I've heard good things about this place, but unfortunately I wasn't blown away. I met a friend for dinner at 6pm on a Tuesday. No reservations, but there was plenty of seating. We were promptly greeted by our server and she was pleasant through the entire meal. The reason for my disappointment was that our onion ring order was delivered well past when we received our meal. When this happens it's pretty annoying. I can understand if it's a weekend and it occasionally happens due to the kitchen being behind, but it was a Tuesday. We were given an apology, but were charged for the order. I don't expect free food, but it would be nice to have a discount on an appetizer that was delivered well past the meal. They were good onion rings though. The burger was an average burger, but the bun was a little hard. I was also charged extra for dipping sauces we didn't receive. Normally, I have no problem correcting the issue right there on the spot, but I suddenly felt ill and needed to leave (unrelated to restaurant experience). I LOVE these nachos! Every chip is fully loaded, and the rest of their food is just as excellent. Dick is a big fan of their Teriyaki Bowl--there's so much food it easily makes two meals. The service is great, but I recommend making reservations because they seem to stay busy. They offer free surface parking, though finding a spot can sometimes be a challenge. We've been here several times, and I forgot to take photos of the food, but this was our first time going there for brunch. I've got to say, this is one of the best omelettes I've had in a very long time. They use double smoked ham, which has so much flavor, and I added onions and peppers to the ham and cheese omelette to make it a Denver. This is a brand new bar/restaurant! We went here to watch the Gopher hockey game and they have plenty of TVs so you won't miss a second! The restaurant is really bright and inviting, lots of seats and the staff is very well trained and really nice! They have plenty of beers on tap and even non alcoholic ones if you don't drink. We started off with some cheese curds that were really good, one downside is that there was too much breading. For my main meal I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was really good!! I'm not a huge blue cheese fan but it blended really well with the Buffalo sauce and chicken, just the right amount of spice! We can't wait to come back again! This was my first time visiting this establishment and I was honestly excited to have another restaurant in Woodbury because of the growth the city has seen in the last couple of years. Parking was a bit challenging we thought it was because of this restaurant being new but it wasn't really busy in the restaurant at all. He took our order, I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and my other half ordered a chicken quesadilla, and we had walleye fingers for an appetizer. While we waited we watched sports on the televisions they had mounted all over. I did like how the place was decorated, it seemed very different then what I was used to but not too over the top for a tavern/sports bar. The service was pretty good, the bathrooms were clean and everything was fine however the food was bland. The food didn't seem to be seasoned at all if it was it didn't taste like it was. Lots of high top tables, and tvs. It's busy which is a good sign and it's only been open roughly 6 weeks. Well unfortunately i was not impressed. Being gluten free I was excited to have gluten free options and opted for the burger with a gfree bun and fries. The bun was delish and held together but the burger was way over cooked with no flavor. I ordered it medium. I also ordered it California style which to me means avocado which I was thankful I asked ahead of time. It means LTO, lettuce, onion, tomato...you Minnesotans are so crazy that you think that's California style. If you want those on your burger that's an up charge of 50 cents a piece! Fries were okay...nothing special. And the only other issue that my entire party of 5 didn't care for was the volume of music. Omg, I thought I was at a club at 5pm on a Sunday. First time having dinner here tonight. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and the order was not correct. (The manager, Mel, did a great job straightening it out). Our group ordered the bourbon burger, the Caliente burger, the meatball sandwich and the Sicilian sandwich. The bourbon burger that was delivered was not what was ordered (instead someone's gluten free burger was delivered) but that was fixed promptly and the new burger was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. The meatball sandwich was over cooked (burnt?) and had no marinara. That was also replaced with a new sandwich that came with a side of marinara, which was actually quite tasty. (I would have been embarrassed to serve the first meatball sandwich.) There were no complaints about the Caliente burger and the Sicilian sandwich was tasty enough. The side of coleslaw that came with two of the sandwiches was dry and fairly flavorless. And the portion on the coleslaw was very skimpy. The manager deducted two beers on our two tabs to make up for the mistakes. That was a nice gesture but didn't quite make up for the overall disappointment (frustration). And I am never a fan of getting replacement meals after others are done with their meal. We will definitely give it another try as the manager did her best to make this right. This place opened 3 weeks ago and was already super busy around 4 on a Friday. Most places in Woodbury seem to not even open by 4. For front row parking, even though it was packed so that made the experience a great one as we walked in the door. Really good service and a ton of really good beer, including some local craft beer I haven't tried before. Bartenders were very busy, but took care of everyone while making our visit very personable. I had the Toppling Goliath * Dragon Fandango sour beer. Loved the flavor and it wasn't overly sour and more sweet. I also tried the Jester King * Mr. Mingo (Hibiscus Edition) which was a Farmhouse Ale and also super easy to drink. The food looked good, but we came for a drink, so will be coming back to try the Italian fries and more. There are plenty of tvs around the entire restaurant and at the bar. The hostess greeted us right away and was very friendly. We had a very attentive server as well. We went for lunch and they offered both breakfast and lunch items. I had the hangover burger, which was really good. It's a half pound fresh burger on a soft bun. It had peppered bacon that could have been cooked longer but was tasty. The egg was cooked perfect! I ordered it without the hash browns but requested raw onions. It came without both. The waffle fries were an up charge and not worth it. They were just plain and unseasoned. I also ordered a side of the onion dip. Blah. It was not very good and almost tasted sweet. It just wasn't what I was expecting. My friend ordered the junkyard and thought is was decent. It had a ton of peppers, so if you like that it's a good one to order. Overall it was pretty good. I realize they have been only open under 2 weeks. It was super busy tho. I've been to Lakewood Tavern a few times however, I'm familiar with their menu as I've been to the Blvd Tavern in WSP many times. There are not a ton of sit down restaurants in Lake Elmo, so this place is a great addition to the city. Restaurant is located in a strip mall so the parking lot is shared which is fine there's lots of spots (may just have to walk a little further). When we arrived around lunch time Saturday it was busy as to be expected. Our party size was 8 (3 adults and 5 children). The hostess was great! He informed us the wait was 45/60 minutes, but also offered an alternative suggestion of having the kids sit in the table next to us. Brilliant idea and just like that we were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. Our waitress was attentive and kept our beverages full. Food was very good as always. We were too full to try dessert, maybe next time. The Sicilian sandwich is great! You can get it served hot or cold. Tots are always so good! The number of nacho platters coming out to tables... They have an indoor and patio area. There is a large bar inside, and they are currently building a bar for the patio area. The food was very average. I had the seasonal Sweet and Sour bowl with grilled chicken. There wasn't enough Sweet and Sour sauce for the amount of rice provided. It tasted fresh, but the quality was similar to something I could easily make at home. My husband didn't like the Nashville Chicken Sliders. The fried batter had an odd taste to it. The waffle fries he added to the meal were good and didn't have an odd fried taste. The service seemed a little disorganized. We had numerous servers bringing our food, etc. Our cheese curds were delivered to another table, and we had to ask for them again when our entrees came.
