My nieces and nephews came up to Cincinnati this past weekend and I got some free tickets from a donor that we used. It was a lot of fun! Large floatable obstacle courses in the manmade lake that they have in the back...EVERYONE HAS to wear a lifejacket (good luck trying to find the right size)...and the lifeguards WILL yell at you even if you BARELY have your feet in the water! It's a LONG walk to the bathroom and changing area, as well as kiddie area and condensations! Overall, had a great time, but it would be a once in a blue moon visit for me...little pricey as well! read more

Nice waterpark but pretty overpriced. Expect not the average water park but a man made lake with blowup slides. It's nice to spend a day with kids, play in the water, play a game of table tennis or Minigolf. Launch chairs invite to relax along the water. They are also umbrellas for an extra charge available. So incredibly disappointed. We live about ten minutes away and have visited LOI Haunted Park several times. We have always enjoyed it, despite the exorbitant price. This is our first time visiting the Christmas Glow and Christmas Village. I got online and purchased our tickets. One price, $12 pp, and you see lights, Santa, kids rides, a petting zoo and more! Sound like a good time, right? Wrong. Apparently, the $48 we paid only allowed us to ride in our own car and look at their lights. Which, by the way, we're not worth the drive. We only found that out after waiting in line with our kids for 30 minutes to do Santa's VR Sleigh Ride. Our kids were disappointed. We were frustrated and LOI has lost our business permanently. If you have elderly, diabetes or disabled in anyway this place isn't for you.....they have one water station with 2 drinking fountains post covid....if you bring your own water or drinks even in 90+° they make u take it back...but cups are welcome ...I watched kids sneak in with full coffee cups but our unopened waters and gateraid was not allowed....then they give all 3 of us life vests and we got in the water for no longer then 45 seconds before we was yelled and and told to get out of the water....2 of the 2 life jackets they have us had broken zippers and the other had no zippers just clips but they was making us get out of the water my 76 year old diabetic disabled mom to walk back to the front of the park to exchange out there mistake we asked for them to get us one and they said get it yourself....even after we showed them it was broken they still attempted to get it to work finally admitting it was broken they say we have x5 sizes after i asked why they only had 2x...so I ask this woman why not put them out....her reply, "because we don't have to "....the same woman who claims she has diabetes as well and she don't need water or to watch her sugar and protein so we should have too....and refuse to let us speak to the owner ...said no refunds ....they make you sign a waver after downloading an app for them because there computers was broke....and they still make you have a life jacket anytime you walk in the water past your ankles ....it was hard enough to find a life jacket in there pile that hits there standard but even adults are made to do this....then they kick everyone out the pool for a safety check ...and the lifeguards start playing on it while 1 man drives around on a boat for 20 minutes....if it wasn't for Todd ...1 man ...operation manager, this place would get sued or more people would die due to these policies and doubles standards and a diabetic expert ....so many zoning and Osha issues ....I've already called on them and hope others do as well...my son is a oif combat vet and usually keeps his cools but never seen him this upset and excited ...this place is for teens and party people....not families....the woman built like a potato need fired ""Mrs diabetes isn't that serious" read more

I took my three kids here today, on a Monday, and we all had a good time. It is a great family spot and worth checking out. The water area, beach, food areas, restrooms, and changing rooms were all very clean - Good care is taken of this space. The food menus is available online and all food and beverages must be purchased on site. The Wibit area is huge and there is plenty of space for plenty of people. Lifeguards were all around, visible, and both in the water and in the beach. There is also a smaller Wibit and water area for little kids which we did not check out but could see. There was also sand volleyball, ping pong, and Corn hole available for free play and stand up paddle boards and inter tubes available for rent. There are a few things that are worth noting that aren't outlined in the website and for a first time visitor, would have been helpful to know. First, the water area shuts down a half hour before closing. While it is a bummer, I get that this allows employees to clean up and visitors to dry off and gather items to be able to leave by the 5pm closing. The water closing time wasn't clear on the website or around the facilities and, while not a big deal, would have been helpful to be aware of. The restaurant is a bit overpriced for what you get. I bought "nachos" which were a handful of tostido rounds with some cheese on the side for $8. Burgers were about $18-20 from what I could tell and a large soda was $6. The kitchen closed at least 45 minutes before closing time. I went up at about 4:15 or so to get food and was informed the kitchen was closed so they were only serving drinks, nachos, and dip n dots. Again, I get this from a management perspective and just wish it was posted somewhere. It saved me from spending more money so it all worked out and it wasn't anything that spoiled the experience. Ultimately, my kids had a great time and we'll be sure to visit again next summer as well! We'll be able to plan better for our day trip with what we know now. read more

We had a great time at this water attraction. The staff by the bar was super friendly and made good drinks. I have two recommendations for this establishment however. Our trip was cut way short because of lighting which is unfortunate because of how much it costs to come. Parking was $8, admission was $120 for a family of 5, and then drinks cost $37 with no snacks purchased. I recommend something like the option for half price admission for days that get rained out of delayed for thunder. Next, we had a group of 9 kids with us- the front bathrooms were all closed and this was not made known to us until we were all the way to the entrance area. Making the trek back up to the top for the open bathrooms was annoying- especially with hot, tired kids who had already been waiting an hour in the heat for thunder delays. Overall the place was great. A little pricey for what it was, but fun was had by all! read more

We went today which was not busy at all. Check-in was pretty flawless after two adult and 1 senior ticket 110.00. It is a long walk from entrance to food, restrooms etc like others have said. There is a start gate but after that you are pretty much on your own. You have kids going forward backwards and sideways so be prepared. the climbs woth no stairs is almost impossible for 30s- seniors in my opinion. Everything is like being on a sheet of ice. We ordered a water, coke, beer, and one hot dog and chips. 30.00. They gave us a buzzer which never went off after 45 minutes and when inquiring the person pouring our food had no idea, the woman we ordered from went and got it and sat it down in front of me and it was burnt. I asked for a refund which was not real promptly attended to but was successful after going through 3 managers. They told me they operate in about a 2 foot grill and on a non busy day it's pretty bad. We left after refund and they called everyone out for safety check. This seems to me to be a pretty dangerous place to be honest and my local water park and pool is much better as far as Im concerned. I got to experience it. The lines are RIDICULOUSLY long so by the time we got in didnt have time to see half. The concessions people not wearing masks and lines werent social distancing. Now the holiday lights... it's a drive thru display. They charge per person..no senior or military discounts but they have the audacity to have a military section in the light display. That really offended us ... plus u like the Middletown display at Smith park ... u cant go around a second time. The smith park display is donation. So if you have a large family and cant afford this ... Smith park is just 10 minutes away. One of my favorite summertime water park spots! My friends and I come every summer since we've discovered this place and it's such a gem, I'm surprised more people in Cincinnati don't know about it. It's never been too crowded, always ample chairs for laying out, the inflatables look like they'd be easy-ish to conquer but always leave us giggling, slipping, sliding, falling and exhausted, in the best way! We're all early to mid twenties and it's such a great way to experience the joys the just being again. The food is on the pricier side, but there's a variety and it's not hard to sneak in a few snacks if you're really pressed about saving money or you can always keep a cooler in your car and go out to the parking lot for lunch and come back in! read more

My niece said "today was an 11 out of 10 day!" I've been to several of these water parks over the years and this one definitely puts their best foot forward. This aqua park is for all ages. They even have a section for toddlers with its own lifeguard. This one has the first toddler water park I've seen. The beach area is massive with plenty of chairs, palapas, and some reserved cabanas. Huge bar area with park wide music going all day. I've seen the floatation play items improve over the years with stronger supports, step up ladders and less places to get scratched. I saw the lifeguards inspect all items and serviced them as needed. My group of five left pretty unscathed minus an occasional scratch against some exposed Velcro . The water is fresh water and is dyed a light blue. The sand floor was not entirely algae free but didn't care. Did not see extensive algae build up under the floatation devices like you see at other parks. Paddleboards were available for rent as well as volleyball courts and other games. Very Covid friendly. You can easily stay away from other guests. read more

Security is a joke. Sending me back to the car due to my setting a small pocket knife (that has been allowed I multiple venues). Then a cursory inspection with a cheap metal detector that did not do a good torso scan? Just waist,torso and arms. If the company want to be secure,l and it allow weapons ( including a pocket knife with less than a two inch blade) I support them. I do not support security theater which is an inconvenience to all but does not reduce risk at all. Do better. Also. Was there early in the season and bought fast passes with our admission. Nothing like waiting in a rather empty parking on average 15 to 20 minutes with the price we paid I would go to this site again if I wanted to hang with my friend, carry cash for overpriced beers, and PAY FOR PARKING! Yes. This place is cash only ( which is rather weird due to their security measures, lacking as they are). Hard pass for me from now on. I am glad I spoke with Brian tonight. We will not be paying the 660$ for the year round explorer pass. Even though their website says people may carry in necessary items for a medical condition, Brian told me I cannot bring in a container of water to have on hand for possible emergency dehydration and glucose drops. I felt shamed and belittled as he told me people put hard liquor in outside containers. I do not drink alcohol with diabetes mellitus as it further dehydrates me. He wants me to pay 3$ for bottled water. I cannot take the chance of waiting in line with the possibility of passing out. I would also need to bring no carb, no sugar food such as protein bars as I cannot eat the highly processed high carb high sugar junk food sold there. This is a reason I pack a cooler for work and do not eat the junk food at the truck stops. He told me dietary food for my condition cannot be brought in. I then spoke to Kings Island and was told I may bring whatever I need to for my medical condition recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Diabetes is on their list of recognized disabilities. Kings Island will be receiving a payment from me and my wife to relax and enjoy ourselves. Another thing which chased me away from supporting Land of Illusion is the lack of compassion for people with a disability. If they are militant and authoritarian over a medical disability what other types of abuses would we have to endure? I went ahead and spent 2400$ for 2 gold passes with a lot of addons for my wife and I. Land of Illusion just lost 660$ read more

We made an impromptu decision to visit the Aqua Adventure. Tickets would have cost a few dollars less if we purchased them online even with the service charge. It wasn't too busy at all and all 4 of us had a blast! (10y.o, 8 y.o. And two grownups) make sure that you are energized and ready for this action filled obstacle course. The locker room area was clean. It would be nice if they had showers for afterwards, but we had such a blast that it was worth every penny. This is definitely a hidden gem. read more

Never ever spend a dime of your money here. I went with my friends here over the weekend and prepaid not only entry tickets but their add on package. When we got there it had been raining and walked up to check in. We were told that because of thunder and lightning they will keep closing every 15 minutes and it wouldn't be worth it to go. I explained that I wanted a refund of my money as I spent over $140 on tickets for something I wouldn't be able to enjoy and I was told to sell my tickets to someone else. however, my tickets are tied to my name and I signed the waiver also tied to my name. So we got back in the car and I tried to call someone else who might understand that I am from CT and will not be out there again by the time they close. They told me the same thing and we hung up. Just as I was typing up a bad review on google, they called back just to double down and get extremely rude and combative. I have never experienced such disrespectful people before in my life. This place is an absolute shit show for customer service and my experience was not the only bad experience that day either. They proceeded to get lit up with more and more bad reviews that same day. So much for the owner actually giving a shit and reaching out to try and save his business, but instead choose to save his incompetent workers that don't have a nice bone in their body. read more

This haunted house is rated number 1 in ohio, it simply just doesn't meet the requirements to be scary...each house has maybe a total of 4-5 workers, there is more props then actors in each house. The environment is very different, almost like people are there to stand around in peoples way and drink then they are to go through the houses. not to mention it was 490 dollars for a group to get in with just the general admission, not worth the money!! would save your time and go to a haunted house like face your fears, or the haunted hoochie. read more

So this is the best thing that I have been to in Ohio for Halloween fun... It was much better with the Zombie Sniper Patrol. You paid an extra fee and took a ride in a giant military transport truck ( open aired) there were mounted paintball guns that you shot at real people dressed in protective gear but made to look like zombies. It was awesome... The place is a little stale these days but still the best thing around. They made a big mistake getting rid of the sniper thing. We might not go this year because of it... If you haven't been. You should go though. It's good the first time for sure. read more

I used to go every year since the first year they opened, but stopped after my guardian and I reported a scare actor for inappropriate sexual comments and was told they couldn't do anything other than warn him not to make those comments. All the lines are incredibly long, at least 2+ hours even with fast pass. Ever since 2015 or so the park has focused on maximizing revenue rather than improving the haunts. Not to mention the attempt at a waterpark where a child passed and they continued business as usual. This entire attraction is also not ADA compliant and offers zero accommodations for disabilities. read more

I am baffled, heard so many good things about this place to have the staff and policies about this park ruin it all within the first 10 min in the property. We dro ve about 45min to the park, we went there around 2200 and we were aware that they close at 0200 so we expected to have some time. As we arrived we noticed that they wanted to park us sort of fat from the main parking lot and charged us 5 dollars to park in a grass field. I did not like that as at the time we came as we walked we saw that there were parking spots closer to the park and we had not been given the chance to choose our parking spot. The charging was a huge surprise to me and a bad one, their website posted that there is a charge, however their website is so chaotic and badly organized that is very easily missed the info about the charging in the park. Now at the box office, they offered us a free ticket to come back in couple of days or we get a 5 dollar discount for military discount, the reasonable the free to let is because of the time we arrived, they could not guarantee we would be able to get in all the attractions. We took the risk as we drove so far, we paid the ticket and got in. As we came in the vibe was pretty good. They had a dubstep DJ spinning and they also have a bar and several haunted houses around. We started to go into the houses as we did want to make it into all of them. The lines were long for sure, the wait was bearable, we managed to see all haunted houses in the time. The thing that bothered me was that the DJ stoped playing at midnight which is fine generally but since the place was 2 hours away from closing without the DJ it all felt like they were ready to kick everyone out already. It was just a feeling cause we still managed to get in the last house like 3 min before the park closes and the actors were super gracious aboit it and let us in. Once we started to leave we noticed that the bathrooms were locked and we had to use por a potty outside that have no lights! So make sure to use the bathroom inside the park if possible before the park closes. That experience was not too great. My overall impression was ok, the houses are pretty good, but the outside of the houses was a bit lacking in organization and customer satisfaction. Nickel and dime you for everything. Like other said, they close a half hour ahead of time and we didn't even get there until a couple hours before closing. No wonder it wasn't crowded. Seven dollars to park. The prices we saw I guess were only if you bought them online so when I got there, I was going to order them online because it was supposed to be so much cheaper but they charge a four dollar service fee per charge. crazy. We (including 9 and 10-year-olds) had a great time at the water park! We did not look at the toddler area, but I think some kids too old for the toddler area but younger than maybe 7, could struggle a bit if they don't have an adult with them. This is mostly because of the older kids / teens just being themselves and having fun on the obstacles. Some of my observations and reasons for the star deduction: - The gate and online prices are about the same, once the online price adds a $5 fee at checkout. But compared to 2-hour admission to indoor trampoline places, it's not bad for the full day. - When lightning is in the area, everyone is out of the water. Makes sense, but no refunds. These summer popup thunderstorms cut our trip short, but we had a good 4 hours there. - $8 parking fee - EVERYONE needs a life jacket in the water. Bring your own or borrow one for free. - Lots of lounge chairs but if you want a shaded area you will need to pay for it. - Food and beverages are pricey. $7 for a tiny Dippin Dot container and I think $3 for a bottle of water. The line to order was slooooow. - They check bags on the way in for food and snacks. They do not allow plastic water bottles from the outside but do allow reusable water bottles like Stanleys. They say it cuts down on people leaving their trash on the beach. read more

Went here for their Christmas Glow light show. It's makes for a really cute date night idea. Me and my girlfriend went here and drove through all of the lights, which I thought was really cool. But apparently there is an option to get 3D glasses to make the viewing experience so much cooler, that we didn't even know about until after the fact. I would not recommend, if you personally follow the guidelines for Ohio, then just don't go. Not a single employee even made an attempt at a mask. It was as if the rule didn't apply to their employees, it was odd. At one point, there was no lifeguard anywhere, not on the stand and not in the water park part. Aqua park is fine. If you want something to eat or drink good luck. You'll pay through the nose to eat. They could easily serve alcohol and regular drinks from separate area but I just wanted 2 waters and had to wait behind people getting cocktails that take forever to make. There was only one girl serving while 2 guys and another girl were doing absolutely nothing and another register sat empty. Finally just walked in the side where I wasn't supposed to be and asked for a cup and filled it from the water fountain. Went to land of illusion last night for the first time and had a blast. One of the workers told us that attendance was down like 50% which was great for us because we got to do 4 of the attractions. The trail was definitely the best, no huge scares, but fun. The houses are done really well but, with the exception of the tower of terror, they need more actors! There was a long time in the clown one and the other one (entrance is a mouth) until anyone jumped out at us. Was a little disappointed we caught up halfway on the trail with people in front of us and a group caught up behind us. When our group was alone it was definitely better... need to time that out better especially when the line isn't long. I will say if this place had been really busy I would have been disappointed... but the lack of crowd and the sheer awesomeness of the inside of this place made it worth the price. read more

Me and my daughter went tonight. Not a good experience. First of all we had to park in a giant grassy field across the street and hike like half a mile in the cold just to get to the place! And still pay $5 to park!!!! We got there at 10 pm. So if u don't get there early when they first open you have to park far away in the field. The field was like two football fields maybe bigger and was covered in mounds and piles of cut grass that u have to walk thru which got all over our shoes. Like seriously it looked like they let the grass grow like jungle length before they decided to mow it..... and then u have massive mounds and mounds of cut jungle grass everywhere and as ur walking thru it u feel ur feet just kicking grass all over the place with every step..... Parking should be free for the people who have to park in the field and take a hike!!! That's a pretty far walk to have to still pay $5! Only the people that park close by in the parking lot should have to pay, and $5 is pretty steep tbh. Maybe $2-$3 would be ok. So I spent $162 for two fast passes which are $80 a person. $162 and that's even with a discount code but there's an added service fee if u pay online so ended up still being $162. With the fast passes we still stood in line for 40 minutes for the trail! 40 minutes and that's for the fast pass line!!!! And I was super disappointed in the trail cuz they put us in with a big group of people so we were at the back of the line and didn't get any of the scares because the huge group in front of us were getting all the scares. They are also using wayyy too much fog. There are several parts where the "scare" is in the fact that u can't see sh*t or see where you are going. That gets old tho maybe just do one scene with it but to keep doing it gets old and frankly it's annoying. And it slows down the line cuz nobody is moving cuz they can't see where they are going. I noticed they will have one or two scare actors follow behind each group to make sure everyone makes it thru ok which I appreciated at the fog parts cuz they had to help guide everybody. We didn't even get to do the killer clown house cuz there was a long standstill line for fast pass there too. Then they were out of hot dogs at the concession stand as well as other things too. Honestly their trail is good but it's not worth $162 for 2 people. I'm not sure it's worth the cheapest ticket which is $55 after you have to park in a grassy field and hike it to get there and still pay $5 for parking! And then not be scared at all cuz ur in the back of the line and all the people in front of you are getting the scares! It's funny cuz we went to another haunt where parking is free and I asked the guy how much is parking and he made a joke and said "this isn't land of illusion, parking is free here" and I get it now!!! They really need to open back up on Thursdays like they used to do to help alleviate the crowd on fridays and saturdays. Cuz right now they are only open Friday/Saturday so the crowd is massive. I would consider going back maybe if they would be open on Thursdays. But honestly after tonight I don't know if I'll ever go back again. read more

This is probably one of the best haunted attractions in the area. It's comparable to Kings Island's gaunt attraction. The are 6 attractions. One being full of strobes and blackness. Many animatronics are throughout. There's one where you ride through on a military vehicle shooting targets with paintball guns with the option to buy more ammo for $5. There's eye protection there. There's one scene you can actually shoot at people who are just standing there. There's a trail to walk through with many scenes. One of the houses has scary clowns fluorescent colors are everywhere and you get 3D glasses to wear. There's one house where there's a lot of murder. We went on a Friday and got the 6 attraction pack for $49 and $5 parking. It took 4 hours to get through all of them and to grab a quick bite. There are 5 places inside for food and drinks. The lines are set up to be much longer than what we waited in. We were more than half way through the lines when we started. If you're at the back of the line, you might wanna buy a fast pass. There's a ton of kids thee and a lot of smokers. I hate the smell of pot and it's everywhere to. Managment apologized for the inconvenience, but it's just weed. They had a bunch of security at the beginning. There's a stage with a DJ which is cool. Lots of alcohol options. It looked like they've got a full bar. It's a fun time for all. read more
