Came with my extended family. We also had small children. Was concerned since the reviews mostly said good for solo travelers. However this place has great rooms for families! So big and spacious for the kids to play. Majority of the staff we came in contact with also very polite and helpful. The beds were so comfortable as well. Also very clean, there were a few noticeable cracks and scrapes in the hallways and room but nothing crazy. Breakfast staff was very helpful and was constantly refilling and cleaning the space. Wished they kept the pork items separate from the non pork products in the hot food section. Always assumed Comfort Suites was a hotel with questionable quality however This place has changed my option completely and will probably be more confident booking at other Comfort franchises. read more

The Comfort Inn & Suites of Lancaster County at 3903 Abel Dr, Columbia, PA 17512 deserves NOOOOO stars. The TWO teams, from our club, that were forced to book this hotel LEFT (8 families before even spending the night there and the REST left the next morning.) EVERY. SINGLE. Family that left provided REASONS to the front desk staff of one of the following issues: pests, bed bugs, urine stains, smells of marijuana/smoke. So don't tell me that "at the time of your stay, no confirmed safety, pest, or sanitation concerns were reported to management or documented on-site". Management "wasn't available or onsite to meet or talk. We had 5 people BIT by BUGS!! They charged us ALL for the 3 days - they are CROOKS. We are fighting for a refund! You just earned yourself a visit from the Lancaster County Health Department!!!!! We will NOT let this go. We WILL get a refund and you WILL be reported!!! read more

HUGE shout out to Tyler who not only canceled our reservation the day of, because they oversold the hotel but also lied about it, throwing another employee under the bus and leaving her to clean up the mess. $300 is gone and is a fight to get back. I appreciate it, Tyler! They price gouged terribly because it was an event weekend at Spooky Nook. For the lack of cleanliness and the state of the rooms, it's not worth $200+ per night. (Was charged $300 for Saturday night and $200 for Sunday). The only positive is that it's very close to the event space so it's convenient for early call times. But next year, we'll find somewhere else unless they get their pricing under control. read more

I visited this Comfort Suites from Mar. 28 - Apr. 1st and it was a great experience. Front desk staff were courteous and professional. My room was spacious very clean. Breakfasts were excellent! I met some of the staff and they were all cheerful...The pool was very enjoyable for my son which he used 3 times. I came to visit a friend and stay at the Comfort Suites the first time. I will absolutely return again and stay at this location. I chatted with the front desk man and he was very personal. I told the manager that I was very pleased with my stay. We were excited to come for a soccer tournament. The morning to come she tested positive for COVID. I canceled the reservation, they charged a full night with no exception for COVID on a weekend they will sell the room. They would rather us come and get everyone sick than make an exception for a valid reason. We travel all the time for work, hospital, COVID and funeral accepts are standard practices. Don't stay here they wouldn't even let me talk to a manager and the owner said charge them and wouldn't speak to me. We have a whole team staying. We'll let the tournament know not to recommend this hotel as well. read more

We stayed at this location for four days. Hotel is clean and quiet. The staff is friendly, helpful and went above board during our stay. The staff made our 4 day visit! Thank You guys! Chef Bill was feeding tour bus groups of 150 breakfast everyday we were there. Chef Bill is amazing at the quality and amounts of food he produces with such a tiny kitchen is something to see. The food truck outside serves up home cooked comfort food that is awesome. I recommend the bean and ham soup awesomeness! While visiting the Lancaster area, I stayed with my 7 year old daughter, close friend and her daughter for a short overnight stay. We researched hotels high and low for an affordable last minute rate and stumbled upon reviews for this gem. We had a choice between staying on the main strip near Dutch Wonderland and the Tanger Outlets for about $50 more a night and we went with Comfort. Literally. Comfort Suites gives you the feeling of being home. A home away from home literally. The suites are designed modern, spacious and comfortable. I fell in love with this place from the details in the review. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted and we checked into our room immediately. We were in suite 311 and our floor was very quiet. Our room was equipped with a Kuerig with Coffee and Tea K cups, a mini fridge, a living area with sofa and ottomans, plush pillows and a flat screen with adjustable wall mount. With the 2 children we definitely needed a spacious hotel room and this was just perfect for us. We took the girls down to the pool for the evening where other families were enjoying a swim as well. The pool area was clean and equipped with plush towels. The girls really enjoyed them self. There was also a patio and picnic area out back. We decided to speak to the front desk staff about referrals for pizza delivery and decided on Hot Z. We ordered a pie and wings which were excellent ! Delivery was fast and we enjoyed our meal. The next morning we awoke to a extensive complimentary breakfast spread down in the dining area. Bagels, biscuits, pastries, sausage links, Hot Tea/Coffee, juice, yogurt, fresh granola, almonds, cold/ hot cereal, fresh fruit, A pancake and Waffle station were available to us. My daughter loved the pancake/ waffle station and I really enjoyed the breakfast options here. Plentiful for what you receive with your hotel stay. While in the Lancaster area I will probably always stay here. It is extremely clean and most importantly quite. My room had a view of a huge corn field and loved every minute of it. I picked this hotel to go to Spooky Nook for the USA Women's Field Hockey Games and it was walking distance, specifically right across the street. They do not have room service but there is a pretty cool family ran food truck that came by around 5pm for a couple of hours. Breakfast was included with the hotel stay and fairly standard, but no complaints here. In the evening they bake cookies that fill the hotel air. The hotel staff was really sweet, and I felt welcome as soon as I walked in. This will be my home while in Lancaster!! read more

We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights because of a family wedding. The customer service is lacking in so many ways. The people at this hotel... literally tell people they must be in their rooms by 11:00pm. We were shocked that they harassed us when we were trying to sit in the common area to talk with family we had not seen in years! They actually yelled at my 67 year old mother in-law and a 80 year old friend sitting with a couple of their siblings. ( I assure you they were not partying)We couldn't sit in the breakfast room or the sofas in front of the front desk. Not only did they do that to us but to several people who were staying at the hotel. ( this includes another group of elderly people staying at the hotel) The night we came in from the wedding we walked in and the front desk told us that we needed to be quiet ( which we weren't even talking loud) They treat their guest like children. The Pool heater wasn't working, a pipe burst in the lobby leaving water everywhere. The beds were not comfortable at all. Our Ac/ heater sounded like a jet engine... no lies a jet taking off. The WiFi was so bad your phone had a hard Time connecting wherever you were in the hotel. I will tell you the young man who was in charge of the breakfast Jose was excellent. He was courteous and helpful... constantly cleaning up after everyone. The hotel was clean in general. We will not be back to this hotel our Family deserves better! Update: DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE !!!!!!! I heard back from Choice the parent company, they said that I would be refunded in a few days. It has been 6 business days and still no refund to my card. I contacted my Bank to see if it was pending but it wasn't even attempted to be given back. Since I've tried working with Expedia and choice. I have no other choice but to file a dispute with my bank and have them go after them for the refund. This has been the worst vacation I have ever had thanks to comfort inn and suite of Manheim I urge you all to stay away they will cheat you and steel from you. Stay at your own risk read more

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It's sort of in the middle of nowhere but right off the highway so it'd be a good spot if you are passing through for a night or want to visit a few things in the area. It seems to have been recently built so everything looks pretty new and well kept. The hotel was very clean but the common areas all reeked of the scents of industrial cleaners. The room I stayed in though was spotless and not smelly. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was new and nice though it had a glass shower without a door so it was a little hard to shower without getting a lot of water on the bathroom floor. The free breakfast was pretty standard though they had some nicer upgrades like small Chobani vanilla yogurts, sliced almonds and a bountiful pile of fresh bananas. They had not awesome looking eggs and sausage patties, too. In my ideal world they would have had some bacon and a few packets plain oatmeal (rather than just the sugary stuff) but this is a free breakfast so no complaints here. The room I stayed in had a pullout sofa bed that I did not open. The sofa itself was very comfortable and clean. If traveling with a family or friends I could see this being really nice since you could sleep 4 in a king room and conceivable 6 in the rooms with 2 beds plus a sofa bed. The sales manager, Erica, was very nice when I asked her about reserving multiple rooms. I learned that they have a guest house on the property that sleeps 20 in 8 rooms with 4.5 bathrooms that they rent for weddings and events. I didn't look at the guest house but if it's consistent with the hotel I'd expect it to be nice. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I had a credit to get a free snack and drink from the little kiosk at the front desk and saw they have a nice selection of small snacks (which is good because it's not like you can run next door to a 7-Eleven or something). This was a great hotel for our family of four for vacation. We chose it because it was in between Diggerland and Hersheypark, which were our two destinations. 20 minute drive to Hershey. Clean rooms, very friendly staff. There was a field hockey tournament at Spooky Nook-there were multiple Pan-Am teams staying in the hotel. Although the athletes were loud (all in the dining area/foyer) when we first arrived, we never heard a thing when we were in our room. Everything was soundproof, even between our bathroom and sleeping area, I was able to take a shower in the morning without waking up my boys! Breakfast was pretty good for "free hotel breakfast". There was a nice selection/variety. There was a cinnamon pastry that was absolutely delicious! Only complaint was that it was higher priced than it seemed it should've been. read more

First time to this area. Here for a Basketball Tournament for our nephew. This place was worth every penny. As we checked in another gentleman was asking for a room the front desk worker informed him they was all booked she apologized offered to look other places for him. As he was leaving he said I have never had someone so polite. Our stay was nice room was very roomy / cozy, clean & smelled fresh "sometimes hotel rooms smells musty" Beds was comfortable you heard no noises from the hallway or ajoining room, water was nice and hot, water pressure was great. Breakfast was served "not the usual Stuff" at least something was served. We will stay again if in this area. This hotel definitely deserves 5 stars. read more

I liked that there was a choice of bold and flavored creamers. Just note hotel has soft water so while showering you may feel shampoo/soap doesn't wash off or feels slimy. Recently picked up a job in the region. Had a mediocre experience at another establishment during the interview process and decided to give this Comfort Inn a shot. This time, we were house shopping and I brought my wife and newborn. We stayed here for a very very reasonable price of $89 per night. We were very impressed with the upkeep and customer service. The manager was in the breakfast area each of the two mornings we were there, greeting families as they popped in. The gentleman manning the food was attentive as well. I would recommend this establishment to friends and families coming in the visit. Keep up the good work! read more

This is a newly opened Comfort Inn and it is the best we have ever stayed in. First of all, the service, beginning with the front desk, was outstanding. Everyone really went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and attractively furnished. Most important for me, the pillow top mattresses are wonderful. Each room is equipped with a fridge and microwave. There is an exercise room and an indoor pool. The location is great. It is convenient to the main roads and is adjacent to farm country. If you have kids, the hotel is down the street from the Spooky Nook complex which has a lot of great family activities. read more

However, the people at the Choice Hotels 1-800 number are very difficult to deal with. As well as the Choice Rewards program. They don't allow a husband and wife to have a joint account. They wanted me to get a new account and had no way of transferring the points we already have to a new account. Very frustrating! read more
