We had to bring in the company fleet (2025 with only 20K on it) for warranty work. We are 45 min out of town and had to bring in a staff member to bring car in. Appointment was for 9:15am and staff member had not heard from service department by 4:00. Finally by 4:30 they looked at it, but had no time to fix it. Although once they looked at it, they said it was be a quick fix, just a couple hours. Needless to say the car did not get fixed at all, staff member drove it back to our office. We will be going to a different dealer to have this resolved. read more

If I could put zero stars I would. If you want a lemon instead of a brand new vehicle, come to Lakewood chev. These guys cannot fix a simple issue if their lives depended on it. I bought a brand new 2025 Chevy Trax from these guys a year ago, and I've had to bring it in 5 separate times. 4 times for the same issue which they say they replaced the part but still having the same issue. They will swindle you and smooth talk you into thinking they are honest folks, but don't be fooled. This place is after your money and their mechanics cannot seem to figure out any issues. Save yourselves the headache and go to any other Chevy dealership. One of my cousins who worked there gave me a recommendation, I told them they recommended me when I bought a new vehicle. My cousin was supposed to get $500 for the recommendation, and these cheap liars didn't give him anything. Buyer beware and don't trust anyone who works here. I purchases a brand new 2023 Chevrolet Blazer (July 17, 2023). When I went to pick up the car there were a few minor scratches on the car, at this point the car salesman said I could take the car and bring it back in a few weeks to have the scratches repaired. I was very nervous about this because of past experience. A few hours after I left I noticed that the passenger door was also not aligned properly so I sent them a message and pictures. He said don't worry just show it when I drop it off for the paint. On Friday Aug 18, 2023 I decided to bring the SUV in to have it fixed, they told me it would be ready later that day. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, go by still no car. Finally Tuesday I phone and they tell me the car is ready. When I go in they did no work on the door and told me it is supposed to be like that. The car still had bug guts on the from where they were to have removed the scratches and there were now even more scratches on the car. I argued about the door and the scratches so they tell me to leave the car there and they will fix it. Thursday comes and they tell me they need the loaner back and to take my car. I am told that they buffed the scratches but the person doing the coating can't get to my car until Wednesday the following week. I come and pick up my SUV. On Aug 29th I sent them photos of how badly the detailers scratched up my SUV, you can see everywhere they buffed and everywhere they didn't, when the sun was on it. It was all scratched and a weird haze on it that didn't come off. The clear coat was even buffed off in spots. I was advised by the salesman Cam that they were accusing me of doing this to my own SUV. He told me he knows I didn't do it. I was nervous about this not working so Cam said if it doesn't work and the car isn't perfect after this coating that he will get me into a new blazer in grey or white at no additional cost to me other then the increased cost of the car ( trade in would be what I owe ). I drop my SUV off on Aug 30, 2023 to have this coating, I phone on September 1st to see when it will be available for pick up and I am told they didn't have time to complete and that they would work on it Saturday and I can pick it up on the Monday. Monday comes and I go to get my car and I notice that there are still bug guts on the car that have now been ceramic coated over so they wont come off. There was also water spots in the coating from when they installed it. I was advised to not worry and they would get back to me. I noticed the coating also left this weird pattern all over my car. When this got brought up with the car dealer he called me a liar saying that his guy would never ever ceramic over bugs he is the best in the business, keep in mind I was told by Cam the sales man that he was pretty sure the detailer that worked on my car was fired. Chris Fish from cleanfreaks (he does the coating) said that there was damage to more than 85% of my car on his facebook post. The sales manager hung up on me so I drove to the dealer ship where he wouldn't even come out to look at my car. After talking with the salesman he decided to come out agreed to work on the front of the car some more but that he wouldn't touch the rest of the car. He told me it comes this scratched from the factory and that all black cars are like this. I ad agreed to have them try to work on it but then advised I was going to seek legal advise first s now they are not responding me to. I am not sure where to go from here but I bought a new car not one that they have damaged so much. read more

I am a previous customer at Lakewood and my name came up on their system when Carlos my sales guy inquired. I went in on Wednesday night to test drive a vehicle. I gave the sales guy my DL then noticed it was 5 minutes before closing. I said I didn't want to make him stay late so we booked an appointment for the next day at two. I got there the next day before two and let them know I was there. Carlos was a few minutes late (no big deal). Before the test drive Carlos asked my to come into his office. He asked for my DL again and a credit card. I told him no to the credit card and he told me no test drive. I said ok and left the dealership. I am pretty sure Sherwood Park Chevrolet will let me take a test drive without laying down a credit card first. Good luck with your test drive policy. read more

Service department does not help you if there is a possible issue. Had two side windows break over the course of one year. The first window was replaced after having to talk with the service manager (I was under 5000km). Second window broke and after a week's worth of song and dance I was told they wouldn't cover any of it. Window broke while parked and was not a robbery in both cases. Glass was in a full sheet when I got to the car. Took complaint to GM Canada and they did not resolve either. They took a full three weeks to tell me the same thing. Had to phone repeatedly for updates. Messages were not passed on to claims associate. DO NOT BUY A GM. They are not willing to help the little guy and only have the baseline in mind. read more

Body shop this is for you: I had my truck in for an appraisal after I was sideswiped in a car accident. Now I'm ONLY getting my front bumper fixed from the insurance company because of his Rob Wild's appraisal! I have a brand-new truck with lots of new damage!!!! My alignment is now out of whack, my rim is bent. An all Rob Wild could say was your truck could have been like that before the accident... What a goof! On top of that he does not know how to send an email... crazy right.. It's 2017 !?! I have to drive across the city tonight after work because he cannot email me my copy of his appraisal, which was done on March 31- it's April 11 today. He just can't seem to figure out his computer, even with me spelling my hotmail out over the phone. Go somewhere else with your appraisals people! read more

The staff here are professional and personable. I bought my first car here and I have been happy with the customer service. Generally any warrantied repairs have been well preformed and well an oil change is an oil change. The "Are You Completely Satisfied" pitch that they won't stop bringing up, while a little annoying, does seem to be effective in ensuring their staff get the job done right. read more

Brought in a 2016 Ford Explorer that was a lease back, they told me I would get 2500 above the lease payout, no problem, because Ford said a lower amount, they just want to inspect it, sure no problem, drop the vehicle off on a Monday, couple days go by, no word on how the inspection went, send a text to the sale guy, he says there was a delay and it should be going in today,,ok, 4 days go by, no word on the inspection, text the sales guy, he says they were waiting on quotes for body damage!! it's a used car, when do dealerships want to repaint a used car? they have the car over a week and when I question them on why we haven't heard back from them, also Ford told us a number with in 2 hours of seeing the vechicle, oh the buy out was higher then we thought so maybe you should take it back to Ford, ok we will, we go pick up the vehicle and they have to boost it, battery dead, it worked fine when I dropped it off, oh well learn from you experiences I guess, and then when my GF who owned the car phoned to talk to the manager that was so called in charge of the deal, he go pissy and hung up on her. I recently took my vehicle in for repairs and was dealing with the service manager Paul Hrynew. I got the impression I should be grateful as he seemed to think he was doing me a favor. Funny as without the customers I wonder where he would be? He acted a wee bit too confident and lacked compassion. Very poor bedside manners. Sometimes the customer is not always looking to be correct but more so be heard and appreciated. Don't waiste your time or money here as it's unlikely you will create a relationship with this dealership! As long as he's manager anyways! read more

Bought a new truck here recently, went through the typical dealer bs, aftersales service is not great and you have to book your service work and even your oil changes. I feel their techs dont have enough product knowledge to deal with brand new vehicle issues. read more

absolutely never buy or get your car serviced at LakeWood Chev http://www.lakewoodchev.com/HomePage I have had my car for a year (great car love it) but the service for my car from lakewood has been the worst, from them breaking parts, unhooking parts, scratching paint, not doing the service that was booked, taking my car for 3 days to do a oil change and tire rotation and fix the seal on the oil pan(3 DAYS!!!) and in the end having them over spray the undercoat rubber over my shocks, hookups for brakes, and plastic wheel well. and by over spray I do not mean some splatter I mean you can no longer see the part, there's more on the one shock then the body around it... And when I talked to the general manager today about my year of them doing the worst service I have ever seen all he had to say was. That they have the best service centre in Canada... he said that to my face after I had just talked to him about a year of them being the worst service centre... Love my Chevrolet vehicles. After my fiancé was in a bad accident a little over a week ago we went in to check out some SUVs. The salesmen we were with was quite rude. Felt we were not taken serious because we are younger. Wasn't super impressed with how unfriendly it felt or how short the test drive was. Not to mention that we had to pretty much beg for the test drive, because apparently without approved credit, they won't let you test drive, even though we told them multiple times we had no intentions of financing right away. Will for sure be going to a different Chevrolet dealership next time. read more
