This woman told me multiple times we called "the wrong doctor", that they don't treat "back problems" and got loud while repeating herself! I explained that we wanted to make sure that it was just muscle pain and not a lower respiratory infection or something else (hello, we're in a pandemic). Finally she said, "Oh, ok, let me see. I know everyone who comes here and this is not familiar" and then miraculously managed to locate my husband in their system and said, "we don't have anything today but he can come tomorrow 2:15. Actually we close at 2 but he can come 2:15" and if it's bad "go to urgent care FIRST". Umm, what kind of doctor do you think is at Urgent Care? How about an internal medicine physician like Dr. Kim is! And we're talking about 1 day difference. SMH. When he showed up for his appointment, she yelled at my husband in front of everyone, "What are you doing here! I told your wife go to urgent care!" What kind of receptionist tells a person they have the wrong doctor because they can't work the computer (or spell for that matter)? What kind of receptionist tells a patient to go elsewhere for care? What kind of receptionist tells a patient they don't treat this ailment or that when she's not a doctor? While I understand the majority of the patients are Korean, you should treat EVERYONE respectfully. It would be better if Dr. Kim hired someone who can 1) be RESPECTFUL 2) can COMMUNICATE fluently in English and can articulate themselves well, 3) does not humiliate patients and 4) is actually competent since they're representing him and patients have to deal with the receptionist! My husband called the office again after this appointment letting them know that this woman cost Dr. Kim a patient and to get his files ready for him to pick up (due to his face mask he couldn't say it clearly when he was there). The person with whom my husband spoke with said she'd have to report this to the doctor and the doctor would follow up with him. No follow up happened, so she probably never reported it but it doesn't matter since my husband's not going back there. If you expect to be treated with even a modicum amount of respect when going for CARE, go elsewhere! Everything from start to finish went fine, and I was very happy with the level of service I received from this facility. In the week leading up to my surgery, I received several calls from both Englewood ENT and the Surgery Center to ensure everything was set for my procedure - from paperwork to schedule changes and beyond. I prefer more information than less, so I was happy to receive even a quick phone call or text to update me on even the slightest change. The hardest part about this center is the location - it's really tucked in to a bizarre neighborhood in Fort Lee. However, the location sent me a direct pin to the front door which really helped. (When looking it up on Google Maps, the ETA was slightly different. The listed location on Google Maps is not as accurate at the pin they provide, so use the location that the text message sends out.) I was also grateful for the message about the parking they sent beforehand - the place is undergoing construction and they gave us a head's up about how it may be different to find parking. Obviously, for a surgical procedure, one can expect to be there early to make sure everything runs smoothly. I arrived 90 minutes before my scheduled time (7:30am). The gentleman at the front desk was kind and informative. You basically submit everything before you go, so you only need to sign some paperwork before you go in. The waiting room is also very chill and comfortable, with a TV screen that gives you up-to-date patient information so your guest can know what's going on. Upon entering pre-opt, every person was lovely, kind, and informative. Shout out to Elmer who took my pre-opt notes while I was getting ready! I am a talker (especially when I'm nervous) and the nurses were very happy to engage in conversation with me. While I was finished and waiting to wake up from anesthesia, the Center and doctor called my dad to let them know how I was doing. Upon waking, AJ took care of me - she's awesome! I was out and ready by 11am. I really could not have asked for a better experience!

I discovered I needed to allow lots of time for traffic, especially in the morning. They called me pre-op to get all the necessary information and answered all my questions about my transportation. I was having local anesthesia, so I was able to drive myself home. When I arrived I was greeted and made comfortable in the waiting room. It is very clean! Pre op nurse Elmer did everything correct. Thank you to Josephine, RN who visited me in pre-op. It truly helps when you are a little nervous to have kind and considerate people speaking to you! They informed me of exactly what would happen. Or Nurses Cristina and Karen and Dr. Ekstein spoke with me pre op and during procedure so I knew exactly what was going on. Everything went according to plan. My recovery room nurse Lorraine gave me written and verbal instruction, offered nourishment and assistance, answered all my questions and saw me safely out of the building. I was very impressed with the center, the staff, the kindness and professionalism. I am a nurse and it's pretty hard to please us! A+ in every way.

Although I was complaining about my stomach they never bothered to do appropriate testing and gave me the boot with a dangerous, near infusion level platelet count (20k range) and slapped an idiopathic diagnosis on It.
