Ngl gang our food was like cold and the chips was stale, my pancakes was goated but coulda been warmer n stuff. We got our food fast and nun took too long and the place was nice and clean. On the down low it had potential but yk just like the tigers we always fumbling shi. read more

I ate here while visiting the area for a music festival, the building is not new or classy looking. The inside is kind of tired looking and could use a little TLC. The menu is slightly limited but the food was okay. They offer breakfast all day and had more breakfast offerings than lunch or dinner selections. The waitress was the bright spot, she appeared to be the only one waiting on tables and the place was pretty busy. She checked on us many times, when our drinks were low she brought refills. All in all not a bad dining experience. read more

Food was very tasty. All hot or at least warm enough for the particular item. Even though some of the facility was under construction you could barely notice and it was very clean. Now the service on the other hand was not so great. Maybe it was the particular spot we sat at but we were pretty much ignored and bypassed by other people who came in after us. Not sure why the service was like this since everything else was great, but definitely dropped this place down a peg. Definitely will try again in the future to see if this was a one a million experience. read more

My husband and I rode to Evart, on our bikes, and were looking for a place for lunch. We stumbled across Lamplighter and decided to go in and place an order. We ordered a BLT and a club sandwich. Both came with potato chips and we upgraded one to fries. Food was very good. The best part was the service we received. The waitress was kind, considerate, helpful, and friendly. She went above and beyond the norm to take care of us. My only reason for giving 4 stars is that the place needs some updating. Other than that- I highly recommend! read more

There's nothing worse than claiming "homemade" when it's clearly not. I would not have ordered the "French Dip made with homemade roast beef" had I known it wasn't homemade. I took one look at it and then questioned the waitress as to the menu claiming homemade. Heating and Slicing it in-house does not qualify as "homemade". I told the waitress (who was very nice) that I didn't want it. She was not allowed to take it off my bill because she could not reach the owner. So I was charged $10 for a sandwich basket (she never did bring my coleslaw) that I feel I was lied to about. I will not be returning. read more

Well, we were in the middle of nowhere and pulled in this small unassuming building. First notice was the cleanliness. The second was the efficient friendly service. Friend ordered pork chops and was totally satisfied. I had THE BEST Country Fried Steak accompanied with gravy and perfect American Fries with onions. This is off our beaten path but you are assured a heaping helping of comfort food. Don't bypass the pumpkin pie. read more

Cute and clean. Service was prompt and friendly. My guest and I each ordered omelettes for lunch with salads and fried mushrooms. The omelette rocked. My husband and I frequent this establishment and find the food and service very good. However; today, we initially were the only customers in the restaurant, shortly there after, eight more customers came in taking three tables. Instead of the server taking our order, she decided to get everyone menus, water and coffee. After twenty minutes she finally came over to take our order. Coffee and hot tea weren't filled unless you hunted down the server. After waiting thirty minutes for our food, my husband got up and asked the server where our food was. We had to ask for our check as well. Both servers were more interested in gossiping with each other and customers. read more

Very bad service my husband and I went there for dinner and had to switch our orders 3 times and they still didn't get it right and it was cold like they didn't even cook it. When we got the bill it was almost $30 for two drinks and 2 sandwiches. We will not be going back there for that price and bad service. read more

I have been here twice. The first time my service was fine and I ordered a chicken strip basket. It was the cheapest processed chicken I have ever ate, McDonald's is better. The second trip here my service sucked. It took 30mins just to get a drink. I ordered a Farmers omelet. It came and looked great, I cut into it and it oozed raw eggs out. read more

Was there for lunch. Had cauliflower appetizer that was very greasy and slightly under-cooked. Ordered a cheeseburger basket. Paid almost $4 extra for the basket that was not worth it. From a former regular customer~Need to vent on this one: My hubby & I go for breakfast. An omelet is $7.75 & $1.25 extra for hash browns with it. So we order 2 omelets but only one with hash browns & I ask the waitress if she can put the one order of hash browns on a separate plate for us to share. She says sure. We also order two coffees ($1.25 each). The food comes & there are hash browns on both plates. I say remember we only ordered one order of hash browns on a side plate. She says, "Yes, but I had them divide the hash browns & put them on each plate, is that ok?" We say, sure. Bill comes........we are charged $9.00 for two omelets with two orders of hash browns PLUS an additional full order of hash browns by themselves which is $1.75 extra & the two cups of coffee ($2.50 for two). So we challenge the bill & it goes south in a heart beat! The "manager" will not even listen to us, now calls over the owner (who happens to be her mother). Thinking that she would listen to reason was a huge mistake, she was as nasty, accusing & rude as her daughter, "the manager". I am told by the "manager" that it's my word against the NEW TRAINEE that had waited on us & she had just left for the day. We are trying to explain what we ordered & I finally say to her "You are calling us liars", she says, "I will take the word of my employee over yours." My husband wants to pay the actual bill ($19.25 + Tax) & now they are refiguring the bill (all the while glaring at us & slamming things). So they refigure the bill, charging less then the bill should be! Hubby tries to pay what we actually owe, but their computer is never wrong & they want less then what we really owe & will not take a penny more (WTF?) From there it went from bad to worse & when I told her we would never eat there again she says get out or be escorted out! I asked her who was going to escort us out?????????????? Moral of the story...... should have eaten at home. read more
