Ok story time..its our 12 year anniversary and we had a really bad weekend. We couldnt get a hotel or anything cause everything was packed or over priced in Niagara and on the way back at 12:01 we got a flat tire on the 31st of August. So we had to call CAA and pay over 200 dollars for the service. So we said its whatever let's go to cheesecake factory to just celebrate our anniversary, and since we think we deserved it we went to the one at yorkdale. We went met a manager named ALEX a blessing in disguise, we ordered our food and cake he told us, "its on us" this guy is a saint and a good person for doing this i appreciate what he did and love that he did that. He didnt have to but he did and I praise him for it he gets more then 5 stars for the person and the customer service he has. I've always wanted to come here and finally had a chance to enjoy the environment and atmosphere. First off, we came in a Friday night and it was extremely busy. The wait time before we were seated was 45 minutes. But Boy was it worth it. The menu was full of abundant choices. We ordered 1. Slider burger appetizers 2. Egg rolls sampler appetizer 3. Louisiana chicken pasta 4. Chicken and shrimp gumbo 5. Shrimp tacos The food came in ridiculous large portions Wowza And everything tasted extremely flavourful We all were thoroughly full from all the food The only suggestion I have is to avoid the shrimp tacos. They came kinda soggy. But everything else was wonderful. Cheesecake factory is an jack of all trade food place. You can have steaks, pizza, pasta, burger, fish, jambalaya, tacos and way more. The menu is about 20 pages (if not more) long. Multiple gluten free option available, vegeterian and allergy friendly option to choose from. As the name suggest, cheesecake is their signature and they have a lot! For me, I'm a tower truffle chocolate cake person (I'm not fan of cheesecake). They have some bread that you can eat while waiting. One of the bread if black/brown. I don't know the name, it's a different type of bread that really taste different. I'm not a big fan but my girlfriend love it. The other one is regular baguette style bread. They are normally served fresh hot with 2 dap of butter. For us, only the brown one was fresh and hot. The other one was cold and stale, even hard to chew. The butter was also ice cold, hard to cut. Not what we normally get from a cheesecake factory experience. The place is very loud. Both the very high volume music and all the customer talking even louder because of that music make it for a very loud place. Worker must have headache at the end of the day. The waiter was very nice and friendly. They are very busy, enough to have other staff pick up the orders or help, and I saw this with nearly all waiter. I think they need more staff, although I did see a lot. I took the smokehouse bbq burger. My girlfriend took the four cheese pasta. The burger was good. It come open with the bbq sauce and ketchup on the side. The pasta was good too. We took cake to go because we were full. I've been to many Cheesecake Factory locations throughout the United States over the years, and I would genuinely consider myself a Cheesecake Factory aficionado. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the Yorkdale location was by far the most disappointing experience I've had with the brand. I ordered the Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp, and for a dish that cost approximately $43 CAD, the portion of chicken and shrimp I received was shockingly small. The takeout container itself looked noticeably empty and nowhere near filled with food. It felt like I was served mostly rice and vegetables, with only a minimal amount of the actual chicken and shrimp that the dish is named after. I've ordered this exact entrée numerous times at other Cheesecake Factory locations, so I know what a normal serving looks like. This wasn't a slight difference--it was dramatically below the standard. To make matters worse, the customer service did nothing to improve the experience. I understand it was an extremely hot day (around 97°F/36°C), and working in those conditions can't be easy. However, basic hospitality shouldn't disappear because of the weather. The staff I interacted with avoided eye contact, spoke in a robotic, indifferent manner, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. This location also seems to have ongoing operational issues. On a previous visit, I was quoted a 90-minute wait, which is an extraordinarily long time even by Cheesecake Factory standards. Combined with this most recent experience, it gives the impression that this location is struggling with both service and quality control. The Cheesecake Factory has built its reputation on generous portions and a welcoming dining experience. This visit delivered neither. Paying premium prices while receiving what felt like a fraction of a normal portion, combined with cold and unfriendly service, left me feeling completely let down. I hope management takes this seriously because this experience fell well below the standards I've come to associate with The Cheesecake Factory. This was my first ever visit to Cheesecake Factory after hearing people rave about this place so much. I have to say I was very underwhelmed by both the food and the service. We had to wait 1.5 hours for a table - we decided to explore the Yorkdale mall to kill some time and when we finally got to sit, we were told they ran out of the fried mac and cheese balls which was one of their most popular item and something we really wanted to try. Anyway, our server said she didn't see any bread and will bring us some if she sees it. Kinda weird... We ordered our food and the wait time was quite long. The calamaris were really bad. No taste whatsoever, just deep fried and served. The Asian chicken nachos were okay but it barely had any chicken in it. For mains the chicken madeira was the only highlight of our meal. The chicken was tender and flavourful and the mashed potatoes were really well done (can't go wrong with that, eh?) but the spicy chipotle pasta didn't have enough sauce and it needed a good mix tbh. Cheesecake Factory is honestly one of my favourite spots of all time. There's just something about the environment and the vibes that makes it so fun. It's chill but still has that cute, slightly chic feel. The interior is beautiful in my opinion, and the dim lighting gives it such a cozy, homey vibe. I love coming here with friends and family. Now, service is definitely slow. There's almost always a long waitlist, usually anywhere from an hour to two hours because it's constantly packed. They don't take reservations either, so you can't book ahead. The one upside is that it's inside Yorkdale, so you can shop while you wait, which honestly makes the time go by faster. Once you're seated, the servers have always been kind and helpful, it's just that things move a bit slow because of how many tables each person is handling. Even on weekdays it's busy, so just keep that in mind. The menu is huge!! literally every dish imaginable and for the most part they do a great job with the flavours. My all-time favourite are the mac and cheese balls. So delicious. 10/10 every single time. This visit we also got the egg roll sampler, which comes with four different rolls: avocado, tex mex, cheeseburger spring rolls, and chicken taquitos. They were all good, and it was my first time trying this. The avocado one was my favourite and it comes with such a yummy sauce. I'd give that sampler an 8/10 just because not every single roll was my absolute favourite, but it was still good. We also got the Buffalo Blast, which I always order. The breading is so good and crispy with buffalo chicken inside, such a cool concept and always a hit for me. 9/10. There were only two of us and these appetizers were more than enough for a full meal. We didn't even finish everything and ended up taking a lot home. Delicious food overall. Loved the crispy chicken for the Louisiana pasta, i felt the portion used to be bigger and tastier. My mom ordered the shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta which was do flavorful and delicious. For appetizers we ordered Calamari and fried Mac & cheese balls both were so delicious. For what it is. It's fantastic. Cheesecake Factory seems to do chicken right. There are several fantastic chicken dishes so this time I decided to combine two of them. I ordered the chicken bellagio which is usually Crispy Coated Chicken Breast over Basil Pasta and Parmesan Cream Sauce Topped with Prosciutto and Arugula. However I substituted the Romano-crusted chicken breast from Crusted chicken Romano to make an ultra cheesy chicken dish that was frankly fantastic. Also had the cheeseburger spring rolls which were cheesy beefy good What's even better is they give you two rolls of bread with butter to start. Stopped by after doing some shopping since I wanted dessert after dinner and I was impressed by the spaghetti meatballs! A little pricey but they were generous with the amount of protein, and being 5"2 Asian girl, I had leftovers lol. It's definitely a fun time and great for groups but as noted by other diners, the wait is a really pain. Unless you go at an off-peak time, be prepared from anywhere between 45 m to 1hr wait. Although you might be full from the entrees you have to have a slice of cake at the end if you like sweet desserts. They also have a tone of variety too. I recently visited The Cheesecake Factory just for dessert, and overall it was a mixed experience. When we entered through the mall entrance, no one greeted us at the door. We had to find the front desk ourselves, and once we got there, it was confusing. There was one line with people trying to make reservations and another group waiting to be seated, but there was no clear direction on where to stand. It also turns out they don't take reservations unless you have a rewards account, which was a bit inconvenient. The restaurant itself was completely packed and very loud. The music combined with how large and full the space was made it hard to hear my friends talking. It's honestly one of the biggest restaurants I've ever been to with tons of seating, but I feel like they could really benefit from some kind of wall dividers or sound-absorbing panels because the noise level was overwhelming. On the positive side, our waiter was really sweet and attentive. Even though we only went for cheesecake, they still brought complimentary bread and butter and gave us free ice water refills, which was a nice touch. The cheesecake slices were huge. One slice was so filling that we had to take leftovers home and it tasted pretty good. However, the price was shocking. My single slice came out to $18, which feels pretty expensive for just dessert. The menu overall has tons of options, but everything is pretty pricey. That said, the vibe of the restaurant is actually really nice with very 2000s Tuscan-inspired decor. Both the brown bread and white bread were very fresh, there was even steam coming out from the bread once you opened it. I wasn't a huge fan of the brown bread, it seemed like it was just pumpernickel bread with a honey and oat exterior which made it pretty sweet. one thing to note is that if you leave the bread out for a little while, it does get pretty hard and not enjoyable. I think it would have been really good to have room temperature butter with this bread but unfortunately all they had was cold butter. Still I'm glad I tried it. Since it was our first time, we decided to go all out and order a few dishes to share. We decided to get the Korean fried cauliflower and the mac and cheese ball appetizers. Then for our mains, we got the Lunch Size of the Louisiana Chicken Pasta salad and the Chinese Chicken Salad. The Korean fried cauliflower was delicious and the fried mac and cheese balls were pretty good. I also really enjoyed the Louisiana Chicken Pasta. The flavour was really good and the chicken was very crispy. The Chinese chicken salad was pretty good, it was really nice to have something fresh alongside all of the heavier items on our table, but I'm not sure that I would get that one again. Fettuccini Alfredo - lunch size $21.95 Italian Sausage and Fresh Mushroom Rigatoni - lunch size $21.95 Tiramisu Cheesecake - $15.50 The overall food quality was good enough and the lunch portion was an adequate size. The Italian sausage was flavourful but the fettuccini Alfredo was nothing special. They were both very saucy and dense which made for a sleepy afternoon. Be careful if you're lactose intolerant, the sauces we had were VERY creamy. The service was friendly enough but they rarely checked in on us. I love the small pieces of fried chicken, blue cheese, bacon & the hard boiled egg that is halved with mayo inside. It's my new fave as an alternative to a Cobb salad. The server offered bread to start. The bread is always great. The butter could be a bit more soft to be easily spreadable, but good nonetheless! The vibe is casual & busy! They start you off with their bread, of course the brown bread is elite and so much more delicious than the other one. The interior is very yellow looking/ ambiance is dim. Here's what we got for food: Cheeseburger spring rolls 4/5 - These are surprisingly so good. Crispy on the outside and juicy, cheesy and gooey on the inside. Tastes exactly like a cheeseburger. Chicken madeira 3/5 This is huge! Comes with two pieces of chicken breast, baked with cheese and mushrooms. Comes served with a pile of mashed potatoes. This was okay in terms of taste, but was comforting to eat. Chicken alfredo pasta 3/5 Can probably skip on this dish next time. It was a little bland and wasn't the best thing we ordered. Gets heavy very fast when you're eating it. We didn't end with a slice of cheesecake, since it's so heavy and we're not huge cheesecake fans, so ended the meal after our mains. Not the super casual looking location you see in Big Bang Theory - this one looks pretty fancy, as befits its location in Yorkdale mall. You can access it either directly from the parking lot outside, or the entrance inside the mall. If you access it from inside the mall, you'll have to make your way over to the reception counter that is just inside the entrance from the parking lot. My sister treated me to a birthday lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. We figured that the lower level of traffic and busy-ness were due to the fact that it was a January Sunday just after Christmas, and we were grateful. We only had to wait about 10 minutes. We didn't get the full, comfy booth for 2 I would have wished for, and we were a little crammed against the barrier at the end of the row where we were seated. The table was a little too small to handle our drinks, appetizer, and then condiments and food, but we were able to eat. For the appetizer, we had the Thai lettuce chicken wraps. The chicken was beautifully cooked and tasty. Some of the toppings were awkwardly sized and took some skill being able to handle putting it together, but everything was super fresh. For our mains, my sister had the "low cal men" chicken sandwich and salad option, and I went for the chicken and waffles. (In hindsight, I think I wish we had at least one dish that wasn't chicken, but I'll keep that in mind for a next time.) As to be expected, my sister's sandwich was pretty small, but again, the grilled meat was not at all dry. For my fried chicken pieces, this also easily fit the pattern of a juicy cook. The waffles were really nice and crunchy, while the interior was light and fluffy. They serve the maple syrup already mixed with melted butter, which I find kind of dilutes the maple taste too much while just adding fat, but I wasn't mad at it. I couldn't finish it and took half of it to take home to enjoy later, because we wanted our actual cheesecake dessert. I tried their Adam's peanut butter ripple flavour, because I'd never heard of it, and really wanted to taste what makes it any better than Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. I did want the peanut butter cup to be the star, so I think I made the right choice in avoiding the extra chocolate cake in the Reese's. I love Butterfinger as well so that was a nice difference. My sister went with a lemon flavour and really loved it. The slices almost live up to their $15+/slice tags and the whipped cream was fresh. The coffee, not so much, just your typical hotel-like brew you find anywhere else. There was a marked difference in service between the gentleman initially assigned to us, and his backup while he went on lunch. The girl who "covered" for him really didn't pay us much attention, and I was glad when he returned before we left. I'm really glad my sister brought me here to finally experience this hyped-up chain, and for the most part, it was quite enjoyable. My overall experience at the Cheesecake Factory is only ok. I've been here a few times (at the request or someone I know who used to like one of their pasta dishes) and have not been impressed. The Cheesecakes are good and come in large slices but most of the food here isn't impressive enough for me to want to deal with the wait and in efficient service. They don't take reservations so you're either eating at odd times if you go outside their peak periods, or you find yourself waiting 1 to 2 hr to get a table if you go around the common meal times. Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorite places for brunch, lunch and dinner. I always get lost in their extensive multiple page long menu. LOL It has a casual vibe with friendly staff. You need to make a reservation, specially for weekends, or the lineup would be 1-2 hours. They offer you fresh white and rye bread with butter. Their menu includes pasta, burgers and sandwiches, flatbread and pizza, salad, appetizers, steaks and desserts. They also have a skinny menu if you get lost in their menu. LOL They also have a lunch size of most of their menu items. I am a big fan of Factory Nachos and Santa Fe Salad. They're good options for sharing. Only Cheesecake Factory up north (for now!). Had the typical experience of getting the buzzer and waiting maybe 30-45 minutes before it buzzed. Was expected so no real issue with this. Was seated and looked at their absolutely huge menu. It's overwhelming at first but I eventually decided on the Chicken Riesling, which was a creamy mushroom chicken pasta. I thought it was really good! Great amount of chicken and tasty. Service was good, as you'd expect, they have maybe 1000 staff in there it seems haha. Decent and definitely something you have to experience, especially with the vibe in there being kinda dark and intimate but also remaining very family friendly in the mall. read more

My first time at Cheesecake Factory and honestly shocked at how long it took me to finally try this place out. We came on a Thursday night and it was still very busy. Luckily we only waited for 15 minutes. My partner and I enjoyed everything that we ordered. Buffalo Blasts - 6/10 Chicken Parmesan "Pizza Style" - 10/10 Chicken Madeira - 8/10 Cinnabon Cheesecake - 7/10 Our servers were great. Very attentive and fast with their service. One of them went on break and they were so communicative to all their tables about the server change. We celebrated a birthday and they decorated the plate with a greeting. A nice little touch. Last evening I had supper with my pals and former colleagues, Helene and Baljeet, at the Cheesecake Factory. It's the first time I've been to a Cheesecake Factory and my only reference to it has been The Big Bang Theory. I had Tomato Basil Pasta (grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, a touch of garlic and penne pasta). It was really good! Baljeet had Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas (corn tortillas filled with chicken, cheese, chile and onion, covered with salsa verde and sour cream, served with rice and beans). Helene had Korean Fried Chicken (crispy chicken tossed with our spicy Korean B.B.Q. sauce with avocado, kimchi, mushrooms, cilantro, sesame seeds, served over steamed rice). All the meals were really large portions so we ended up taking home leftovers. Josh was our server. He was so friendly and helpful and took excellent care of us (thanks, Josh!). read more
