I wanted to enjoy my stay at the Lancaster Inn and Suites in Lancaster PA but unfortunately the experience fell short in several important areas. While the location itself is convenient and the staff was generally polite this hotel is clearly in need of attention and updates. The room was very poorly lit which immediately made it feel uninviting and uncomfortable. Even during the daytime the lighting was so dim that it was difficult to see clearly without turning on every available lamp. At night it felt even worse creating a gloomy atmosphere that made the room feel smaller and older than it should have. One of the biggest disappointments was the couch in the room. It was visibly broken and sagging making it unusable for sitting or relaxing. For a hotel that advertises suites this was especially frustrating since the extra space should be functional and comfortable. Instead the furniture felt worn out and neglected as if it had been ignored for far too long. Overall the room and the property feel outdated and in need of a serious refresh. From the furniture to the lighting and general condition it seems like basic maintenance and modernization have been put on the back burner. Cleanliness was acceptable but that alone does not make up for the lack of comfort and the obvious wear and tear throughout the room. This stay was not terrible but it was far from enjoyable. With proper updates better lighting and replacement of damaged furniture this hotel could be much better. Until then it is hard to justify anything more than a two star rating. read more

I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. From the moment we walked in, the experience was a complete disaster. The staff was unbelievably rude and acted like helping guests was some huge inconvenience. Every simple question felt like we were bothering them, and the attitude we got back was beyond unprofessional. The room itself was absolutely disgusting. I'm not exaggerating when I say it looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in months. Stains on the sheets, hair in the bathroom, dust everywhere, and a smell that hit you the second you opened the door. It honestly made you question how this place is even allowed to operate. The hallways were dirty, the whole building felt run down, and nothing about the place felt safe or welcoming. For the price they charge, it's borderline insulting. This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else. This place needs serious cleaning, better management, and staff who actually care about guests. Until then, avoid it at all costs. read more

I recently stayed at the Lancaster Inn & Suites as part of a group trip. The stay was so disappointing on so many levels. Upon arrival at the hotel, signs were posted that the hotel was undergoing renovations. While some hotel rooms may have undergone renovation, Room 215 had not. We checked into our rooms with an hour to rest and change before our next event. Entering my room, the (1) refrigerator was leaking and the water had reached the bed bottom. I used my break time to clean up the leak and get more towels, (2) dust/clean the entire room which had a white hue (3), and recover the pillowcases which were yellow (instead of white). When I returned to the room after dinner, around 10 p.m., there was an (4) "ant" invasion in the bathroom where I also saw the (5) mold growing in the wall behind the toilet. I called Management and they came and sprayed in the bathroom for the ants and the cracks and crevices. Due to sensitives from the spray, the Manager took me to see a second room. The second room was a suite, but equally dusty/dirty with paint chipping off the walls. At that late hour, I was exhausted, out of cleaning wipes and returned to my room and wore two face masks to hide the smell of the bug spray. The next morning, there were issues with the (6) shower, leading to a flood in the bathroom, the room foyer and into the hallway. I stepped out of the shower into a quarter inch of water on the floor filled with the dead ants killed the previous night. I called Management to request help and more towels. They brought the towels and handed them to me...and I requested they stop the water as it was already in hallway. Upon returning home, I looked at your hotel reviews - you were aware of all my issues but chose to book these "problem" rooms anyway, disappointing to the level where you diminished by vacation experience. read more

We stayed here for a soccer tournament. Very nice accommodations. Small amount of staff but very nice. Located between bigger towns but close to several breweries and restaurants, maybe 5 to 10 minutes away. Small outdoor pool but nice areas to sit and relax outside. A bit pricey but rates go up during tournaments. Worth a look especially if you're going to visit Hershey park, far enough away,but close enough as well. read more

Starting off with the bad. There was so many stains and so much hair in our bed when we arrived. We went down stairs to request a bed sheet change. The front desk guy was really helpful to the situation. He tried to ask the cleaners to come change our bed sheets. The cleaner then said he would be up in a few minutes, so we went back up to our room to wait. 45 minutes go by nothing. So we called down and then was told he would be up in a couple more minutes. Another 30 minutes go by and the front desk guy shows up to our door apologizing profusely for the cleaners actions. He brought us the sheets to change them ourselves. The floors were sticky and there was hair in the mini fridge. Ending with the good, the bed was really comfy, room was really spacious. And again the night front desk clerk was trying to fix the situation and we really thank him for trying. read more

There for a soccer tournament so it was a perfect location for us. Not sure if you are visiting Lancaster if it will still be as good. They are making upgrades. Breakfast was fine at best. Some stale cereal and the person working there hid in another room. read more

My poor grandmother is in the hospital after being so bitten up by bedbugs and when went brought to management's attention they said 'they'd clean the room' unfortunately for us we thought the room WAS cleaned. No sympathy, no care. Definitely showed us they just care about the money and not the customer. read more

Absolutely horrid customer service. I received a call after booking that they tried to charge me when it clearly states in the terms and conditions that I'm not to be charged until check in for the pay later option. Thank God I was paying cash for this booking and it declined the transaction. Got nothing but attitude when transferred to another person from customer service because the first guy said "I'm not dealing with your shit". I canceled my card and canceled the booking. You committed fraud because of not following the procedure that you agreed to when confirming the booking. I already spoke with my bank and have every right to pursue legal action in the case of any charge you try to slap me with since you broke protocol. I've seen pay by the hour motels with better service. Hope you pricks get sued because of how you treat people who want to use your services. read more

where to begin, we had a two day stay there. Shortly after check in, we noticed a very strong smell of marijuana. Turns out the staff was downstairs. Smoking marijuana. The first and second floor stunk really bad because of it. The room itself was dirty with dust on the headboard and other furniture. The floor was dirty we had an electrical conduit with wires hanging loose on the wall rather than being secured, the upper corners in the bathtub both showed signs of mold starting. The button to summon the elevator to the second floor did not work. The water fountain in the hallway had a sign saying out of order and looked liked the sign had been there awhile. The patio table and umbrella had a sign also stating out of order. The pool was refreshing, however, there were sections of paint peeling from the pool floor. most sections of peeling paint were at least 1 foot in diameter. Our room rate was about $75 per night. Our two night stay was just under $150 before taxes. However, our taxes were over $50. The front desk staff said it was Priceline's error. Priceline says it was the hotels error. Either way, I won't use either again. On a positive note, the lady at the front desk, on the day that we checked out, was very friendly. The lady working the food for breakfast was also very friendly. read more

Unfortunately, we had no choice in selecting this hotel it was chosen by a tour group known as "Diamond Tours " the posted rate is $87 the hotels Google site is shutdown, not allowing for reviews to be posted hmmmm, nonetheless upon check-in the bathroom sink never drained properly, the floors were filthy in our room and never received the proper attention to rectify the problem from housekeeping we even had to put towels on tge floor to avoid carrying hair and and other debris to bed with us, the hotel is very dated, simple and the breakfast bad consisted of biscuits gravey and an egg, oh the waffle very limited selection with what they market and deliver hmmm, and beware of the clientele the room above us both nights of our stay either weighted 500 lbs or purposely stomped for hours as a sign of their caliber if person ( contract construction workers) so in closing be careful diligent and next time we will handle the trip itinerary! read more

Giving the one star only because of the low price and nice lady at front desk. Definitely get what you pay for. No room service for three nights we stayed there. Mattress cover was dirty- ugh. Coffee pot I was given had a round insert for coffee pods but I was given square inserts. When I complained to front desk they said they would call me after they looked into it. They called over half hour later to say that they did not know what I was talking about. I decided to just go to Starbucks and not bother arguing with them. Rooms are very large and there was a jacuzzi, which we didn't use but the hotel pool was about 15 feet long and seven feet wide...lol. Exercise room had 3 pieces of equipment. Too funny. The worst part for me, other than yucky mattress, was the sign on ice machine warning that ice was for room ice only and not to fill coolers with ice. It's only ICE! I normally stay in either Hilton or Marriott properties, but my son's soccer team was staying here for a tournament. The property is very convenient to the PA Classics soccer park that is located directly behind the hotel. I can't really say anything bad about the hotel. It provided a solid experience. The check-in staff was friendly, but a little bit slow. They run with a bare bones staff so there were times that we waited for the front desk person to come back from "assisting another guest." The hotel was patient, understanding, and accommodating with our 13 year old boys being boys and the parents sitting by the pool enjoying some beverages. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Not the most comfortable beds or rooms, but certainly not the worst either. Everything worked as it should. The reason the hotel gets three stars instead of four is because, due to the tournament, the hotel required a two night stay and the rate was a little high. If the rate were more reasonable, the hotel would have gotten four stars. read more

To my judgement this was five stars. I am very minimal so this surpassed my expectations. Clean all around! Lovely atmosphere. Lovely breakfast staff and delicious breakfast. We checked in late at night so they gave us a first floor room but the view?! The best! You can see the huge green field and the pool, amazing! The best way to get up in the morning! Pool? Perfect! No lifeguard which I prefer I loved swimming by myself at some point and catching some rays reading a book, quiet and peaceful! No troubles at all, we checked out at noon which was the best because we had time to shower and get ready for the day! Lovely chairs to relax at the front, everyone was nice! I will come next year when we come watch the Jonah play at the sight and sound theater! Also, a lot of restaurants and things to see around. Not far at all, we drove here so no hassles :) thanks Lancaster Inn. P.s. You have to taste the milk during breakfast time, fresh and delicious! read more

This hotel is located in a safe area. Check-in was fast. The person at the front desk was nice. The room was in decent condition, but it had a very noticeable smell that I did not recognize. The beds were comfortable, but I noticed some blood on the duvet, and I do not think that I put it there. The breakfast in the morning did not have a large selection of food, so we skipped it. The price was moderate and less expensive than other nearby hotels. read more

The hotel does seem like you are in the middle of no where, but there is a Sheetz, Arby's, Dollar Tree, etc to pick up snacks for your room. Rooms were clean. Only issue I had was that my first room did not lock and I wouldn't have known if my nephew didn't just walk on in, but issue was rectified immediately. The Inn and Suites is not a bad place to stay for a cheaper price but I personally would pay a little more to stay somewhere nicer. You pull up and get out of your car to a nice whiff of cow manure. Although unpleasant the biggest issue I have for this hotel is the water. Girlfriend and myself were taking a shower and it got freezing cold randomly twice while showering. Then it proceeded to become scorching hot so we had to lower it. Either their water supply can not handle its demand or they have an issue with the system. The walls are more paper thin than most hotels meaning you literally hear everything (foots steps, talk form the room above you, people showering, etc.) Overall not a terrible experience but could use a lot of work and revamp. To finish, breakfast is also a bust. read more

My mom & I stayed here for opening weekend of the PA Renaissance faire, and I must say we plan to stay here again next time we come down! The rate was reasonable for a 3 night stay (booked through booking.com, did not use their faire package) and the staff was awesome! The room was nice and clean, and spacious. The bed was nice and comfortable, something I don't always find at hotels. The pool area was nice & clean with ample seating/table. The breakfast was great, there was a decent little selection of breads and cereals, wafflemakers as well as juice and other items. read more

This is a quaint little hotel that could use an update and remodel. I noticed the room was a bit musty and stuffy, wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, and the one elevator was slow. Stayed here for one night for a sports tournament nearby. The hotel was nice, quiet, and pleasant and the front desk was very nice. Rooms were clean upon arrival but outdated and smelled a bit like cow manure (probably from the dairy farm nearby). However when we found bed bugs in our luggage, our opinions changed. My stomach sank as I pulled up to this place! It's in the middle of farm country there's no denying that. Living in Vegas we are spoiled with hotels.. however after checking in and being greeted by Dominic at the front desk who could not have been any nicer or more helpful even though there was a group of us and they all were driving him nuts he was so professional. We checked in our rooms everything was immaculately clean. It might have looked a little dated but everything look brand-new. I felt very safe and content in my suite. The bed was very comfortable and the towels all brand-new. They have a full breakfast thing in the morning with tons of choices. I was very impressed I don't know if I'll ever be in Mannheim Pennsylvania again but if I am it's obvious that there is only place I would stay at!
