There was plenty of free parking. The motel was right on Lake Huron, the Straits of Mackinac. We are a five minute walk to the ferry to Mackinac Island. Breakfast was served until 10 o'clock in the morning. It was very busy with big groups of children under five and seniors; an interesting mix. There were three waffle makers with assorted toppings, coffee, frozen pastries, yogurt, biscuits & gravy, eggs & bacon. There was an indoor & an outdoor pool, coin operated washing machines, fitness center, nightly bonfire and playground on the premises. A golf cart shuttled seniors & children around the property.

The king suite was nice and nicely decorated but the bathroom was badly dated and needed an upgrade to match the rest of the room. The public areas of this hotel were worn and beat up. A major renovation is needed. The breakfast was a disaster since hoards of grade schoolers were in the tiny breakfast area. The hotel should have come up with an accommodation for the few non tour group guests staying here. The front desk help were the least friendly of the many hotel staffs we have encountered in our trip through northern Michigan... An OK stay.

But since the lobby is adjacent to it, I can tell you that the casino was very smokey. The one problem we did have was that the Wifi wasn't working in our room, even though it was supposed to. We were told that it was working in the lobby. That wasn't very helpful. Our room and the bathroom were both very clean. It was roomier than a lot of other rooms we've stayed in, which was nice. We all liked the rustic furniture. We would definitely stay here again.

We drove from south of Jackson Michigan for our little vacation. Needless to say, we checked out a day early. The room was oddly laid out; not the normal for your name. There was one small trash can in the room. Sheets were dingy yellow. Bathroom felt as if we were staying in a fly by night hotel. Not one picture on the walls; rather eerie.
