The soda cooler for takeout and has kimchi.

This place must be well known by the locals, I was surprised to find it as busy as it was at 3:30 pm on a Friday afternoon. Pho is good, I like that when I order the rare round steak it comes out I can add it to my bowl myself. The waitress/hostess was attentive and fast. She never left and dirty dish site as soon as people were done eating she was picking up the dishes and wiping the tables down. It has a small parking lot for maybe 6 cars, put there is plenty of street parking if you don't mind that. Very clean and quiet, I enjoy this kind of atmosphere.

We went to Lam Restaurant. Customer service was good. Food was horrible our fried rice can our very plain, very hard as it was made out of very old rice sitting in the counter for day. My son even stated that the rice was burnt and pick out burnt rice grain. Bun bo hue was very disappointed as it doesn't seem more like a clear broth vermicelli noodle instead. Both pho and bun Bo hue had just couple slices of meat in it only. This was not the first time but second time. Sadly we won't be giving this place a third try again.

I had the vegan pho and vegan rolls. The vegan rolls are huge, I only really needed one as an appetizer. The rolls were very good, especially with the dipping sauce, but the vegan pho was just ok. I have had better vegan phos with more flavorful broths. Overall, I appreciate a restaurant in Sioux Falls offering a vegan dedicated menu and would eat here again.

Flavors were good. Sampler platter came with two sauces. Sweet and sour and peanut. Peanut was a little too liquidity but alright. Sweet and sour was good but they gave you so little of it. Only one waitress and service was very slow. Glad we got there when we did. Only three tables. Got busier when we were leaving. I didn't get a picture of the Cornish hen combo. It was really good. The meat was very tender. Soup was flavored well.

Egg Rolls. Extra $2 for lettuce cups ?

Saw the ratings and thought it shouldn't be too bad. I was disappointed but I have to understand the choices are limited in this city and state. Coming from Southern California with a huge Vietnamese community and so many choices to choose from this restaurant will have a hard time to compete with. Pricing is a tad overpriced. The Pho combo just lacks too little choices of beef. What I normally are offered compared to their price point for the combo comes with a larger serving of noodles with rare steak, bigger flank steak, beef brisket, tendon, tripe and for a little more money some beef balls. The beef ball they offer equates to a single Meatball sliced to little pieces. Normally my added offer of Meatballs in my city are 3 Meatballs halfed. Granted their soup base was ok but is not great. The spring roll was a sad offering. It was basically frozen egg rolls. The size is small and the taste was lacking. I found it parcular that it didn't come with the lettuce without charge like every Vietnamese places I've been to. $2 extra charge for 4 small leafs of lettuce ? It was not served with the mint leave and veggie together which it normally does in other places I've been to. It was really too pricey for the lack of quality and quantity. Sorry South Dakotains you are missing out on what a real good quality Vietnamese Pho and egg rolls are. I did not try the other offerings in their menu.

Wonderful :) out here for work. Always try to find a good Vietnamese spot. This was worth the drive. Friendly staff. Prompt service & the food was awesome. Love finding vegan/vegetarian friendly restaurants :) bought a jar of their chili oil, excited ;)

This is the best Pho in town. The perfect comfort food! I really enjoy the Pho Thai, and my partner loved their beef and rice dish.

I have been eating here, well ordering to go for some years now. Today is my first time actually…read moresitting down in the restaurant. Now in the past when picking up it's usually just an older lady. She has never been super big on customer service and quite frankly pretty rude. I hate the stereotype that because it's a good Asian restaurant that service is usually not good but the food is good. Just because you know people will come back and eat, so you can treat them however. That's crazy to me... I have eaten at some amazing Asian establishments and have had both outstanding service and food. Anyway, so as I'm sitting here; there's about 6 people in here including me. Not a very big place. Kind of dark and pretty warm in here. Some stuff on the ceiling and Asian decor, grey walls. She comes to take my order and doesn't smile, I have been nothing but nice and smile at her and have manners etc.. But she asked me what I wanted, I say #19 pho beef & tendon.. then she immediately wants to run away. I say wait hold on, I wanted to add some things. What do you want to add she says? I said can I add nuoc beo on the side? She said we don't have that, then I say extra onions and cilantro.. I can't even say anything else before she tries to run away again.. then I said I would like to add spring rolls, but veggie, and I'm thinking that's tofu.. either way she runs away.. I can't even order a drink. I also really wanted to add a side of sliced onions and see if they have any Chinese donuts.. but there's no asking because she is running. Then as she comes back out to bring something to someone else, I basically have to raise my voice to ask for a drink. She brings my Dr. Pepper and spring rolls and it's literally just veggies inside. No tofu. At this point I feel not scared but like she is not approachable at all, intimidating to say the least. Very uncomfortable feeling. I really want to ask for tofu, but I'm just going to leave it alone. I saw a commercial with Vince Danh, running for city council, and I'm so confused how he is on this commercial speaking about this restaurant like it's just the best and meanwhile everyone knows the service is ridiculous. So she brings my food and everything looks good. I had to ask for a side of onions and chopsticks and chili oil. She seemed annoyed I had to ask. She brought them and I started eating. Everything was good. Now I don't want to go as far as saying racist, but I did notice how she was towards other people in here who weren't my color. I'm a lot of things but I definitely have darker skin than anyone in here. I have noticed some peoples experience may be the same who have non white skin. Anyway, I won't be coming back to sit and eat. I mean over the phone she's rude too and just wants to rush. I might order to pick up in the future, but this experience has turned me off completely. And I love Pho so much. I will just eat at Pho Thai.. I understand people have had hard lives and I have sympathy for them, but also regardless of the life you lived, you have to treat everyone with kindness. A smile goes a long way...normally....but maybe just not here.

We knew what we wanted (menu online) & she went back to the kitchen to prepare it. We literally ordered a bowl of "soup" so it's not rocket science to need any help with that. We came in at 2:45 so we had the whole place to ourselves, we were out by 3:15. It only took maybe 3 min to get our food. And for 2 people it cost like $25. So to me, that's better than any ol' burger joint you can hit up. Plus, we have a whole other meal's worth of leftovers. 100% would go back anytime. Was it the cleanest place? Maybe not - but neither is my granny's kitchen - so take what you want outta that. It was homey.

We were greeted by a small child (maybe 10 years old), who was barefoot when he walked back into the kitchen to yell that "customers are here". This was a little off putting, and we probably should have turned around right then. Unfortunately, we did not, I was hungry, and we had been on the road for 5 hours. After combing through the huge (and kinda confusing but that doesn't bother me) menu, we decided on multiple dim sum dishes and one main dish to share. When we went to order, 5/6 things we wanted to order were "sold out". This was beyond frustrating, and while she said that they were on vacation to explain why they were out of everything, I wish they told us that when we sat down rather than waiting until after we were ready to order. I ended up just settling for a safe option of steamed roasted pork buns and chicken fried rice. They were just okay. However my boyfriend got the "chicken three cups" with a side of fried rice, and he said he liked it.

You begin to recognize what authentic and distinctive flavors are actually supposed to taste like. And unfortunately, you also become very aware when something simply doesn't quite hit the mark. Pho Thai is quite popular in Sioux Falls and now has several locations around the city, so naturally my husband and I wanted to give it a try. Sioux Falls is still developing its international food scene compared to places like Phoenix, where we previously lived, so we are always hopeful when we hear good things about a local spot. The experience overall was unfortunately pretty underwhelming. The food wasn't terrible, but most of it felt very middle-of-the-road and lacked the distinctive flavor profiles that make Thai and Vietnamese cuisine so memorable. We tried a variety of dishes along with appetizers like the pot stickers, which were perfectly edible, but fairly generic overall. Some of the food throughout the meal seemed either slightly underdone or overdone, which made the kitchen execution feel inconsistent. The noodles themselves were fine, but again, nothing really stood out. That's honestly the recurring issue we had with most of the meal: nothing was actively offensive, but almost nothing made us excited either. It felt less like carefully crafted regional cuisine and more like food designed to play things very safely. I think if you have limited exposure to Thai or Vietnamese food, especially in smaller Midwestern cities, you may enjoy this place much more than we did. For Sioux Falls, it is probably considered one of the better available options. But for us, after experiencing truly wonderful versions of these cuisines in larger cities and abroad, this just didn't compare. Still searching for that authentic spark over here. Nonetheless, the restaurant was clean, busy, and satisfactory enough for a casual meal. Just not somewhere we'd personally rank very highly.
