They have a nice selection of lamps and shades as well as some mirrors. They can be a little expensive but overall I was satisfied with the 3 lamps I've purchased there. Each lamp looks unique and really compliments the rooms they are in. I've never had a problem with their sales people. Joei Peralta has been a superstar. We were purchasing several fixtures and her knowledge and guidance were excellent. I never expected the process to involve so much support from a sales associate but I'm so glad that was our experience. The only missing star is for issues with the lamps themselves. Two arrived with preexisting damage. Although Joei immediately ordered new ones at no cost to us, there's a little inconvenience in having to wait for a new order. We love to buy lamps and we no longer shop all over town. We simply drive to Lamps Plus. They carry everything from inexpensive lamps to high-end fixtures and accessories. We can always find what we are looking for. Our favorite location is the one on Morena Boulevard. Today we dealt with Philip Shields. As with all of their employees, Philip was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and made us feel comfortable. I don't write that many reviews, but we have been shopping at the store for so many years that I decided it was time. Good service should be rewarded. read more

This store deserves zero stars! The lack of service is outright deplorable. I previously complained about a similar incident. Went back several months later hoping the service/lack of thereof had improved and yet the same thing occurred. People who work there are outright lazy! I walked into this store with my 19-month old daughter needing lighting options for our new home but having no idea where to start. Desiree greeted me at the door, took me to a table at the back where we could sit down and then worked with me for the next three hours to figure out how to get us what we needed within our budget. She made an overwhelming task seem manageable and we left extremely happy with our new lights ordered and shipping for free directly to our house! We had bought a floor lamp and when we got home it was not straight. The top half had a serious list to the left, I called the store and they told me to just bring it down and they would replace it with a new lamp. The next day we arrived at 10:17 and we left at 10:31 with a new lamp and a new friend. Desiree is the new friend, she was able to rectify our situation and was an excellent representative of Lamps Plus. We have been steady customers for many years and always look forward to excellent service. We were not disappointed as Desiree is a credit to the staff, very knowledgeable and very charismatic. I'm not sure what to say here. On one hand I really like the store and the other day when I was in I was helped by Stacey, a very pleasant girl and helpful. On that occasion I did not buy anything but looked around to make a future decision. The reason why I have to give the store a one star is because one of their salesmen really disgusted me. I made sure to get his name, it was Dustin. So I'm looking around and i glance him scratching and grabbing his crotch....how disgusting! Take it in the bathroom if it is such a problem. I'm sure that Lamps Plus offers some kind of health insurance, maybe you want to talk to a doctor. Anyway I found it very offensive. I'll be back to shop there as I really like their selection of gift items and accessories in addition to the lamps they offer. I'll just try to keep Disgustin Dustin out of my line of vision. read more

Purchased new LED light fixtures in May 2014 - they promised to have everything received and installed in two weeks. It took two months for Lamps Plus to install the lighting. They completely missed the first appointment - "it was a scheduling mistake". They failed to complete the 2nd attempt due to broken glass globes, the third attempt also arrived with broken glass globes. The forth attempt they were finally able to make the lighting work. As of 01/2015, I now have a bad LED bulb - bulbs that were suppose to last 25 years. I go the store and ask about a replacement bulb 4 weeks ago. The assistant manager argues with me - telling me that I had not purchased the bulb from them but from a vendor down the street and that Lamps Plus had never carried that style of LED bulb. After several minutes of arguing with me a second employee suggests they look up my account and sure enough all five of the bulbs had been purchased from that store. I was then told that the bulb was under warranty and that a replacement would be ordered for me right away and that I would be contacted with the status the next day - The assistant manager had taken my information and wrote it on a scrap piece of paper. Two weeks go by, no word from the store. I go back and the same assistant manager tells me that "it fell through the cracks and that someone else failed to order the bulb". Again I was promised a call back with a status update - again writing the information on the back of scrap paper. It's now been one month and I have no hopes that Lamps Plus will ever make due on the their promises or warranty - I am now looking on Amazon and other places to find a replacement bulb We are telling all of our friends and co-workers to stay away from this place. We have given them multiple attempts to make things right and have found that they are not trustworthy. read more

This store has great selection of products both in their store and online. However their customer service/attitude stinks. We have visited this store several times in the past 6 weeks looking for lamps/shades for our new home. When my wife was there 2 weeks ago the personnel on the floor were hard to find and not knowledgeable. My wife went to the store this morning (10:20 AM) to return a lamp shade and was unable to locate any sales personnel. When she finally did, she was informed my the "sales" person that they had just opened and there was no one available--and then the "sales" person just walked away. It took another 5 minuets before anyone else came onto the floor. We are done shopping at this store. read more

I found the staff knowledgeable in the products. They were able to answer all of my questions, like: "can this light fixture use LEDs," "can this fixture be in a bathroom," "what kind of maintenance can I expect with these crystals?" They have a large selection of fixtures: things you can't find in HomeDepot or Lowes. The prices were fair, and they offered some on sale items throughout the store. Check out was a little slow. Yesterday we picked up three outside lights. Our sales lady was Christine. No pressure, just lots of help and with a very pleasant and caring attitude. A good experience. Then while preparing the install, I had a problem with the main fixture. I called Christine and with no hesitation what-so-ever, she was ready to help. Told me to come in the next morning and she would see that the problem was taken care of. Went in this morning and sure enough, Christine was waiting for me with the part I needed. The same smile and great attitude. Dealing with a person like this is such a pleasure and sad to say, doesn't happen as much as it used to. The sales process was fine. But when we had issues with the lamp, it was a different story. We bought a track lighting system and had it professionally installed. One end sagged, and the electrician had to rig up wires on both ends to level it. We also had to exchange led bulbs, and they gave us a 67 cent refund for lower wattage bulbs. They called in a supervisor about the sagging aspect, and she tried to convince me that the sag was a normal part of the design. She offered to exchange the unit, but I had paid the electrician $300 to install it. She finally gave me a 5% discount, about $12 on a $200 purchase. Thanks a lot. I ordered some great light fixtures towards the end of 2012. Unfortunately, 3 of the lights were shipped broken. I jumped through hoops to send photos and was initially thrilled that they were going to ship the new lights out. They sent me a part of the full light fixture. When I requested the other parts to be shipped as well, it took me over 2 months to get the second piece. Here I am 6 months later still with no 3rd part AND the customer service center has stopped communicating with me. The lights were over $1k and should be covered. They are not inexpensive fixtures. I threatened to write a review and contact BBB last week...they did not respond. So, here I am. A shame that the great light fixtures were damaged and that the customer care center does not seem to have a grasp on stellar service. Looks like I will have to find a future light fixture center BUT I will require the missing pieces to be replaced. Perhaps in the next 12 months we can close this issue out. read more

I came in for a fixtures for the renovations on my kitchen and 3 bathrooms recently and spoke with a woman named dolly briefly before i could tell her what i was looking for she went to the back and i heard her using awful terms like "smoke blowers" and "cheapos" while venting to what im guessing was a coworker describing me and other customers. My husband ordered an Uttermost contemporary floor lamp for me on-line. Unfortunately, the white linen shade came dented. I called Lamps Plus customer service, and they sent out a replacement shade. But it when I got it, it was a completely different color: beige-y yellow. Yuck. So I took both shades into this store and explained my problem. I tried to get someone to assist me, but they would not give me the time of day. At one point, a sales person walked right past me and my husband with his head down. I wanted a floor lamp with a modern look, we've lived with the standard black $20 floor lamp that we all had in the 80's. I saw some poor Yelp reviews about this store, but also saw some cool floor lamps on their website so decided to stop by tonight and I couldn't be happier. Dustin greeted me on entering the store and he was perfect: told me about how they don't have all the styles in the store but that I could pick out anything they didn't have on their online catalog with no shipping fees and I could decide against anything if I didn't like it once it came in. He was there when I needed him and retreated when I didn't, which was such a nice shopping experience: absolutely no pressure. I was looking in the $150 range, but fell in love with a floor lamp they had in stock that was twice my budget. Dustin didn't press at all, he steered me to other floor lamps in my price range that were pretty cool. Ended up buying the lamp I LOVE, and he knocked down the price a bit due to a few tiny flaws, and he wrapped it up in plastic and helped me put it in my car. After I purchased a chandelier from their online store, when it arrived there was one screw missing and I thought I might have to package it all up again and send it back!! Within 24 hours I had decided on two additional lighting fixtures online, and received a callback from Ronnie at the local store on Morena, that they had one of them in stock and would have the other one for me within another 24 hours. As luck would have it, the lamp I wanted was on the very last screen in our search! Desiree was very patient and determined to find what I wanted, and since the lamp had to be ordered, she explained very clearly the ordering process and the shipping information I would receive. The lamp was delivered directly to my home much quicker than I'd expected, and it's beautiful! Exactly what I wanted. Long story short. After waiting 6 weeks for 2 ceiling fans ordered, I called to find out where they were. They said they would call me back, but did not. Finally, 8 weeks later, I got the fans. The install appointment for which I had to take a day off, was cancelled at the time of the appointment by the installer whose name I cannot pronounce, said he was broke down on the freeway so while I thought he was going to say he would be late, the appt was scheduled for 8 a.m., he said that I would have to call and reschedule entirely. I cancelled the install and used Electric Lee. If you HAVE TO order fans from this place, don't use their install. I will not return. read more

Before you go to Lamps plus you should do your homework. Look at their website. Their customer service is not great till you get to the cash register. I had a good idea of what I wanted and then they were out of stock but found 4 outdoor light fixtures for the front of my house and I was happy. I was going for a Tuscany look but ended up with more like "Mi Casa, su Casa" . Theses were also on a one day sale and that kept me on budget.That's why they get 4 stars and I get 5 stars! read more

How is it possible to give less than one star. Called to talk to Matt, as he was the only Legrand lighting expert there; he was in, and I informed the receptionist that I would just come in to talk to him personally as I was ready to buy. She said fine. I was there in 15 minutes. After being told he was in the back room, I said I had time and would wait and to let him know that I was there. After 30 min of waiting, I see him going out the door. I reached out to him and he then informs me he doesn't work Mondays and leaves. This is a person who is all about customer service....NOT. Tuesday afternoon, I call to talk to him, and I was ready to come down that day. Matt says a better day would be Wednesday after 11..more like 11:30. I said great, I would see him then (the next day). I go in Wednesday at 11:45 only to find out he is at lunch. I ask to talk to the manager to complain! He is the manager. Really!! Without a doubt the Worst service and manger I have experienced in my life. A better score for this store and Matt would be a minus 5 stars. read more
