the office (money hungry?). I have never experienced such difficulty getting touch with the on call doctor at an office before, nor have I never experienced an office never returning a phone call in a timely manner. But that's what you'll get at this office. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

If I could do no stars I would . This place is horrible I took the risk with the 2 stars they have and made them my kids pediatrician. Let's rewind when my son was 3 months and was prescribed medication for thrush when it was only LINT ON HIS TONGUE. So I go home giving him medicine that's making him literally puke everytime I give it to him for something he don't even have . And I told them it makes him puke everytime they said to still give it to him . Let's fast forward to how unprofessional the front desk is .. I called them on a Friday to get his prescription refilled they told me they sent the authorization form to be signed by a dr I said ok ... no one called back I called Saturday left a voicemail no call back Monday I go in for my daughters appointment at her appointment I told them I didn't want her getting any vaccines and I gave my reason why as we leave I let the front desk know that I need my son's prescription authorized by a dr so I can get a refill for him they said ok it will be done I will be called ...by 4:30 I call them about my son's medication the first thing they say is that my kids can't come anymore after the 22nd of this month and that I owe them 113 dollars for my daughter... as if I cared and as if I called them regarding any of that I KNEW THAT ALREADY ! they acted as if they did not want to refill my son medication and that's ok . Because by 6pm I already had my kids a new doctor and my son medication refilled which I am picking that up now ! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE YALL DID NOTHING BUT DO ME AND MY KIDS A FAVOR THANKS SIDE NOTE WE WERE DISMISSED BECAUSE I SAID I DIDNT WANT MY DAUGHTER GETTING ANY VACCINES THEY WERE TRYING TO FORCE A 2 MONTH OLD 3 SHOTS IN ONE DAY ARE YALL CRAZY ? The doctors are good, the issue is with the staff that doesn't pay attention when you request information and make you wait 7 to 10 business days to let you know that the information requested can not be given to you cause your kids are over 18, when you specifically told them that from the beginning and had you sign a PHI for nothing, just to realize at the end that it was a waste of your time. read more

Physicians and NPs are great however, the techs/MAs are unprofessional and do not practice standard precautions/ hygiene such as washing their hands before they come in contact with patients. Acrylic nails should not be worn by medical professionals touching pediatric patients from newborn and up due to the clinical research stating they harbor bacteria that can not be removed if they were to practice standard precautions/ hand hygiene. The MA who seen my daughter today put her hands on me to push me out of her way after becoming belligerent with me and stating very unprofessional comments toward my husband and I. We will be changing my child's pediatrician due to the MA staff, which is unfortunate because the APRNs and MDs are wonderful! read more

I wish that I could give this place less than a star. I had my son recently at the hospital and we were met with Dr Cannon. We really loved her, so we decided to start going to Lakeside Pediatrics because that's where she practiced at. But, my goodness was that a mistake. He was born 10/29/21. When we were discharged they wanted us to get a heel prick to monitor the bilirubin/jaundice levels...so this office "emailed" us the order to go to Lakeland regional to have it done. I get there (mind you; this is one day after I was released and I was still very sore) they send me all over the hospital because they don't know where the order is for. Causing us to miss our initial appointment with Lakeside--the order was supposed to be STAT so that they can go over the results when we go to the appointment but it wasn't listed on the order. So, we had to reschedule our appointment to a later time. Finally we get back with the lab nurse and she pricks his foot and he stops bleeding and then pricks, and slides the needle and really cuts his food. We leave and then have to reschedule the appointment to later in the day. We finally get back to lakeside and they finally get us back in a room. Then a random guy walks in the room and very rudely asked me to put on my mask. I just had to basically walk all through the hospital and I was out of breath. We were supposed to meet with Dr Cannon. This person didn't tell us who he was or his title or anything. All he did was tell us what we're doing wrong, and that they hadn't gotten the results back because their receptionist didn't put STAT on the order and they didn't get the results back and they needed to reschedule to the next day. (Still never introduced himself). We go to leave and there was a lady in the lobby so upset because they never came out to her car--she checked her in and was sitting outside for over an hour and she called out to work to come to that appointment. We scheduled our next day appointment and the receptionist read the note and said that if they get the results back and everything is good--they will call us and cancel the appointment. So that's what happened. They got the results back and his jaundice levels were good and they canceled the appointment and set our next appointment for 11/16 with Dr Cannon. The next day I got a voicemail saying that we missed our appointment and that we need to reschedule. I call right back abs there were 37 people in the que. waited o Er an hour and finally got someone on the phone. Told her of the voicemail and she said that there isn't anything showing on my sons chart about an appointment...all it showed was the 11/16 with Dr Cannon. So, I just disregarded the voicemail. Then 11/16 came and my appt was for 2pm. I get there about 1:45ish. Respond to their text and checked in. The girl came out and gave me the clipboard . She came back out and said that my appointment was for 1:30 and that I missed it and now there isn't a spot for us. I showed her the text message where it clearly said 2pm 11/16 and the link to check in once I arrived. She spoke to someone on her headset and no response. She went back inside and came out and said "they must not know how to use the system because it was for 1:30 and we need to reschedule" she rescheduled me to today 11/18 at 2:45. At our last appointment, my son was a little under birth weight and they gave us Burts Bees organic infant milk formula and she told us to breast feed and then follow up with 2-3oz of formula every 2-3 hours. We have been doing that since last Thursday and his poops are like mustard color play dough and he is straining to poop. I called and they said I have to wait for his appointment and there wasn't any nurse I could speak with because "this isn't an emergency". Well, if your newborn is holding his breath, turning red and gasping trying to poop all because your doctor told us to feed him a high protein and high lactose formula.....this is on you! We are so over the amount of disrespect; communication issues, and mainly just poor doctor etiquette!!! I would highly recommend Dr Cannon but NOT THIS OFFICE! read more

My very first experience with this office was for my newborn appt. dr Ramos was great, however she requested us to come in the following day for a weight check and we had to see the on call dr which was A. Rollette. She walked in the room, did not introduce herself, so we were not sure whether she was the dr or the tech. My 3 year old was watching a movie on the phone because we had been in there waiting for about 20 minutes already..... and before she even introduced herself she said "you're going to have to shut that off, I can't think" SO RUDE!! She wasn't even in the room 15 seconds. Then my daughter fussed a little bit (as any child normally would & this lady is a stranger to her so even more so) and this rude dr reprimanded her as if she was the parent. I have never been so upset. She went on to examine my newborn baby and was so rough with her. I WILL NEVER SEE THE DOCTOR AGAIN. In fact another time I had to take me child in and she was the on call dr we chose to have my daughter seen the next day. I will not allow her next to my kids. So sad that a pediatrician would treat kids so terribly. read more

Love lakeside been going there for 9 years with my kids. Dr. snow is amazing as always. I've only ever had 1 problem there and that is Dr. Rolette. We wont see her again. Besides that al the other DRs are great. fast friendly and very personal. read more

Great experience at Lakeside Pediatrics with both of my children over the years. Dr. Rolette is one of the best pediatricians in Lakeland. I started off taking my children to another office when they were babies and was not happy with that doctor's bedside manner. I was referred to Dr. Rolette by a friend and have been coming here ever since. The staff is great and Dr. Rolette is really good with my kids. She always makes sure I am well informed with their condition and gives me an optimal advice to help them get better when they are sick. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Rolette. read more

Was a great place, now not so much. Especially if you have an appointment with Sairah Y Chachad. Don't be sixty seconds late for your appointment or it will be cancelled. Schedule for 10:05, arrived 10:06 and was sent away because we were too "late" and the doctor was all ready "running to far behind for the day". If you can't spare one minute to wait on caring for a 4 month old child, then do you think you really "care" about the child? Or just collecting the copayments? We will be seeing another doctor for now on. read more

I was a patient at Lakeside from 0-18, so when I had my baby I knew exactly where I'd be taking her. After my daughter Josie was born (3 weeks early), she was losing weight quickly which was concerning. But the on-call doctor Dr. Cara Cannon was so kind and had an excellent plan. She really advocated for Josie & me. We were quickly able to turn things around & ultimately my daughter thrived AND we have been able to exclusively breastfeed! Over the last 2.5 years we have primarily seen Dr. Cannon and I have felt so informed and supported during well visits, immunizations, sick visits, with breastfeeding, milestones, nutrition, etc. We also love Dr. Cory, Dr. Harrison and A.R.N.P.'s like Cindy Wallace (also a lactation expert), Rachel Brown & Janelle Thomas. There is sometimes a wait, but that's because they spend the time necessary with each patient and do their best to provide enough openings for last minute sick visits. It's also very convenient that there are two offices and weekend hours. Plus the sign in process is pleasant and billing has been smooth. I have seen good cooperation amongst the doctors and practicioners, which is very important to me. The best part about Lakeside- the staff sincerely care about children and families! I confidently recommend them to all my friends. read more
