Upon landing on Molokai, the airlines lost / misplaced all of my gear, so I was there to do an important job, but had not tools, and even lost some specialty communications cables....... I had to think pretty fast on my feet, as not executing and completing this job was not an option.......... What did I do???? Of course I opened my Yelp app. to look for the closest hardware store in conjunction to where I was working. Low & behold, I found 3 places that possibly could meet my needs - 1. Ace Hardware 2. Take's True Value Hardware Store 3. Napa Auto Parts Store I first went to Ace Hardware, but they didn't carry all the tools that I was looking for...........then I did plan "#2" and went to Take's True Value Hardware Store. BINGO!!! Take's had all the tools that I needed to complete the task I came to Molokai to do! Looking at Take's True Value...........it kinda reminded me of a smaller scale City Mill. This hardware store is locally owned, clean, and besides tools.........they also sold other items like sporting goods, plumbing items, & electrical items too! Lots of free parking in the private parking lot, but I didn't have to worry about parking, as I walked over to the store from the bank. It's nice to know that even if you're on a remote island............you can still get what you need, and I feel so fortunate that Take's True Value Hardware Store was around when I needed them!

Asked 3 workers and all pointed me in different aisles. Which at this point I had been walking around in circles. Larry, even though he was in lumber, took the time out and walked me to the right aisle to get a Husky lamp. He needed to get ladder and pull my item down which took him away from his duties. He then walked me to where the headlamps are and patiently helped me search for headlamps on the ladder as well. He never let me feel rushed or was a bother. Thank you Harry!

Yes, I follow the directions on the app. Only once out of those 3 times did I'd receive my items outside. The two others, I had to go in to customer service and get them. Today was one of those times. Waited 10 minutes. No one. Another customer was waiting as well, so only two cars. I normally go in, but today I had my elderly mother, so curbside was more practical, but nevertheless I had to go in to get my one thing. What's the purpose of calling it curbside if I gotta go in to get it?

All he was attempting to do was a simple exchange within 1 hour but hadn't located his receipt. The manager recalled him being there and completed the transaction. We do appreciate her support and later located our receipt. Sadly the manager witnessed this poor example of an employee and we are seeking to discuss this experience with higher management and/or owner of this branch. No Aloha given so no aloha returned. If you live out in the country in Haiku, it's very convenient not to have to drive all the way into town. They have really good selection of garden supplies for organic gardening. The staff today were very friendly and helpful and loaded the stuff into my car for me. It's nothing glamorous, as the store is located in an old refurbished pineapple Cannery. So there's a lot of history here which makes it kind of interesting. People in Haiku really like to grow things, so tise store is very convenient and helpful for the community.

She only bought one card and it was sitting in my wallet wrapped in a receipt until today. Clerk says "sorry boss" and proceeds to keep the card and receipt behind the register; I had to ask for it back. He offered no way to make it right and I put everything back I was going to purchase.
