This happened around 6am, I reached out at 8:30am, and Kyle arrived at 10:30am. Our technician, Kyle, was incredible. He drew clear diagrams to help me understand exactly why a snake couldn't clear it. He quickly provided an estimate to replace the fitting with a modern bullhorn design to eliminate future issues, and also noticed our downstairs toilet wax ring needed replacement. While I initially considered replacing the wax ring myself after researching it, I am so glad I left it to the professionals. The toilet weighed nearly 100 lbs and the floor bolts were severely rusted. Kyle gracefully applied a discount to the overall package that helped soften the blow. The best part was the incredible timeline: he provided the estimate and got the entire job done the SAME DAY. In a house with four people and no running water, this rapid response was an absolute lifesaver. Kyle began the work immediately and was very respectful of our property. Initially the request was to clear a clogged drain...youh boy, it quickly turned into a much bigger project. The pipes in the upstairs bathroom were clogged so bad that they needed to be replaced and descaled. And then there was the broken flange in the downstairs bathroom...anyway...four days of work. Plumbing truck #37 driver was texting or watching something on his cellphone so intently that he swerved into my lane on Holt Blvd. Scraped my vehicle, and took off on a side street after I honked at him to pull over. I got a picture of the truck just before it took off and the damages to mine. Sent damage estimate to them and nothing. Ghosted me after I sent the estimate for repairs ignoring my calls, text or emails. Cost is under my deductible so it's not worth using my insurance. I really appreciated working with Erin--he grew up in my neighborhood and still lives nearby. Having owned my home for a couple of decades, I've had more than a few bad experiences with contractors, but Erin took the time to explain what was going on and immediately put me at ease. Unlike other companies that charge just to run a camera down the line, High Speed Plumbing didn't. They showed me exactly what was happening and explained it clearly. There was a $10,000 miscommunication that I'm currently in debt for. The work that needed to get done was multilayered and explained using technical language that I kinda understood. There were things added and removed on the invoice, discounts were applied and I thought I was paying $25,000 but in actuality it was $35,000. Ouch. I'll take some of the blame, after all the negotiating was done, they handed me an iPad that required my signature and in good faith I signed what I thought was a $25,000 contract. There was no walking me through what I was signing or any further explanation. I only realized the job was $35,000 after all the work was done and I had to pay them. I didn't have $35,000. Hopefully yelpers can learn from my mistake, and hopefully these guys explain their invoices better before placing an iPad in front of someone. The majority of the work that they did was underground so I'm hoping it works out but the work that we could see above ground was pretty sloppy. They left epoxy fingerprints on our new gate. The area where they patched up the concrete on the ground looks wonky and out of alignment. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, they're probably better at plumbing, their finishing work isn't clean I would recommend using someone else. read more

My tech Victor came out and upon inspection gave me a detailed explanation of several potential root causes and corresponding solutions. Seems like the previous homeowner just got a handyman to do a mediocre job and Victor gave me several options.
