I just got done with dinner on the patio at The Wick. Not only is the environment amazing but the service we received from Abby was top notch. One of our local favorite spots. The food is on point and the varied menu has something for everyone. The cocktails are equally delightful and the service is consistently good. One downfall is it can be very loud on a busy night. On our recent visit, we all enjoyed our dinner and cocktails. I had the pepperoni pizza (which I've had before) which is one of my favs when I'm in the mood for pizza. Hubby had the mac & cheese which has spicy bacon-wrapped shrimp. The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked over a very creamy and tasty macaroni. Classic country club ambiance with starters to die for and entrees that only suffice. This place obviously caters to the quick snack and drink needs for golfers and community get-togethers, but as walk-ins for just food we were very welcomed. Getting to the dining area will require a short stroll to the "back" of the clubhouse. Ambiance is fine indoors, but we really enjoy the summer evening breeze overlooking the green. Appetizers and some specialty (non-alcoholic) drinks 5/5 The Cajun chicken soup is amazing and the wedge salad was delicious. Entrees were maybe 2-3/5 The wick burger was very very plain and slightly over done for my liking. The fish tacos were also quite average and the portion wasn't as large as you'd think. Those who served us (there was a few) all did a great job. Seems like they hire young people from the community and train them well. They were prompt and polite and did so with a smile. I would recommend the visit if you're nearby and want some casual/comfortable sit down dining. Prices are not great, but were reasonable. Think $17-22 per person range. read more

Dinner for 3 on a Sunday evening - we thankfully got a table quickly without a reservation in the bar area, which was a little loud, but didn't bother us much. It was clean and comfortable. Ahead of visiting The Wick, I assumed the menu would have been a little more extensive. 3 total burgers, a few salads, a few different sandwiches, and some dinner entrees - it certainly worked, but I guess I also expected something a little more unique than what can be found at any other restaurant in town. It seems all restaurants in Woodbury seem to serve the same things. Something unique would have been a nice change of pace. We ended up with a Buffalo Chicken wrap (decent), a Wick Burger (son said was "fine"), and a bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer, which my wife said was good. The food met expectations, but certainly nothing memorable that we'd clamoring to go back to. Probably the biggest disappointment of the evening was the service. It was ungodly slow and the waiter was very inexperienced. That alone makes me question if we'll be back. When the bill is north of $120 for 3 people, I guess I expect better service. read more

I enthusiastically recommend The Wick for a lunch/dinner with your family, a wedding reception, a family reunion, corporate events, etc. My family and I enjoyed Easter brunch with an enormous selection of gastric delights from eggs Benedict to shrimp cocktails to prime rib to pastas etc. The staff handled this popular event with top notch service and smiles. Our server was so good, very accommodating and bustled to make sure she attended to all guests. *she is also the current manager and was doing everything to make it great for all diners. We have issues with The Wick calling it a "wedge". It ISN'T a wedge! It was just a bunch of rough chopped iceberg, in too big of chunks to eat, spread out on a plate. If that wasn't disappointing enough, the bacon was paper thin, almost just undercooked and fatty, and not at all crispy or delicious like you would expect on a wedge. A wedge deserves fresh, thick cut, well fried bacon pieces. A wedge means the iceberg comes as a "wedge". The rest of our food was ok, the crispy chicken sandwich was probably the best of what we ordered; it was good. Again, it was our server that would entice us to return, though it is unlikely we will. (3rd time here to try to like this place, but it just doesn't compare to better options for us). PS (The Lavender French 75 isn't good; no taste of "Lavender" in it, and not enough simple syrup to make it tasty). read more

My wife and stopped in for a beer and some wings. Pretty cool atmosphere and we sat at the bar. The bartender did a great job and was knowledgeable. T. Morris Pub & Grill is located at Prestwick Golf Club. It's kind of a hidden location - you drive through a boujee neighborhood and you are all of a sudden at a golf course. I was here for restaurant week. $35 for three courses. The portions were huge! I had leftovers to take home and that usually doesn't happen restaurant week. I was able to try the crab cakes, scotch eggs, fried chicken and bread pudding. I'd recommend each item except for the crab cakes. Yes, there was crab meat in the patties, but there was a lot of mushy filler and the apple coleslaw was a weird accompaniment. The timing of each entree was perfect - we were finished with our course before the next one came out. I'd like to check this place out in the summer when the patio is open. The interior is kind of dark & a little grungy. Not what you'd expect from a golf club. Final high note - all of their dishes are made fresh so if you have a peanut, dairy or gluten allergy, they are really good at adjusting dishes so you can still enjoy items on the menu. read more

Awesome Easter Sunday Brunch! My family and I (14 of us) just enjoyed a wonderful brunch get-together there yesterday. They offered a full brunch buffet with prime rib and ham carving stations, omelet stations, hot breakfast servings of scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, pancakes, cheesey potatoes, etc. There were cold stations for salads, fruit, shrimp, fish dishes, salami, etc. The dessert table featured cheesecakes, muffins, cookies and bread pudding with sauce. I could go on and on. They had a tremendous variety of delicious food!!! And their brunch was very reasonably priced. I'd give them 10 stars! The Wick had multiple rooms for seating large numbers of people. They didn't even ask for a credit card confirmation. A bit noisy, but a very relaxed atmosphere. Generous servings of Mimosas, too. This restaurant sits within a golf course in a pretty residential area. The interior is clean with a nice ambiance, but the outside patio is better with course views. While the menu is huge enough to meet all palates, I've never had anything stellar. Not bad, but solid B+ on everything I've ordered...starters, entrees, desserts. What surprises me is the subpar service for a relatively mid-upscale clientele. I always see staff scrolling their phones or chatting amongst themselves while guests have empty drink glasses or have their coats on but no check. This is not typical of Woodbury, so I hope they work on it. read more

I've been to the Wick a half dozen times over the last year and a half. In general, the food has been pretty consistent. The Chicken Marsala used to be very good, it had the very clear taste of Sweet Marsala wine in the sauce, light, the right tang and color. I went back for it 9/6/2022 and it was not good at all. The chicken was overcooked to the point to the point of being tough, and the Marsala/Mushroom sauce was miserable, not a hint of Marsala wine in it. It had the taste, texture and color of brown gravy out of a McCormick's Gravy sauce packet. It was terrible, it wouldn't even be at home on a meatloaf. This dish is not getting another chance from me at The Wick. The best thing I can say is that everything was hot. read more

Nice restaurant with a patio overlooking a beautiful golf course. We stopped in for brunch here and I was a little hesitant with how empty it was on a Sunday morning. That all went away when I tasted their food. Spoiler alert it was delicious. I was there with my husband and brother. They went with the all you can eat family style brunch. With this they bring out for starters bread pudding followed by plates of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, kielbasa, cheesy hash brown and pancakes. I snagged a few bites of the kielbasa (great) and the bread pudding....OMG the bread pudding was soooo good. I don't like bread pudding but this was something else. They enjoyed the rest as well. As the plates emptied they would just fill them back up. It was around $15 per person, which I think is a good deal for the quality of food and as much as you can eat. There's a bottomless bloody mary or memosa option for around $14. I like this since you can switch between the two and don't have to stick to one. I can't remember if it's two or three drinks to make it worth it.... I went with the Maryland Crab Cake Benedict. It came with two and side of those cheesy hash browns. There was so much food I could only through one and that's not from a lack of trying. It was so good I wanted to eat the whole thing. I'm not an egg person but I make an exception for good eggs benedict and this was a good one. The egg was cooked great and super runny. The crab cake was seasoned well and packed with crab, not too much filler. The hollandaise was well made and tasted great. The hash brown were definitely cheesy. Loved their breakfast and I want to try their lunch/dinner options. read more

Had a great experience here. The food was fantastic, the place itself is very nice. Went there with my two kids (ages 1 and 2) and they were very accommodating - it was surprisingly kid friendly. The kids menu items were pricey at $8 but included adult portions and were genuinely delicious (I steal food from my kids, don't judge!). For restaurant week we adults got to try a whole bunch of items - the ahi tuna I had was amazing (the whole dish was a great mix of colors, flavors, and textures) as was the crab cake and bacon wrapped shrimp. The portions are enormous and we took so much food home. My only complaint was that every course was brought out before we were even close to finishing the one prior, so we were always scrambling to make more room at the table. With the kids, being speedy is usually a good thing, but this felt really rushed. I'll be back! read more

I've lived here for four years and had no idea this little gem existed!! A friend suggested we meet there for a "socially distanced" lunch outside. It was beautiful and perfect! The patio has an amazing view. Service was great. The salad with fresh and yummie (so don't get stuck thinking pub food). Inside has a cozy dark wood feel that I would enjoy if it were raining or I just wanted a quiet corner to chat some day (I'm sure not so quiet if there's a game). We came here on a fluke after another steakhouse didn't workout on a Sat night. The staff were super nice and friendly. The atmosphere is very nice since at a golf course. My fried fish was fair but the breading I did not care for. We asked for bread and literally got 3 tiny pieces of char grilled bread which was not great. I was hoping for a bread basket of nice warm rolls or bread but they didn't have. My husband got the steak dinner and it was delicious! I wish I would have gotten that instead!
