Came in today to get a mani pedi procedure. Overall I liked how my nails turned out (5 stars) but would give this place 3 stars because of some other concerns: -Pricing change unexpected: Even though the menu combo price says $47, they are increasing the prices and didn't update the menu so it's actually gonna be $52. -Service not the most professional. I requested a 1pm appointment and was told to come in at noon instead. I came in at noon and they had me waiting 40 minutes! I felt like that was pretty unprofessional. The staff is very nice but it set my whole day back and I was running late for other errands and appointments. -No UV light/dryer for the nails. You just have to sit there and wait a good 20minutes before leaving. I tried to leave 10min in because they said 10min but nicked my nail getting my car keys. So would advise waiting at least 20! For this price point and the professionalism concerns, I am not sure I would come back. The gel nails is a $20 up charge and most other places it's like $5-10 more. read more

completely unsatisfied with my girlfriends experience. her appointment with Julie was unprofessional, she took another customer in middle of my girlfriends appointment and my girlfriend had to say something to get the lady we made an appointment with to finish her appointment which is completely unacceptable. she was arguing with my girlfriend and pressured her into something that she didn't even want. and 140? like for real? she was told twice she could get a simple design done but then was told she couldn't get the design she wanted and was pressured into something she doesn't even really like. my girlfriend came home in tears because of how horrible the experience was. will never come back here agaib read more

I was visiting Maumee and wanted to take my granddaughter out to get our nails done. We tried to do a walk-in but they were booked up so we made an appt for the next day. We were told in advance about the cash-only policy so that wasn't a problem. My granddaughter got a gel manicure and I got a pedicure. I was impressed by the attention to detail and that it wasn't rushed. Massage time was generous. We both were pleased with the results.The place was clean and the decor was nice. First and last time visitor. Waited for over an hour (should have been my first hint), clearly wrote on the sign in sheet "toes gel color change". They tried to give me a manicure, then I said I just wanted a color change and pointed to my toes. They put me in a chair and had me soak. I thought ok.....proceeded to try and take off polish. I said it's gel. Walked me over to gel area...I think they were cussing me out, lol. I wanted gray nail polish. Tech decided she didn't like the color and suggested another. At this point i was like, F it, do whatever. She was filing so hard she actually burned the side of my toe!!!!! (It bled) needless to say I will never go there again read more

This establishment has apparently become a "cash only" business as their credit card machine has been broken for weeks. For a mani/pedi that's quite a bit of cash to carry! Also, you cannot make appointments by phone as nobody answers! I understand it's a staffing issue but dislike having to drive over to make an appointment. Even if you have an appointment, it's not a given that there will be anyone available. I'm looking for a new salon. read more

I went for manicure and gel polish, one person removed the regular polish then second person came to make cuticles then this person left and helped someone else who came after me then again someone else . Terrible service. I came in at 2pm and asked for a 5/6pm appointment for two pedis for my friend and I. She insisted they were busy then and it had to be 3:30. 4pm not ok either. 3:30 only. I said ok and came back at 3:30. Then waited an hour and a half while they were busy with other customers. It was almost 5pm before my friend and I were seated and began having our pedis. I asked for a complimentary upgrade for compensation for this ridiculous experience. She proceeded to go on a tirade. I was flabbergasted at their customer service. She pointed out two other customers who waited quite awhile as if that made it better?? On the contrary I am shocked they EVER have repeat customers. read more

I am so picky about nail salons and so far Toledo has been a disappointment for nail salons but I went here for a pedicure and it was perfect :) I had Hai and he was wonderful, sooooo nice and my toes looked divine!! I was in Toledo for a wedding and needed a mani/pedi before the festivities. I did some searching online and found L'Amour & it was about 5 minutes away. After calling to make sure there was availability, I was on my way! I had a great experience overall. The service was great, the staff friendly and the manicure and pedicure were excellent. The salon isn't over the top decked out or anything, but it's clean and simple which matters to me. When I'm in the area again, I'll be sure to go here! read more

I just moved to the Toledo area and have been VERY nervous about finding a new nail salon. I am very picky with my acrylic, I like it thin and never sharp. I was in the area for a wedding and stopped in on a Saturday morning. The staff was friendly and everything seemed clean. My main problem was the price. It was super expensive for a mani/pedi, more than I pay in DC where the cost of living is way higher. Also, the technician who did my nails, left very unclean lines around the cuticle. I had to ask her to go back on both my fingers and toes to clean it up, and she seemed confused about what I was asking, when they clearly looked like something I could have done. The manicure did last almost a whole week which was impressive, but my toenails started chipping after a few days. read more

This has to be one of the worst nail salons I have ever been to. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I only went out of desperation when other places were closed or booked on a holiday weekend. The nail polish as others have mentioned is very watered down. I witnessed the manicurist watering down my nail polish. The manicurists are not aware of basic safety and hygiene techniques - like cleaning your station before a customer sits and puts their hands on the nail dust of a previous customer. The one who did my nails left my fingers bleeding from trying to cut cuticles which were actually skin. When I told her not to do other hand she started to anyway until I had to be more stern and say "it shouldn't be bleeding". The equipment is not sanitized properly either. Considering they're making people bleed and then using the same unsanitized equipment on multiple customers this is a breeding ground for infection. I don't know if nail salons need to pass some kind of health or safety inspection. But this place would most certainly fail. read more

I am from Los Angeles, CA and traveling on business. I travel almost all 52 weeks of the year and get my nails done all over the country. L'Amour Nail & Spa does excellent work. Budget a bit of time as they do take their time...which I appreciate, and they are not extremely cheap; $47.00 for a basic mani/pedi. The $47.00 was well worth every penny. At 39, I have been getting my nails done for quite awhile, but I cannot remember the last time I was this satisfied with the work done, care taken and the kindness of the staff. I will stop here as no one likes long reviews. read more

Thought they were a bit pricey. Charged extra on pedi for callous removal. Every other place I've been its included in price. The staff was not overly friendly. The lady took forever and did not seem too organized and confident in her work. But the worst part is they let their 3 year old kid run around the salon. I think we may have found L'Amour on an off day. I went a couple of months ago with my friend to get no-chip manicures. Upon arriving they were able to start us right away, so since we had time, we added pedis too. We wrote all this on the check-in sheet. We sat in the chairs with our feet soaking in lukewarm water for twenty minutes. The woman who approached me asked if I needed no-chip and I said "Not for my feet, but a no-chip mani, yes." The pedicure was fine. Then when I was moved to the table for my hands, she started using a regular polish. I interrupted to clarify and she said that she had asked and I had said "No." The translation error cost a little bit of time as she had to remove the polish from my first two nails. I had also already paid, so she said it would be an extra $20. I tried to give her a $20 bill but there was also tax she had to add on... In the meantime, my friend was working with a gentleman who also appeared to be running the place. He stopped frequently to help greet guests at the door and answer the phone. Eventually my manicure was done and my friend was still in the buffing stages. Getting to work on time was a challenge. I wouldn't come back here if I had somewhere to be afterward, but if you've got an open schedule, I say go for it. read more
