RACIST EXPERIENCE - Dior at Macy's Downtown Chicago…read more December 23, 2025 | around 6:00 PM This was one of the most racist and humiliating retail experiences I have ever had. On December 23, 2025 around 6 PM, I visited the Dior counter at Macy's downtown Chicago. I traveled from Virginia specifically to shop at this location and went alone to buy a Christmas gift for my sister. I politely asked for recommendations about Dior liquid foundation, highlighter, and gift sets. The older sales associate treated me with clear disrespect from the start. She avoided eye contact, made me wait about five minutes just to answer a simple question, and refused to clearly explain products or prices. Her attitude made it obvious that she did not want to help me. Because of this, I decided to leave and go to Chanel. What happened next crossed the line completely. The same sales associate followed me and said there was someone named Karina in the back corner who "speaks Asian language." This comment was openly racist. She never asked if I needed language assistance, never asked where I am from, and instead assumed I could not speak English based solely on my Asian appearance. I am a college student, and I speak English fluently. There is no such thing as "Asian language." Asia is a continent with many cultures and languages. Reducing all Asians to one language is ignorant, offensive, and racist. This was not a misunderstanding. This was racial profiling. I felt judged, insulted, and humiliated in a public space. No customer--especially in a so-called luxury brand like Dior--should ever be treated this way. The fact that someone with this mindset is working in customer service is unacceptable. Dior and Macy's should be ashamed to allow this behavior. This employee clearly lacks basic cultural awareness, professionalism, and respect. Immediate disciplinary action and mandatory diversity training are necessary. I will never return to this Dior counter, and I strongly warn others--especially people of color--to be cautious. Racism should never be tolerated, especially in 2025.

Went to the back to check stock twice. Gave great recommendations!! Upon check out I went hunting for my partner, who to both of our surprises found some great under armor golf shirts! He's a 2x tall so finding these in store is hard!! We quickly snatched up 6 and got $50 kohls cash!! I will be back sometime this week to pick up another shirt! Store felts a bit picked over. But I'm assuming it was due to a rush from the long holiday weekend.

All there clothes are really cheap because the clothes they sale are defective. You have to be careful what you buy because you may get the size u wear but when u get home it's way to small this has happened numerous time . They do have a dressing room. And the clothes from FM do not last long I can pretty much say everything I have bought from here has ripped or came apart especially the underwear and shirts the jeans are alright though. I'm in Foreman Mills with about $200 or more in my cart. I watched an employee go in front of me to use the restroom for another employee to tell me it's out of order. When I asked for a manager I was told their public restroom is not for the public. I left . I'll just shop some place else. Marshall's make the Ross next door look like a dumb. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. When customers see that workers value where they work then customers will value where they shop. I hope they keep that same mentality.
