More good food today. A flower for Mothers Day. Service was great. Breakfast potatoes were just ok.

Northern Taphouse is a great place to watch a game, eat dinner with friends or family or just grab a quick draft beer! The tap list is one of the largest I've seen and the fajita chicken nachos were honestly the tastiest nachos I've ever had! Our server was super friendly and the food was fast and delicious. Plenty of parking and seating options available.

We've been here several times with friends. Service: I'll say the service is always friendly and prompt. They hire nice people here! Ambiance is typical Taphouse and sports bar vibe. Fun, young, loud! Food: this is quite hit and miss. I would do 3.5 stars but I rounded up. Ahi tuna is stringy. Smash burgers are pretty plain and bland. No HH menu. We all agree we don't come here for the food. But if you're looking for a loud and hapoening place with plenty of screens, it's ok for a Tuesday night.

I've been wanting to try the Northern Taphouse for a while. The monthly Bloody Marys was what drew my attention. I finally made it out there, the environment was very relaxed, and chilled. A sports bar yet family friendly. We went around 6 which of course was prime time, but they have a waitlist you can call ahead or join the waitlist via Yelp. We joined the waitlist via yelp and checked in when we got there. It was pretty busy, we waited maybe 5 minutes before being seated so it was a really nice and convenient option that they offer. The Bloody Mary did not live up to my expectations. It lacked flavor. I trenched it with Tabasco to be able to even finish half of it. The toppings were good, I couldn't tell you everything that was on it but reference the image. I also go traditional wings with a dry habanero rub. Wings were cooked well, nice and juicy. I went there with 3 of my girlfriends and everyone had different items. I can't remember what everyone ordered, but I didn't hear any complaints. We did get nachos, it is a big portion but it wasn't our favorite. Overall, it was enjoyable.

Cherry Pepper burger on a pretzel bun with a side of beyond salty French onion soup.

My first visit to a Northern Taphouse and the first impression was very positive. We received an upbeat greeting and were seated at one of the perimeter booths that afforded nice views of the good looking bar area, restaurant and numerous TVs. The menu is fairly large but unfortunately, for one friend at our table, did not include any wraps. And, if you like bacon, you'll love NT. They've got bacon on almost every burger and would probably be glad to add it to one of their three varieties of Cheese Curds...this must be a Wisconsin-based company. I ordered the Cherry Pepper smash burger on a pretzel bun (a nice option) and onion soup (also a nice alternative to fries or house chips). Our orders arrived in good time and our attentive server was close behind to check on the food and beverages. Unfortunately, the Onion soup was so salty it was impossible to enjoy after only 3 spoonfuls. The hamburgers were ok...but remember that "smash burger" means REALLY well-done! Overall, our table ranked their food; the small Taphouse salad (served in a ridiculously small bowl), Mango Chicken Quesadillas and a Black Bean burger...a 2.5. By the way, the company website boasts to be a "no-cookie cutter" group of restaurants. My buddy checked the menus offered in Lakeville, Plymouth and Woodbury locations...all were identical. We call B.S.! Bottom line...service was above average, menu was average, pricing OK, food was subpar, restrooms above average. Northern Tap was fine but definitely not worth driving out of your way to experience.

Thank you Woodbury for brining a great bar/restaurant to the east metro!! They have tons of beer on tap daily and their food is so unique! If you want to watch a sporting event or hang with your buddies, this is the place to go! Whether you're inside or out, there's plenty of TVs. I cant wait to sit outside, their patio is small but great for summer days. This location can get busy during lunch or dinner time but it's worth the wait!

Finally decided to check out a newer restaurant in the Woodbury area. It's super popular. There was quite the wait...the question being...was it worth it? When we finally got our table, I ordered the spicy bourbon Hawaiian in cauliflower crust. I absolutely love Hawaiian but this was a different version. It was good but not out of this world. The service was good. The place has lots of TVs and a very OCD atmosphere and super loud. As always it's fun to check out and support the new restaurant in town.

    Rock hard salmon. Salmon Bowl.

Worst meal ever. Bought Salmon Bowl. The Salmon was so over cooked it was burnt to the point of being so hard, couldn't cut it using a steak knife. Will never go back. Don't recommend!

Can't say I've ever had bad food here. Staff is friendly. Drinks are a plenty. Flights, outstanding.

Highly recommend putting in your name ahead of time via the virtual waitlist. This place is usually packed. We've always had really good service! Drinks: The Bloody Mary meals are really fun and I am a fan of their Espresso Martini. The beer list has a nice mix of local craft brews, too. Food: I haven't found anything on the menu that I'm super impressed by, but nothing is bad. If I was to recommend an order I'd say the smash burger with truffle fries (garlic aioli) and if you want an app try the dill pickle cheese curds. Husband likes the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich.

The fact that they have housemade pasta in all kinds of varieties says a lot, they really care about attention to detail, and it is evident in the menu offerings. We ended up getting a handful of items to include the focaccia with seasonal butter, garlic bread with marinara dipping sauce, hamachi crudo, and the rigatoni. The rigatoni had berbere spices in it which made it super flavorful and unlike any other pasta I've had in the twin cities. The berbere spice is traditional to Ethiopian slow-cooked stews so to find it in a pasta at an Italian restaurant was very intriguing! The flavors were perfect! I am excited to try more things from the menu and try other pastas, the flavors did not miss and I was impressed to say the least. The ambience is also lovely, you'll forget that you're in a shopping center in the burbs. I will say however that the pricing was high for the area, $28 for a lamb bolognese is a little egregious.

I have been here two times in the last week and lemme tell ya.. this is quite the spot. I do suggest making a reservation because everytime I go here it is popping! What a vibey place, the lights aren't too bright, it gives a hip, fun, light energy and is not too pretentious but has INCREDIBLE FOOD AND DRINKS. Right now, one of their specials is whitefish toast.. if you enjoy fish at all, you need this. The fish is light and fresh, they put fresh dill on top and it is placed on top of some toasted sourdough bread perfectly. The fish is flavorful, a lil earthy and I feel as if there are capers or olives in in the fish mixture, whatever it is is fire! The burrata, beets, and citrus is a nice lovely, fresh, light app, the burrata is perfection with the beets and fresh, juicy citrus, drizzled with some oil and random pieces of garlic mixed in, YUM. I suggest ordering bread on the side with this one! The wings here are a staple and always delish. Crispy, hot, and coated perfectly in a light sweet chili sauce.. they hit the spot everytime. The housemade ranch is a perfect dipper. The other day I tried the chorizo and scallops... oh my goodness gracious.. it was a lil spicy and creamy with the bean puree and the scallops were buttery, light and divine! 10 outta 10 would do again. Finally, got the goat cheesecake, gluten free ginger snap crust with poached pears. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I want this now and in every lifetime! The cheesecake was light, yet decadent, deep, creamy with a light, unassuming flavor. The crust was delicious and the poached pears added that perfect fruit component. I got Liam as my server both times, he was helpful, attentive, had good suggestions when asked questions and didn't interrupt at all, amazing! This is the spot for any occasion!
