I called Landpro Landscape Services to repair several stations of our 14 station irrigation system (we have a large yard). They send a technician and he started working right away on it without ever giving me an estimate of what the whole thing would cost. My mistake to not have demanded an initial estimate. The technician worked for several hours that first day. He said he had to leave for another job but that he would come back on a later date for "an hour or two" of the needed extra work. We then paid a bill for $800 for that first day ($120/h of labor). The second day he worked for 5-6 hours, and he got increasingly frustrated because he claimed things kept braking. We then paid a second bill of $700 for this second day. He said he needed to come back a third day with another guy as it was very hard for him to do it alone. I asked and was told that the hourly rate for 2 guys is $180 per hour, and I cancelled. So after paying $1,500 I had a completely non operational system: 7 out of the 14 stations were not working at all or had leaks that needed to be repaired. The beds were not properly watered. It was a disaster and I feel scammed. I did email Chris, the owner, to complain but he didn't even take the time to write back. read more

This was for a new install for both turf and drip irrigation. Chris was very responsive from giving a quote to final inspection. Lionel and his team put in the new system in 1 1/2 days. I was able to add a rain sensor and mulch to all the landscaped beds to the project once they started the work without any problem and a reasonable price. I questioned coverage to two ivy beds once the work was completed and they came out the next day with taller pop up heads - no questions asked. Warranty on parts and labor for 2 years. This last summer I had the need to get a pipe repaired that was pierced during some landscaping work. It was a late Friday afternoon and over the phone they helped me find and shut off the water for just the sprinklers, avoiding having to shut off the house water. Not a company I want on my property. Three men showed up to give a quote. I walked them around my yard. They asked if there was any irrigation needed behind the house. I said yes. Then, two of them walked off without saying anything to me. I stood with the remaining guy for a moment. I felt uncomfortable about one of the guys who walked off so I went to go follow him. He walked out of my tenants backyard and then right in front of me, he sorted and hawked a giant loogie on my driveway. Then, I noticed I got a text from my tenant in the back who had the windows to her backyard open and had stepped out of the shower to see these two men in her yard. She was understandably very upset! I looked up and saw the loogie guy had walked off again. I called out and said, "Where are you guys?" They were basically swarming all over my property at this point. I found them in my backyard. I said to them, "Hey guys, I'm sorry but you can't go in to that yard without telling me. I have tenants back there." The loogie guy said, "I'm not here to peep on anyone." and proceeded to tell me that his trespassing was not a problem. Whether "loogie pro" wants to accept it or not, my tenants do have a lease and they have a right to their privacy. One of the other guys looked totally shocked by his coworker's trashy response. I told them that response was not acceptable and said it was time to leave. And that was that. Absolutely horrible experience. Imagine how they would have responded if anything went wrong with the job. Maybe they are pros at land and irrigation. But the job is about more than just knowing how to put a sprinkler in the ground. I also need someone who will not get me sued. Beyond that, it would be nice if they were not extremely rude. Unfortunately, these guys do not meet the minimum bar for a human I want to voluntarily interact with let alone pay. I wouldn't call them for any job, unless I need loogies hawked on my driveway or I want to piss off my tenants and get sued. He did that like an absolute pro! read more

We hired them to replace our sprinkler head that had been knocked off. I talked to Chris on the phone to make the appointment. When his "guy" showed up on Saturday he asked me what I needed him to do. I said just replace my sprinkler head in the FRONT yard that has been knocked off. I hear a knock at the door and the guy said I need you to come take a look at this. I walked to the SIDE of my house and see a huge hole. Now remember the sprinkler head is in my FRONT yard not my SIDE yard. He tells me he has found a leak. He points to a pipe that has been CUT into. I said we have not had any issue with water standing here and on top of that our water bill has not gone up. My next door neighbor came outside and the guy asked him if he has seen any standing water in this area and my neighbor even said no, never! Very suspicious, don't you think? He was in an area that had nothing to do with what I hired him to do. I said does this have anything to do with why my sprinkler head in the front yard came off. He said oh no this has nothing to do with that. I have never had anyone work on anything around my house without permission. If he thought he found a problem he should have told me and asked me if I wanted him to fix it. I never asked him to go looking for problems. I hired him to replace my sprinkler head. If anything else was going to be done I should have been notified. I contacted The owner Chris. He didn't want to take any responsibility. He must be a crook just like his "guy" working for him. All I know is I paid him almost $300 for a problem that did NOT EXISIT until his "guy" came digging in our yard. Worse than Terrible. Cost me HUNDREDS of dollars in wasted water. I paid $85.50 for a "Comprehensive Sprinkler System Tune-Up" through Angie's List I have an existing irrigation system that is about 20 years old that works, but has leaks in it - so I keep it turned off at the source (otherwise my water bill doubles from a leak somewhere). The irrigation guy came out. I explained to the guy that I needed an evaluation and recommendation for repairs - in other words, an "estimate for repairs" ... something that is usually free. I was prepared to spend at least $1,000 on the system, and an estimate is usually considered a "cost of doing business". I figured that by going with a well regarded company and paying for the estimate would produce a better result. Bad idea. He looked at the electrical connection and promptly stated that "everything was wrong", that it couldn't possibly work, he didn't understand how it was done, and that he had never seen something set up in such a fashion. Trust me, the sprinkler zones all turn on. I've been living here for 10 years and for 8 of those years, I used the system regularly. He spent most of his time freaking out over a small wasp nest about the size of a quarter above the garage door and ended up going to Home Depot to buy a can of insect spray. Unbeknownst to me, he turned the main irrigation water valves ON (I told him that I keep them turned OFF because the there is a leak) and HE DIDN'T CLOSE THEM when he left. I only discovered that he did that after a couple months of CRAZY water bills. All my hard-earned money was leaking out into the dirt. Thank you Landpro. Hundreds of dollars. Oh, he left most of the underground wiring boxes uncovered to boot. And here's the kicker - he NEVER got back to me with an estimate or plan of action for repairs. NOTHING. Stay away. We have had an extremely bad experience with LandPro. We hired them to do a major project (tree removal, concrete demolition, filling in a pond, irrigation, plant installation, etc) and it has been a disaster from the very beginning. Extremely poor communication and owner management - its nearly impossible to reach them and they don't care or listen when you do. I had to chase the project manager almost daily and a project that I was told would take 5-10 days remains unfinished and riddled with problems today, nearly 2 months later. They left the site a mess. We have sprinklers watering the driveway and empty flower beds. Large portions of the lawn that were to be sodded are huge piles of mud or standing water. The owner has told me that he considers the project complete. I wish I had read the other reviews on here before going with this company because this is obviously not an isolated incident. I will echo the other sentiments - steer clear of this company, save your time, money and grief and go with someone with reliable that honors their commitments. read more
