While we were out on the water, one of the jet skis suddenly died and would not drive anymore. We had to tow it back to the dock. After we returned it, we were shocked to be told that we had broken the driveshaft and were being held responsible for the damage. We never crashed the jet ski, hit anything, sucked anything up on the bottom or misused it in any way. It simply stopped running during normal use. To make matters worse, we were charged $1,325 for the alleged damage. I do not believe the situation was handled fairly, and it was incredibly frustrating to be held financially responsible after the jet ski failed while we were using it responsibly. If you're considering renting from EZ Boat Rentals, I strongly recommend DONT!

The staff thoroughly explained how to operate the boat, anchor, and navigate the lake, which is why we chose to return for Fourth of July weekend. Unfortunately, the difference in service was night and day. At check-in, despite having reserved and paid months in advance, we were asked not only for our reservation confirmation but also for my fiancé's bank transaction to prove payment because of the marina's history of fraudulent reservations. As returning customers, being asked to provide our personal banking information to verify a reservation was both unnecessary and wildly unprofessional. Once on the lake, we had difficulty anchoring and called for assistance. We followed the instructions we were given, but the anchor detached completely from the rope. We returned to the marina and were charged for a replacement anchor. Later, when it was time to leave, the replacement anchor became stuck. Even after two nearby boaters swam over to help, we could not retrieve it. We called the marina again, asked for troubleshooting, and requested someone come assist us. We were told no. We had no choice but to return without the anchor and were charged for both anchors and a late fee--even though the delay resulted from equipment issues and the marina declined to assist us on the water. What disappointed me most wasn't the charges--it was the lack of customer service. As renters with limited boating experience, we relied on the marina's guidance and assistance when problems arose. Instead, we were left to figure it out ourselves and then billed for the outcome. I emailed management in an effort to resolve the matter privately before posting a review and never received a response. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Lakeway Marina and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Martin replied quickly and thoroughly via text, and we were able to make a less than 6 hour booking work. To our surprise, Martin wasn't just our captain, he's also the owner of Splash Weird! For a 3-hour rental, the total was $720, which included the captain, a lily pad, and gratuity (though additional tips are always appreciated)!! The launch point is in Lake Travis at Mansfield Dam Park. Since it's a public, county park, you're required to pay $5pp upon entry (CASH ONLY). Once inside, make sure to park on the left side for the closest access to the dock! Unfortunately, as of 9/18/25, the dock is closed for maintenance--so Martin will launch the boat with you already on board!

This company has zero resources; we got lucky, two guys on a boat saw us and helped tow the jet ski. Spent more time on the jet ski being towed than actually riding it. Once we got to the shore, they didn't give me extra time or another jet ski, didn't return a dime from my rental payment and accused me for breaking their jet ski. Literally blamed me in front of other customers. For someone who absolutely loves jet skiing this was the worst experience ever! I won't be renting from them again.

Wave Ride'n Rentals has brand new equipment, and they also don't have a specific location so they have several lakes they can drop off your rental at (they meet you there). You can do everything over text message so you don't have to call if you don't want. Just text the number showing on their Yelp page there. As for the waverunner experience itself, it's fun and easy. You can go really fast. You have to stay 50 feet away from other boats etc. The Wave Ride'n Rentals person that dropped off your waverunner will wait for you to finish your session and then you just take it back to the dock and he picks you up. He walks you through it so it's not hard. The only thing I would recommend is, if you go to a big lake, before you drive off in the waverunner, tell Siri to save your location (or take a screenshot). That way you can figure out how to get back if you get a bit lost! Oh also, they provide life vests and all that so all you have to bring is yourself and whoever is riding with you, some sunglasses, and your phone. We never fell in but they acted like that is a possibility, so maybe wear swim trunks etc. Have fun! Highly recommend this business. Great experience!

I reserved paid in full, then got a message about the jet skis being out of commission due to an accident from the party before me- less than 2 hours before my rental (easter weekend). I did not get upset like accidents happen i get that. The driver said management would be in touch to confirm refund. I sent the screen shot to the email and asked to confirm refund. Called the number on the website- not in use anymore. Called and left the message with the number on the receipt- left message saturday, sunday and monday- called tuesday just didnt leave a message. I also texted and texted the driver to help get in contact with management. Its crazy that i still have yet to hear back and there wasnt even apology for the inconvenience of the holiday weekend having to be completely hail maryed to entertain my kids. im still wating on management and a refund confirmation.

It took them two months to finally give us a quote for State Farm insurance. They had our boat for seven months, constantly stringing us along with lies and excuses as to why it was taking so long to repair our boat. They told us that they had a buyer for the boat and had actually gotten a substantial deposit to secure the purchase of the boat, none of which turned out to be true. When we finally had had enough of their BS and lies, we went and got our boat back, only to find that they had not finished the repairs that we had already paid them for, but they also somehow managed to put 70+ hours of use on our boat. Moe bragged to a good friend of ours that he "drives the hell" out of the boats on his lot until his customers come back and take their boats. We have another friend that told us he was using our boat to party on the lake. We are seriously considering legal action. I wholeheartedly would not recommend anyone use Moe & Karen to do any repairs on anyone's boat. I absolutely do not trust them! We asked for, but never received a refund for the repairs that we had paid for that they never performed, but they also depreciated the value of our boat by running the hell out of it and stacking up 70+ hours of use on our boat.
