They lost our order once, when we finally placed our order, they over charged our card and told us they couldn't reverse the charge until the next week when a manager was in. They said they Would call us with a quote for another job, but never heard back even after follow up calls. Will not do business here again and would recommend finding another place unless you have a bunch of time to waste.

As the previous reviewer stated, she seems professional and caring upfront. She even brought her mother along to help measure our kitchen. However, once your money is in her hands (thank God we only paid a fraction of what the final cost was to be), she is nothing but excuses and lies. She had actually done work for us in the past so we considered her something of a friend. That didn't stop her from shamelessly ripping us off. She strung us along for months, until we finally pulled the plug and went with another company, who gave us a fantastic kitchen, with stellar workmanship. They were honest and above board all the way. Unlike Henderson. Fortunately, we were able to afford the hit but what about those who can't walk away from a scam unscathed? Believe me, Henderson wouldn't care one iota. It is incredible to me that she she is able to sleep at night but then, anyone who uses her "dying" husband (he was already dead, when she tearfully tried that trick) to prevent her marks from getting antsy will truly stoop to any low, apparently without regrets. Run away from Northwood Kitchens and this con artist before you lose a bundle!

From Day 1, Jason and his amazing team of professional painters were on time, worked diligently with all their prep work, and took every step to ensure we were pleased with their work. Despite the home being a work zone, they were more than accommodating in navigating around us while we stayed in the home during the project. Jason and his team were a joy to be around and we grew to like and appreciate them all a great deal. And when the work was completed, we were in awe of the craftsmanship. With very little to touch up at the end, it's clear this group really takes pride in what they do. I couldn't recommend Elevation enough. Any painter can throw color on the walls, but this group takes it to the next level of what QUALITY work should look like. When I requested the cost of demo and removal the president refused to disclose the cost of demo and removal. When I explained that I need to have an idea of all costs, Mr. President ( he listed himself as the president of the company, I'm guessing to let me know there is no point to complain up) informed me he won't do business with me because "our price mindsets are different". I told him I've never been politely fired as a customer and I'm 56 years old. He replied he's been in business for 46. I am sure they probably do good work, but to treat me like he did for simply requesting all costs of a project prior to paying 50% of the costs reflect arrogance and my need to share this with others. Lots of people can install countertops. I went somewhere else and I am glad I did.

I thought that I would get personal service from Wood Tech. He showed up the next afternoon and was very professional . . . at first. He told me all about his business so I got a brief look into the young company. I told Dan what I wanted and then he started to get all flirty with me. It was very unprofessional but I figured it was all part of his sales pitch. What I really didn't like was when he tried to up-sell me over what I needed. He wanted to do more square footage and go with his premium package. He suggested that I have areas of wood flooring refinished that no other wood floor refinishing company would touch. I had done my research and talked to a few other companies before Dan, so I told him flat out what I wanted and nothing more. He gave me a verbal quote on price per square foot and I was happy with the numbers (he was in the ballpark for what I was looking to spend). He told me that I would have something from him later that day. Unfortunately, I had to wait a couple weeks to get the price quote. I reminded him several times that I was waiting for his bid. That should have been my clue to lose his number but his initial numbers were good and his time to complete the work was attractive. Each time I asked him to send over his estimate, I received an apology and an excuse that was either redundant, too personal or both. When I finally did get the quote, he had changed the scope of the work to the up-sell (which was about six times my budget). There was no mention of what I had talked to him about what I wanted done. I told him that this is not what I wanted nor what I needed. I wanted an estimate for what I asked him to do for me. A week later, he finally did get me a quote for the work that I wanted but again it was more expensive (per square foot) than what he had verbally quoted me a month earlier. I again asked him about it and then Tanya Van Auken chimed in. She said that if I wanted a written quote for the work that _I_ wanted done that I was not the company for them. WOW!! I went back to my neighbor and they did get the up-sell by Wood Tech as well. They didn't do their research and unfortunately they did buy Wood Tech's Kool-Aid. He was all about the getting one time business and not keeping customers. I don't see him being around very long. Needless to say, I went with another company. PLEASE SHOP AROUND!!
