We stopped here because I was craving some coffee during out walk through Lambertville. I was originally drawn to the shop because of how cute it looked inside. I wanted to take a second to sit down and enjoy the cozy vibes inside the shop. It was quiet and felt like an old fashioned general store. I didn't know what to order but got excited when I saw a sign for an affogato. The lady at the front counter highly recommended it so I was very excited. The affogato itself was just okay. The coffee was very strong and bitter. The ice cream is from a small shop next door, which excited me. The ice cream was a little icy, however, and I would have preferred something smooth and soft that melted into the coffee. I was in the mood for a sweet treat but the bitterness of the coffee made me just pick at the ice cream and ignore the coffee around it. read more

Great ambiance! It was very colorful and the entire place was very inviting. The sign boards were attractive and had a rustic feel. There were a couple of people in there already. The barista was kind enough to let me use the restroom even before she knew I was ordering. On my way to Lambertville I got to try a raspberry flavored ice cream so my guy asked me to decide the iced Raspberry Cocoa. It was the best decision. It had a hint of cinnamon and tasted so good. Had the iced mochoccino. It was very tasty. They have a great recipe for this. The shop is quaint and you can sit outside on a bench to enjoy the atmosphere. Service could use an upgrade. The woman who attended to my order was marginally friendly. Maybe it was an off day but my experience in coffee shops are always great and the employees in coffee houses are generally sociable, warm and welcoming. I was mildly disappointed I couldn't order a pour over of them, but it didn't take away from my visit. I also quickly came to learn why... their coffee on drip was stellar! My iced mochaccino was delicious when we visited here but the rest of our experience left a lot to be desired. First, the woman behind the counter was very cold and unapproachable. She treated our presence like an inconvenience even though we were the only people there. After quite a few eye rolls, we got a hot latte and an iced mocha chino. The flavor of both was really good, especially the mochaccino. But they didn't have any cups for cold drinks so I had an iced drink in a paper cup which quickly turned the cup into mush, making it nearly impossible to hold. Overall fine coffee, not a great customer service experience. Maybe we will try again some time. read more

Glad we stumbled upon this after sampling some wines down the street at Tomasello. Something was needed to perk us up and proceed with spending a beautiful Saturday in these charming towns of Lambertville and New Hope (you didn't ask, but I prefer the former of the two). LTC definitely hit the spot! They have a solid choice of coffee and teas as well as some sweet treats. Save a $1 off a cookie by checking in on Yelp! Espresso was nice and strong. My girlfriend found her iced espresso a bit too bitter, and she's used to Starbucks. However I moved my hot double. We snagged the 2 bar stools looking out the window onto the quaint street. However benches abound if it's too crowded inside. While we had no problems, the restroom is tiny and will be impenetrable for those of large carriage. I'd return next time and try that cookie. read more

There are coffee cups and items surrounding this small interesting shop right in town. The regular coffee was self-serve and good. The Mochaccino was excellent. It had cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla in it. Music was played at a good level. When I checked in on yelp a coupon popped up for $1 off cookie or biscotti. Considering they're only $2, that's a bargain. The chocolate chip cookie was fat and worth $2. A good stop on with some seats. read more

I came upon this establishment and the older lady who acted as a manager/owner(?) had the most horrible customer service and demeanor. Her vibe was "you are not welcomed here"! She was short to answer simple questions. She was rude when speaking to us. I thought I was the only one noticing but when I sat down with my family, they all commented on her rudeness. We had a French press and an iced coffee, both were great, what really impressed us was the coffee ice cubes in the iced coffee, which apparently many other yelpers have also mentioned! Lambertville Trading Company on Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ, is right next door to Sneddon's Luncheonette, so it is possible to have breakfast at the former, and a decent java jolt at the latter, and feel good about your exploration of this beautiful river city. The shop itself is quite small. There are a few seats in the window alcoves, and a couple of stools in the rear, but otherwise, this place is mostly takeout. It is all wood and glass displays from floor to ceiling, and it is somewhat captivating in its downright cuteness. It was brewing coffee before there was a Starbucks, and certainly deserves your affection and appreciation for that. They also do a small bakery product retail to go with the joe. Word is that they use Small World Coffee Roasters out of Princeton, but I could not vouch for that as there were plenty of other bags of beans behind the counter with other labels on them. My own decaf latte was a bit harsher than expected and slowly degraded to a bitter aftertaste by the time I reached the office. The chocolate chip cookie I scored for accompaniment was nearly as large as my hand and was nicely crisp. The $1 Yelp discount upon checking in made it a pretty sweet deal. LTC is still the best place in L'ville to buy your coffee for your walkabout. It continues to fit right in with all the other antique shops in town. read more

Just got done eating dinner at the Inn of the Hawk so now its time for yelp to guide me to a dessert spot. After a brief search the pictures and reviews the choice was Lambertville Trading Post so off I go. The exterior is a quaint decorated store front with an old fashion sign and bench seats. I entered and greeted by wooden floors, shelves and a large community table with stools. It simply brought me back in time. After a brief lesson in thier coffees I order a chai. The desserts were on display in the front cabinet. Not a big selection however it was Sunday evening but still there are a good amount of people walking around. I had a piece of the chocolate peanut butter cake with cookie crust. The peanut butter was delicious, however the cookie crust was very hard to cut in pieces. All in all it was a nice experience and the coffee was very good. The reason for 3 stars is limited dessert options and the very hard cookie crust. read more

I was there Monday for coffee and it's "self serve" in garbage Togo cups. This place is going for a "hipster" attitude, they do not accept credit cards and serve foreign chocolates, candies, and everything a dentist dreams of- fine. There is an ATM conveniently located down the $treet. Too bad I didn't pass a dunken donuts or an auto garage because they will serve better coffee. Do not act like your customers are foolish because they do not carry cash. Yes, I overheard you, "an owner", say you can't understand how people do not carry cash. I do not understand how you do not accept credit cards. I don't care that you always have a "twenty" tucked somewhere, like I overheard you say. We come from big cities where we use technology and pay with credit cards, Apple Pay and various other "hip" means. Hey lady, you're in the service industry and should listen up! Very cute coffee and specialty candy and gift shop in Lambertville. My husband and I stopped in for a cup of something warm on a cold night. I noticed the delicious-sounding hot chocolate sign which mentioned several spices. It sounded wonderful but I opted for a mocha latte since I was looking for some caffeine. Our drinks were prepared and we sat at the stools by the window. My drink was absolutely delicious, but it definitely was not a mocha latte. I'm fairly certain I actually got a cup of the hot chocolate afterall, based on the description I read and the flavors I tasted. It was great, just not what I ordered.
