It was already late in the day, but I found QP Plumbing and messaged them and they were able to have a plumber out early the next morning. Leo was the plumber who visited and he did a lot of troubleshooting: first with a plunger, then an auger, then removing the toilet to inspect the trap and the drain pipe. In the end, we determined that the toilet should be replaced because of its age, and Leo took care of buying a new toilet, installing it, and hauling the old one away. He recommended a toilet that's elongated and slightly higher, which was a great option for our elderly parents with reduced mobility. Leo also replaced the wax ring and flange bolts and caulked the new toilet well. He took the time to do the job right, and the price was quite reasonable. We do not know anything about plumbing, so we did not question the additional cost. We had to trust the techs providing the service. We requested a refund and the company offered $4,000.00. We feel that given the cost, we are warranted a higher refund. The company refused. Although the owner states that options were given to my mother, they were not. I, (daughter), was there at the time of the tech's explanation of the work and so was my cousin. The tech spoke to my mother in Spanish, my cousin speaks and understands Spanish, and she also stands firm that no options were given to my mother regarding the option of hydrojetting and liner. If there were options my mother would have chosen the lesser cost. We are very upset with the dishonesty of this company.
