There really was no pressure in purchasing from them and they even said to look around different shops to find a good price on what I was looking for. Recently did an ammo transfer through the pawn shop. Everything went smoothly and staff was very friendly. Only issue I had with this pawn shop is not one staff member was wearing a mask. There were about 4-5 staff members roaming around with no mask. That's definitely an issue and I would recommend avoiding coming here. This pawn shop only issues Firearm Safety Certificates if you buy a gun from them. So in other words they value profits over gun safety. In response to the owners comment below - Actually, I fully understand your policy which is "FSC issued only with the purchase of a gun". That's fine, it's your store so you can create whatever policies you want. However, that policy creates the impression that you're taking advantage of the high demand for Firearm Safety Certificates by requiring the purchase of a gun from your store. If you're worried about too many people in your store then why not create an appointment only application process for the FSC? Again, it's your business so run it how you see fit but you still deserve 1 star for the terrible policy. By the way I'm buying a gun via PPT and unfortunately the seller is unable to issue me an FSC. Thanks though! read more

I went by this place today to get an offer on selling some old gold jewelry we had sitting around in drawers and boxes and hadn't worn in years. I did not have an appointment - just walked in. The guys (Matt and Jesse) were young, upbeat, and friendly, and quite transparent in how they tested and valued the gold. They were very communicative and open throughout the process. To be honest, I had the names and addresses of a couple different shops with me, and hadn't expected to make this my last stop, but the money they offered seemed very fair to me so I went ahead and closed the deal with them. I don't think I would have done much better any place else. The little strip mall they're in (on Lambert just west of Gunn, on the south side of the street) is quite run down and a bit spooky looking, but don't let that put you off. The shop itself is clean and well organized inside. I was in and out in about 20 minutes or so, with a healthy wad of cash in my pocket and a smile on my face.
