If u need bathroom be prepared to drive to other parking lot at moon lake or walk all the way down. We enjoyed the small splash pad and swings. I took my 2 year old and walked down to Moon Lake where I used to love running. Other than the duck n geese poop everywhere, including walk path, it was the same. It has a nice, wide walk path all the way around the lake and nature trails off of one end.

Mr. & Mrs. Hatcher were friendly and genuinely concerned for our safety, making us feel right at home. This was definitely one of the nicest campgrounds we've been to, with all the hookups. Though we didn't, you can actually look through all the campsite photos on their website before choosing which one you want, which is awesome. They don't sell firewood, but Mr. Hatcher said we were welcome to pick up dead branches we found, which some places don't allow, and there was plenty of wood! We do have an axe, which was very helpful. Bluff Creek Campground is the perfect inexpensive place to stay and we wish we'd stayed longer!

My boyfriend booked us a trip on Saturday, it was both our first time and Jackson was an absolute champ. He was so knowledgeable about the river, its history (very rich history here), and we had such a fun experience doing the classic trip. He made sure we were suited up right, checked on us, we felt safe the entire time. We've definitely unlocked a new hobby! The day was super nice, we even got to surf and float down part of the lazy river. Jackson also literally carried our group- he was very mindful of us and made sure we were safe and not over-exert as well. Will 100% be back for the challenger trip next time when I come to visit :) also zip-lining! Whitewater Express also has a lot of equipment at their store- so check it out before and after your excursion!
