Don't use LandLabor. If it was possible to provide negative stars I would. I reached out for quotes to prune a large tree in front of our house that drops a lot of debris and annoys the HOA apparently. Yelp is great in that they send out to several businesses for response. I received a quote from Landlabor and scheduled for the following Tuesday between 9-12pm. On Tuesday I reached out for confirmation of arrival only to be told they were stuck at the dumps and wasn't sure if they could make it and could come out tomorrow (now today). I messaged an agreed that today was fine. After not receiving a response until much later the business owner Benjamin says sorry my phone died (seriously???) Today is Wednesday and I tracked down the business phone number, called and had to leave a voicemail. Called back an hour later, Benjamin picked up and said he had to reach out to the new hires (???) to check on ETA and would call me right back. Twenty minutes later I received a text message saying they couldn't do the job. No offer of alternative or explanation. They are not proactive. You have to chase them down for response. DON'T USE LANDLABOR. BAD BUSINESS. read more

I found these guys through Yelp and submitted a request for a quote for a palm tree trimming job. The reply was fast, and their quote was reasonably priced, beating all other competitors. They did a fantastic job, and cleaned up all the debris generated by the trimming. And on top of their professionalism they are very courteous and easy going. Thankful to LandLabor's team for such a great experience. I moved into my house a year and a half ago and my poor tree could not withstand the strong winds coming from the mountain. It finally fell over after multiple companies coming out to restake this tree. Ben responded with a quote within 10 minutes posting a request. He came out the same day and removed my tree. Please be careful when considering to hire Ben for the job. I've used several businesses on Yelp to take care of my property from flooring to home cleaning to landscape. Because I'm not in town, they've all been accommodating to providing verification that the job is completed with pictures and communication when they get there and leave followed by an invoice. It's been awesome! That changed when using LandLabor's services. I contacted him letting him know I would not be in town and if it's possible to send before/after pictures verifying the work was done. He agreed without hesitation, said my yard would be looking beautiful etc. So to this point things were great and to this point I believed it would be a smooth transaction like the many others have been. That all changed when he got in touch saying the work was complete. I've attached pictures of the majority of our message thread for other Yelpers and potential customers to get the gist. He sent one picture of partial work and gave me the run around before admitting he didn't do what he said he was going to do. Then he proceeded to send me the invoice literally 20 times. He'd also message me wavering from forget about the payment, to he's holding all the trash, to he forgives me to finally sticking to dumping trash on my property. It's a bit manic and unsettling. I let him know I'd notify neighborhood watch to be on the lookout for him and the police would be called for illegal dumping and trespassing. He didn't care and continued to harass me instead of being reasonable and level-headed. Granted I probably engaged more than I should have. I paid the bill even though there's still no evidence of him doing all the areas he committed to. But with people like this, it's sometimes easier to be done with them than to pursue what's right. It's very sad that it came to this. Had I been present for the work I don't think any of this would have transpired and I would have never been exposed to how unstable this person is. Next time I'll stick to my regular guys at Affordable Tree Service whom I never had a problem with. Unfortunately, this time I was short on time before the next tenant moved in and thought I'd be safe with LandLabor which had an immediate opening. I'll use a lot more caution next time. read more

Benjamin replied immediately to my post when I was looking for service to trim and prune a tree. The price he quoted was very competitive and had hours the next day to perform the work. He showed up 30 minutes before the scheduled time and started. He told me everything he was going to do and had the job complete in less than 45 minutes. He cleaned the entire area and took all the trimmings with no extra charge (like some companies do). The tree looks great and even has some top and shape to it.
