Each person that has come to our home has been pleasant and appears technically sound. In January of this year one of our units, of almost 20years, went toes up and needed replacing. The install went well and we had heat upstairs again. They even cleaned up the debris and attic floor. Fast forward to this week. My 10 mo old grandson and daughter were visiting and the upstairs thermostat where they stay went dead as a doornail as they were heading up for the night (8 pm-ish). After calling the thermostat company I called CF and spoke to a dispatcher, within 30 minutes a tech, Bobby, called and gave me some troubleshooting tips. I had already checked all the breakers. I decided not to lug the vacuum cleaner upstairs to the attic nor down into the crawlspace to unclog the drain pipes and potentially get it back online. Bobby offered to put in a service call for the next day, it would have been after 11 pm before he could have gotten here. The kids spent the night on the couch on the lower level where it was cooler. The next day I had a service call set up. As luck would have it, Bobby was my technician so he already knew what was going on. This was the first time the unit had really been put through the paces for cooling as outside temperatures rose. Bobby C. kept me informed throughout the process, indicated it was a warranty service call, so no charge! He educated me on the problem, his planned resolution and what to do should it occur again. Told me to expect it either over the weekend or on the Monday. No quote was forthcoming. I followed up 3 times over the next few weeks to try and get the quote. Finally, to give one last opportunity before I wrote a review, I called 2 weeks ago and was told the technician would call me back that day. Not surprisingly I heard nothing. I can only assume that the tech is assuming this job isn't worth his time as he'll make more elsewhere. Really wanted it to work out with these guys. I know a couple of guys who know the owner/manager and they have alot of good things to say about him. Unfortunately I can't even get a quote.

I am in the industry (Though not a licensed repair technician) and my initial troubleshooting was right on track (per Brad) but he found the actual issue pretty quickly, all while explaining some of the nuances here in NC to me and things that are different than back home (tips to keep things running smooth and lower house humidity.) - the issue turned out to be a pretty simple one, and the price for the service call was VERY reasonable. Being in the industry (on the commercial side) I've seen some things and BP's pricing was more than fair. Would absolutely call again if and when I have the need.

Started calling places but no one could come out for several days. Quality Comfort said they could be here in 2 hours and they were! Turned out to be a frozen condensate line (you'll remember it was 19 degrees last Christmas morning). Andrew also adjusted other issues that were out of spec (e.g. gas pressure) and spent about an hour going over the system. Total cost to come out on Christmas day? $279 which i think is a bargain.
