Horrible Experience - Dishonest and Rude at Volvo White Plains…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. My car was towed here because I always took my Volvo to the dealer, but this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I originally called and was told a ballpark price of about $300 for a battery. When I finally managed to tow the car in, they sent me an outrageous estimate for $11,342 - with the battery alone at $628! They also claimed the alternator was bad and added a list of typical items like tires and brakes, but nothing major. When I tried to get clarity, I called multiple times and even texted. Helene, the service advisor, never returned my calls or texts. Completely unprofessional and rude. On top of that, they charged me $280 just for giving me the estimate--nothing was repaired, nothing was fixed. When I came with the tow truck to pick up my car, I was treated poorly yet again. And here's the worst part: when AAA came to help with the tow, their technician ran proper tests on the alternator (the dealer never showed me any test results). The alternator is perfectly fine. Exactly what I suspected--it was only the battery. The AAA technician retested multiple times and confirmed it. So Volvo White Plains tried to upsell me thousands of dollars in unnecessary work, lied about the alternator, refused to communicate, and then charged me almost $300 for the "privilege" of being scammed. In short: Dishonest, rude, and predatory. Do yourself a favor--avoid this dealership at all costs.

Non-existent is a better term. Eli personally took my phone call after a windshield wiper insert I purchased from him did not fit one of the wiper blades on my 2018 Lexus ES350. He immediately took ownership of the problem, did not cast blame elsewhere, and sent a new blade to my home in Florida. I have utilized Ray Catena Lexus for decades prior to retiring. He was helpful throughout the process, explaining that Lexus no longer manufactures the insert for the older wiper blades. He communicated by phone, text and email, and made it his goal to solve the issue. I could not be happier. If you need genuine Lexus parts, visit the Parts Department at Ray Catena Lexus of White Plains.

I was in the area waiting for a call from my service personnel and never received one. He said he called me twice and left a voicemail and assumed that I declined whatever tire work that needed to be done. But I never got the calls and never got the voicemail. Besides that, I drove home and the next morning, my car would not start. Called AAA and they had to come jump the battery. The battery cap was open, it was clearly drained during the service and clearly jumped by the dealership, but no one communicated that to me. Given that I drive a hybrid, and it was a short distance home, I never had the chance to charge up the battery. This led to a delay in going to work the next morning. Both experiences unfortunately led to an unpleasant impression and I am not sure who to reach out to for such concerns. I feel like customers should be communicated to when their battery is drained during service knowing that it's a hybrid vehicle.
