The road noise is continuous however you're right next to I10 so it's convenient. An employee drove ahead of us to our site and because our power cord is in the rear of our trailer they let us use the box on the next site so we could keep the truck hitched. Note- The roads leading in and out under I10 seem reversed to me so be careful.

There is a field to play fetch. It's close to the highway and Pappadeaux's restaurant for those who like fish. There are other restaurants near by and gas stations. My only negative is not toward Gulf Coast RV, but the lazy people that own dogs and don't pick up the mess in the bark park. For goodness sake, they provide everything you need to pick it up and a trash can. They even have a big sign on the gate entrance to remind you to do it.

When I walked into the office to register, there was a nice welcome sign with the names of those who were checking in that day. Paper work was prepare and easily taken care of and our site was clean and tidy. Our site table was totally and un-usable she swapped it out without a fuss. The 'lake' was more a retaining pond but stocked with fish (they say). Dog run area was new, clean and ok. I would not make this a destination but it was great as a stop-over. We certainly would stay here again.

Faucet barely reaches sink, when washing hands the water goes everywhere We tried out this hotel because of the 9/10 ranking that it received on Yelp. Far higher than the other hotels in the area. The ranking is a mystery to me. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years in my job, and that ranking is ridiculous at best and suspect at worst. There were two pluses that I can honestly point out: The modern hip colors in blue , grey and red, if you like their minimalist decor and the coffee that is only in the eating area is very good. The Best Western Plus we stayed in the night before far exceeded this place in every way!
