The incompetence of Tony and his team is ridiculous. Both mine and my fiancé's cars have been "serviced" at Lallo's and had to be taken to other mechanics to rectify the additional issues that have popped up thanks to the negligence of the mechanics at Lallo's. I also find it unprofessional that my fiancé's car had been in their shop for over 4 MONTHS, and when we tried to call a few times to get an update after being left in the dark for far too long (Tony does not call with updates like literally any other mechanic is supposed to do), my fiancé was told to not call them anymore and that they would call us instead. They replaced the engine with an engine that had significantly more mileage on it that what we were originally told, and after it being at Lallo's for months, it broke down again already after only having the car back for two weeks. Since I've been taking my Honda Element it has run better than ever! Tony the owner, is hands on and knows what he's doing, and his mechanics are top notch. I usually do my own auto repairs and know when to give the job to a shop with the tools I don't have. I've gotten spoiled though, take my cars to Lallo's Automotive for the minor things as well. I've had them replace the entire suspension, and do routine scheduled maintenance as well. If I ever move out of town I just may bring my cars to Lallo's just for piece of mind. Have had my truck and wife's car serviced here. Wife's car, they do a good job. My truck had to go back to Lallo's twice for more work on the same A/C problem. I finally ended up having to take it to the dealer for 'correct' repair. When they had my truck for a few days, I asked them to keep it inside, they didn't. Drove by at night and saw it sitting out. When I got the truck back, the gas tank was empty! I had filled it just before bringing it in too. Odometer showed almost no miles. Gas was siphoned out of my truck!! Oh, I was mad. I told Tony what happened and all he said was, "sorry". My truck hasn't been back since. And gas was over $4 a gallon then too. So, memo to Tony- My truck is never coming back to you, "sorry". But, wife's car has been there for oil changes a few times since then. They do OK on that. Just don't leave your vehicle there overnight! You may get it back with door dings and your gas stolen. read more

I just had to take my 2006 Dodge van in. The check engine light came on, I called Tony and he said just drop it off that friday. When I checked back later that day, he didn't have good news. He thought it may be a possible engine tear down. There was a compression lost (by half) in one valve. He was busy so by Monday he was able to get to it and check it out. He said plan on not having it back til the end of the week, if they had to send parts out to the machine shop! I was calculating the thousands it was going to cost for anengine that only has 93000, miles on it!! To my surprise Tony called back later and said the van was done I could come pick it up! Iasked what was wrong and he said after taking off the top head to check the valves, he thinks there was some carbon stuck in one valve. They cleaned it out and put it back together, and the compression check was good. The reason I am telling you the long version is so that anyone can see the potential of what they could have charged me, and I would have paid it, I need my vehicle, and I wouldn't have known the difference if the work was, or needed to be done. $90.00 dollars later and a lot less sleep, I have my van back. In this day and age we all know that honesty and intregrity is hard to find in any business...well this shop has it ten fold!!! read more

What a great garage and a great guy! Car began shaking and shivering and stalling out as I was coming down from Arnold, CA. It was late on Sunday night. Got a room in Valley Springs and parked the old caboose. Early next morning drove to Lallo's. He immediately plugged in the computer and said it was cylinder #4 that wasn't firing. He suspected a coil but would have to pull it to see. He warned me that it might be a valve and he would then disable the fuel injection to that cylinder so I could limp home (95 miles away) because a valve would take a week to repair. Within the hour I had the diagnosis and repair of dead coil. Price was very reasonable and I was underway without further trouble. I really appreciated his looking immediately at the problem and quickly resolving it. His office is filled with people dropping off cars and waiting for cars. They all speak so highly of him (I think his name is Tony) and his operation. Over and over I heard of his honesty! My total cost was $159 which I think is very reasonable! God bless Tony. I have taken my vehicles to this shop a few times while I was in town. They appeared to be nice and knowledgeable so I went back. I know better now. Since I live out-of-state I have an excellent mechanic in my home state, and twice now they have found serious issues with my car that Lallo's missed when they were working on it. These were issues that were definitely there when they were servicing it. Apparently they have tunnel vision and will only work on the issue at hand and nothing else. The icing on the cake though is that I recently had a dashboard warning light come on, that is not the engine light, while I was in town. I called their shop to ask how much it is just to get the electronic codes that are recorded and stored when anything malfunctions. I was told, AND I QUOTE, "[The owner/mechanic] says he is not interested." I am so angry I am writing this review right here and now. I have spent a lot of money with them before, and this is how I'm treated now? I will NEVER go back there and will tell others the same. Lallo's is not interested in helping you. read more
