Went to the front desk and they have no one at the lodge. The sign directed you to call a number. They answered right away and provided a back up code. The lodge appears to be a former Comfort Inn. It's a bit tired looking but clean. The pool was shut down. The parking is plentiful. The bed was super comfortable! The serve a cold breakfast. It was set out about an hour late. The rate seems a little high for what you get but choices are limited in the area.

Our economy room had two queen beds, a refrigerator, microwave with a terrace overlooking the pool. Our room was dated but very clean, quiet and sufficient for two nights. There was plenty of free parking. The motel was right on Lake Huron, the Straits of Mackinac. We are a five minute walk to the ferry to Mackinac Island. Breakfast was served until 10 o'clock in the morning. It was very busy with big groups of children under five and seniors; an interesting mix. There were three waffle makers with assorted toppings, coffee, frozen pastries, yogurt, biscuits & gravy, eggs & bacon. There was an indoor & an outdoor pool, coin operated washing machines, fitness center, nightly bonfire and playground on the premises. A golf cart shuttled seniors & children around the property.

However, it was beautiful and more affordable. Michael and the rest of the house keeping team kept the place immaculate. Very clean, comfortable beds, ample parking even if you have a trailer, some units are pet friendly too. Having a kitchen, with clean dishes, is awesome as well as having laundry on site!
