I purchased 4 ceiling fans, remote controls, and table lamps here back in September 2011. I received fantastic service and the salesperson went out of his way to point out the fans for the best value. I saved a ton of money, time, and effort by shopping here. I wish I had come into the store at the start of my home redecorating instead of mid-way because I could have saved a lot of time. I don't live full time in RM, so when I am back up north it is great to be able to phone the store, get help from a salesperson & order, then arrange for my electrician to pick up when the order is ready. They really go the extra mile for their customers and pricing ranges from low to high. There is something for everyone's budget and styles. read more

Went to return a light fixture we purchased 7 days ago. The manager Matt wanted to charge $50 rewire fee for a $85 lamp. Worst customer service ever. Will not recommend to anyone. read more

Paola, Hector, Robert and ALL their staff were extremely helpful in our finding the correct bulb that worked for our ceiling fans. They all went out of their way when the first bulbs did not seem to work and explained what to try if the replacement ones did not work properly either. The new bulbs worked perfectly! Awesome service! I bought several fans from LampsPlus, as they have an amazing selection. One of the fan started having problems with the receiver, i.e., the module in the fan that receives the signal from the hand-held remote. I called LampsPlus, talked with Robert who had helped me originally with the selection and purchase of all my fans, and... no questions asked, Robert provided me with a replacement transmitter - and all that with a smile! The only reason they get one star is simply because the fan itself was very nice. (Plus it's a requirement ) we've entered this store twice. The first time, when we first purchased our home, a year ago. Horrible service, walked around for 10 minutes before anybody approached us. One of the girls who was helping us was being a little rude. We ended up just walking out. We recently revisited the store looking for another ceiling fan as well as additional lighting for our home office. We got greeted again 5 minutes after entering the store anxious having walked most of the store. The woman whom had an accent ,I believe Russian. Yes she was attentive in helping us. But after a while she did become a little snarky and rude. Her tone and completely switched. We placed our order for the 1 fan and left since I had had enough of the attitude. We later called back to attempt to cancel the order, as the female had left a bad impression on us. We were rudely greeted on the phone by a male, placed on hold because he had ' a very long line of customer and apparently had no one else to handle the call. 'Mind you we had just left the store.' After waiting on hold for about 5 minutes we again tried to explain to the person that we wanted to cancel the order. After explaining to him over and over about an order number, he Finally understood but mentioned the female, who's name I clearly didn't care to remember, will be giving us a call back to cancel the order. This was last week, since then we have been billed,.and haven't received a call. The only thing that is keeping me from.returning the fan is that it is a decent fan. However the service, I could care less for. We will not be returning to this establishment unless they maybe have a going out of business sign on the door. read more

While looking at fans and light fixtures, I noticed an oval mirror with a clearance tag and price of $17.97. We immediately asked the saleslady if the price was correct and if so, was there anything wrong with it. She replied the price was indeed correct and that there was nothing wrong with it. She the explained the difference between clearance and close out tags to reassure us. However, when checking out, manager Hector Jaramillo told us we could not purchase the mirror as somebody had mismarked the tag. We asked him what the price should be but he could not answer. However, he did tell us he would not honor the marked price. Very rude and poor customer service from him. The sales lady apologized and said she was very embarrassed. I will not purchase any thing from this store. Check and double check the prices on all tags before you get excited about a purchase as it could most likely be "mismarked." read more

I bought two fans here and got some kind of extended service plan. In less than a year one of the fans died despite the fact that I am only a part-time resident, had actually installed it a couple of months after purchase and had only used it maybe ten times. I went back to see what could be done. Nothing as it turned out. The extended service had expired a month before ( because they hadn't installed it?). They offered to sell me a new fan...at regular price. Not impressed with the customer I went to another retailer who just sold fans. After relating my tale of woe, they told me that they sold the same fan and IT HAD A LIFETIME WARRANTY a fact Lamps Plus neglected to mention. Additionally, this company offered to switch out the defective motor and return the defective one for me. AND I HADN'T EVEN PURCHASED THERE. With Lamps Plus' awful customer service I won't be shopping there again. The other business, however, will get all my fan related patronage in the future. read more

The first light fixture I purchased was presented to me in a box. I found that I was missing several crystals so I called the store and they thoroughly interrogated me to make sure that I had not misplaced one of the items. My husband was then given the replacements. The next light fixture they ordered for me came in 3 weeks and again I was presented the box. It took my husband and I over an hour to go through all the crystals and found 3 broken ones, however there were extras included. Our electrician came and installed the fixtiures but the light was defective so I called the store and was told to keep the fixture and they would order me a new one. Two weeks later I get a call to pick up the new one and once again I was almost handed the box but the young man said he needed the other one first and I told him part of the fixture is bolted to my wall and I would have to pay my electrician to come out to remove it and he said he could lose his job if he gave me the fixture but he could charge me another $600+ for the fixture and then refund the mone after I bring them the defective fixture. I said why should I have to pay my electrician for their defective light. At least 3 of their employees just stared at me instead of doing something about this. I told them I would bring back the defective light fixture and they can keep them both. read more

I have been going to this store for years and have always received the very best service. Anyone who says they had to wait a long time for service must have been there during a very busy time as I always get waited on promptly. The same people that criticize not being waited on right away are the same that complain that sales people pounce on them the minute the enter the store. Most people like to look around and see if they find anything they like before talking to a sales person and they will give you that time. Just ask for help when you are ready and don't just stand back and wait so you can complain later. Lazaro is the sales person that I use and he knows his products and provides top service. If you want great selection, price and service then this is your place and Lazaro is your person! Just an FYI, I have done the lighting for 4 personal homes during the past 6 years and do not have a single complaint! read more

I took two lamps from two different sets of lamps to Lamps Plus to try on new shades. Both Cynthia and a male employee were very helpful (he said it was actually his day off, but he'd come in to research new merchandise). They almost immediately found perfect shades for the modernist style lamp that I thought would be difficult to match. And Cynthia helped me try numerous shades for the other lamp, bringing out several different harp sizes to get the right height. When I got home, I decided that I'd prefer a different shape for the second lamp style so brought lamp and shades back the next day. Frankly, I was a little embarrassed because we'd been through so many shades before, but Cynthia seemed very enthusiastic about my new search and helped me find another set of really lovely shades. As I am going to be away from the desert for longer than the 60-day return period, I was concerned that I might not be able to return the new shades if they too weren't right. But she said that I could exchange them for different shades after the 60 days without a problem. Cynthia is a very nice, uncritical and helpful salesperson. The selection at the store is very good. I'd really have no reason to shop elsewhere in the desert for lamp related products. read more
