I've never worked with more compassionate and professional people, from start to finish including the staff who came to pick up my father all the way through the last service and other follow-up tasks after that. Lisa and her team were extremely patient, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. They were able to recommend a celebrant who was versatile, multitalented, and very professional as well. I was very pleased with their help in personalizing the service so that everyone would know my father's personality and the things he loved. My son died suddenly on his 44th birthday. And yo say this was a shock to me and my family is to put it mildly. We had called another funeral home to pick my son up and waited till we felt we had waited long enough. We found Lambert funeral home and talked to Roy and he was beyond kind and wonderful. He had his people out to pick my son up in such a short time. His people were so respectful and kind as well. They took great care in taking his body and were kind and respectful as well. Roy took care of everything for us and guided us through the process with ease. It felt like a good friend was taking care of my son and all of us as well. I've been a couple times for a 27 year old and a 94 year old. The service for the 27 year old went well. The funeral home had a good set up to place flowers and pictures. It also has a projection screen (for photos/music) and it has plenty of seating. Drinking fountains and restrooms. The had a separate viewing room for the 94 year old before the actual service and they also have a podium for the pastor, friends, and family to say a few words. My son passeed away on Saturday, and one of the hardest things to do when someone you love passes is to search for a inexpensive place to have a funeral and such.. I probably called over ten funeral homes and all were over $500 just to have my 1lb baby creamated. Lambert Funeral home was by far the cheapest under $300.. when my husband and I first walked in we were in tears and by the time we left we were hugging Sharon (staff member). Recently I had to endure one of THE MOST painful moments in my life...I laid my two week old infant to rest. The moment she, Sharon (owner), answered my telephone call - she was very patient and understanding to my wants and needs. Though a business, there was no such haggling nor up-selling. Sharon was very detailed and made certain to to be very thorough and yet she made it a point to check with us to see if WE understood or had any questions/concerns. In fact, Sharon made certain to accommodate me until I was surely ready to lay my son at rest. When my mother passed away, Lambert Funeral Home was there to fully assist my family in our time of need. All the staff there are very kind and professional. They also went above and beyond in customer service when a member of my family acted out of turn in his own bereavement. The Funeral Arranger, Brian Tatro, was nothing less than perfect in his work ethic, professionalism and compassion in assisting my sisters and I with the details in the handling of our mother's funeral arrangements. Brian even arranged for my mother's ashes to be available a day early so I would not have to reschedule my flight for the next day! I was able to compile photos of my mother and sent them to Brian. By the next day he was able to get them processed into a memorial DVD to be played at the planned memorial service. The DVD photo montage was very professional and tastefully produced. The memorial service for my mother, hosted at Lambert Funeral Home was excellent and serene and they were able to allow for some lateness on our part to make certain all the grandchildren could attend. I have nothing but high praise for Brian Tatro and all the staff at Lambert Funeral Home. Thank you for everything. read more

Well, despite the somber circumstances, the funeral that I attended here was well organized, the setting was pleasant, and the employees were helpful and understanding of the fact that most of the attendees were sobbing uncontrollably (funeral for a child). There was a box of tissues in each row, and a T.V. that was set up to show a video montage of the child's life. read more

It is odd to write a review on a funeral home, but I felt compelled to, as I was trying to use Yelp as a resource during this confusing and difficult time, so felt I should pay it forward. Brian Tatro was my family's point of contact at Lambert, and our experience could not have been better. Saying goodbye to a loved on is so painful, but the logistics and details were made seamless. He kept me and my siblings in the loop constantly (emails and phone calls), and accommodated every special request we had. I also really appreciated that there was no "up-selling" attempts. We removed many things from the pre-packaged suggestions, and they didn't push for any add-ons (we chose to print the programs ourself, not use their online memorial service, etc.). I cannot say enough as to how lovely Brian was to work with. read more

When our daughter passed it was the last place I wanted to go but Sharon showed us so much empathy and understanding. She let us talk about our baby and spent time with us. She kept me in the loop each way when the dr had a hard time signing the death certificate and delayed our cremation 3 weeks; Sharon was constantly on the phone explaining to the dr how to sign it and offered training to her and the other doctors and when the dr still couldn't do it, Sharon managed to get another dr to sign the certificate for us so we could have closure before we left the country which meant coming in on her day off. I've used Lambert Funeral Home in the past, but never for my own child which was and still is very tough. However, I am extremely grateful for their care of my son given by the staff and extremely thankful to have worked with Joshua Vinegar, my heart is still smiling! From the moment I walked in, his presence and voice is so calming and soothing. He was very patient, thoughtful and kind with me as i couldn't control myself . He made me feel so special during a tough time. He guided me on what I needed and what I didn't need. Each time I called, I was helped by their caring staff no matter when. It has now been two months since losing my son and from time to time whenever I am in the Roseville area, Joshua and I share a deli sandwich, and have even gone out for happy hour. I am extremely grateful to have met him. I receive thoughtful calls from Joshua, he even wished me a Happy Mother's Day. The service was beautiful, my son had near 100 guest in attendance and the food that was catered was delicious. Each and every demand that was given, Joshua took care of. Although I wish I had not had to use their services, I am grateful for the professionalism and awesomeness and great care I received. I can't think of one complaint. Poor follow up service. They were great at selling me on services. Then called yesterday to tell me the death certificates were in. I said I would drop by today on the way to the Estate Attorney nobody answered the door. It was at 12:30. I called and spoke with an answering service 2 x. Got the run around. Waited 50 minutes in front of the door during posted biz hours. Needless to say I was late to my appt and left empty handed. Long drive for nothing and I will have to take more time off work to come back. They should have told me that I would need an appt to pick up the death certs on the phone yesterday. First of all I would like to say that I picked this funeral home based off the yelp reviews.......I was extremely disappointed! My Mother was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer was moved from Reno here to Roseville and was put on Hospice....realized she was near the end so I called ahead to make an appointment to set up things as I have never experienced anyone close to me passing away so wasn't sure what state I would be in when the time came....called made an appointment was called back to reschedule appointment as they over booked which was fine....turned out mom passed before the appointment. I called the home to have her picked up waited over four hours for them to get her (which could be common I don't know) signed some paperwork and they took her away....moms plans were to be cremated. Went in to make the plans on a Monday with my husband we were there for over three hours to discuss her birthdate, birth place, parents, social and to pick an urn.....NO funeral arraignments were made as we were doing a celebration of life at a later date. The gentleman that helped us was very nice but maybe could have been new made things a bit awkward. Once we left found that the name was misspelled had to come back and sign the contract, received another call had to go back a third time since i missed an initial. Finally contract was fine full payment made waited for a very long time received the call they had Mom back and she was ready to come home but had to make an appointment to pick her up....picked her up was pleasant staff was very kind in helping me to the car and deciding whether or not to strap her in the car seat. Had to wait another couple of weeks for the necklaces I ordered to come in.....weeks passed never heard anything until one day someone called to solicit me planning my own funeral (which I agree should be done in advance) but so close after losing my Mother wasn't the best time to call for that....I then asked for my necklaces the man quickly says he would have to call me back, when he finally calls back he says to me oh they came in yesterday but they haven't had a chance to call you...I said I would like to come and get them he said you would have to make an appointment for that left a message for my worker never got a call back....called again to find out the person I spoke with said they have lost the necklaces.....sort of at the point where it didn't surprise me he called back again and said they found them but there is as a mistake on the order he said I only ordered two but I got three! I explained to the man I ordered three and paid for three! Went in to pick up the necklaces and they were beautiful! Happy with the urn and happy with the necklaces.... read more

Comes a time when services of a place like Lambert are necessary. They handled my mom's services six years ago and now handling my dad's. They have been as caring and comforting as possible. All of the details handled smoothly. They listen to what we wantd and acted accordingly with no pressure at all to spend more than was necessary. Can't say enough nice stuff. read more
