If you're anxious about going places this review is for you! I went here almost every day that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was showing & I'm so glad I did! When you're on Binney St. you'll see a bar/restaurant called Ernest Drinks and that's your cue to turn towards it to walk all the way down that pathway to the glass doors of the theater. When you first walk inside the double doors the snack counter will be to your left. To buy or show your tickets head straight down to that random looking podium to the staff person there so they can tell you what theater and seat is yours. Each theater has a giant, lit up sign with its number on it so you know which one is yours. When you go inside you'll see on the floor that each row is labeled with a letter & each seat has a giant number sticker, so it's very easy to find your spot. There's also pretty bright lighting on the floor around the perimeter of the theater so if it's dark when you go in you can still find your seat. The seats don't recline all the way back with a footrest, but they're pretty comfortable. To recline your seat press on the large round button on the inside of your chair by where the outside of your thigh will be when you are sitting down. I found the seats to be plus sized friendly unless you're above a size 26, then I don't think the seats would work for you. The AC was not very strong (in my opinion) when I went so also take that into consideration. To access the bathrooms you can either take that short flight of stairs near the ticket taker to the left of the podium or you can go back to that giant staircase by the front door. I'm pretty sure there is also an elevator by the podium. The bathrooms were very clean despite how terrifying they looked. There is an outdoor seating area that I think is meant for everyone, not just people waiting to see a movie. There are plenty of chairs and tables and the times I sat out there I saw other random people doing the same, so I feel like it's a safe bet to say you can chill out there. Overall the cinema is clean, spacious, and staffed by extremely kind and friendly faces. I asked a million silly questions my first time there and everyone I talked to was very helpful and nonjudgmental. I'll include pictures of the seating labels and the outdoor seating area. The last thing I'll say is that the soft pretzel with a side of cheese is the perfect snack from here.

Went to see the infamous BARBIE movie here and was surprisingly & pleasantly impressed by this theatre. I am NOT a movie person at all, but as someone who's only been to AMC in Somerville by Assembly and the one in Downtown Boston, I was pleasantly surprised! The reclining chairs were really comfortable! The movie theatre was also pretty clean, and although the bathrooms are on the second floor, they were ok-ish in terms of cleanliness. Obviously the lines get super long after the movie ends but that's like everywhere. The popcorn was also good from here haha!

Love that it has great concessions: you can get local beer and wine! In addition, the movie theater has an international movies: we saw a Telugu movie here - Love Story! The seats recline, parking is available, and overall can also apply student discount. Recommend.

First showing is at $11/person, otherwise regular is at $13/person

My family saw an 8 pm show on Saturday March 29th. A rat was running up and down the aisle during the show. We will never be going back.

Ask the Community - Landmark Kendall Square Cinema

    Are backpacks allowed inside?

    Hi Jason, yes they are.

I love the updated seats! When I was there last month, I didn't think that they reclined but a few of the reviews mentioned they do recline. Is that true?

Hi Diane, thanks for the compliment! We have certain theatres outfitted with full recliners and others without. When purchasing your tickets online it will be notated within the "amenities" section on the ticket buying page.

Most recently we saw the C's and sat in the Garden Society - the seats were great and the food was good too. The bathrooms were clean and for once the line was on the men's side. The drink offerings are pretty solid - we didn't get mixed drinks, just beer and cider. I love how they have Downeast on draft. Be prepared to spend more than you're used to - you know how it is, that's how they do it. I was impressed by the giant cookies they had. We tried a peanut butter one and although it was a bit on the sweeter side, we loved it. We didn't get any other food but saw they had a lot to choose from. The giant pizza slices looked good to me. They have lots of memorabilia along the walls and that was fun to check out. All in all, can't wait to be back for another C's game next season!

I am still angry enough weeks later to come back and write this review because the way TD Garden…read morehandled this was ridiculous. First, the bag policy. Apparently customers are just supposed to magically know about it. My wife and I bought tickets for the TWICE concert about a week before, and nowhere on the ticket site was this made clear in a way that actually helped us. We only found out after arriving that only bags under a certain size are allowed inside. If your bag is too big, you have to go downstairs to bag check and pay $15 for them to hold it. So not only are you inconvenienced, you also get charged extra because TD Garden could not be bothered to clearly warn people ahead of time. If we had known, we would have left the bag in the car. Simple. What made it much worse was security. I do not know if they work for TD Garden or some outside company, but they were some of the rudest, most useless people I have dealt with in a long time. From the second we got there, they had attitude. Instead of acting professional and helping people, they looked more interested in flirting, acting cool, and doing the bare minimum. They stopped us because of my wife's bag. My wife is pregnant, so she had important things in it that she needed. Instead of explaining anything clearly, all they kept saying was, "Your bag is too big, go downstairs." That was it. No real directions, no patience, no help. Since it was our first time there, we asked where exactly to go. Same answer: "Just go downstairs." We ended up following other confused people to find the bag check area. That made it obvious this was not just us. A lot of people clearly had no idea about this policy either. Honestly, it started feeling like a scam. So many people show up unaware, get sent downstairs, and suddenly have to pay $15. That should have been clearly stated before people even bought tickets. Then came the worst part: getting the bag back. After the concert, every single person who checked a bag had to go to one single bag claim area. One. For an entire event. So now you have one huge crowded line of tired, frustrated people all trying to get their stuff back at the same time. Whoever thought that was a good system should be embarrassed. My wife is pregnant. She could not stand in that packed line that long, especially with nowhere to sit. There were no chairs, no sitting area, no accommodation, nothing. Just a crowded mess. And because it was only the two of us, I was not about to leave my pregnant wife standing there alone while I ran around trying to fix it. So we explained the situation to security and told them clearly that my wife is pregnant and could not stand in that line like that. Their response? "Get back in line." No concern, no solution, no basic decency. Just "get back in line." One guard told me they could not help. The guard my wife spoke to laughed in her face. Laughed. That was the point where this stopped being an inconvenience and became disgusting. The only reason this got resolved at all was because another person near the front of the line was kind enough to get our bags for us. A complete stranger showed us more compassion than the entire security staff. To that person, thank you again. We are still incredibly grateful. That is why TD Garden gets one star. If you are going to have a strict bag policy, clearly warn people before they arrive. And if you are going to force people into bag check, then at least have a better system and some basic accommodations for people who physically cannot stand in a long crowded line. Most of all, hire better security, because the people working that night were rude, dismissive, immature, and completely unhelpful.
