If i didn't purchase my bike at the other shop. I would of probably purchase it here. I highly recommend to give this shop a chance before you make your final decision on a bike. The place where I purchase my bike didn't get a chance to adjust the bike to fit to me. Landry's associate was very nice enough to adjust it for me. He adjusted the handle bars and the seat to help properly position myself. They where very knowledgeable and helpful even when they knew I was not going to purchase anything that day. I had a great experience at Landry's. Last year I signed up for my first sprint-distance triathlon, then realized I didn't own a bike. Oops. I went to Landry's and ended up being helped by manager Mark Grey. He understood that I was on a budget and needed to start from scratch, since I had no equipment. We picked out a model I liked and Mark found the same model from the previous year, which allowed me to buy it for less. He had me come in a few times to make sure the bike was fitted to my frame and taught me basics about posture and hand position on the bike (as well as how to clip in and out of pedals!). He also found me some inexpensive, discontinued shoes they had in the back and a helmet too. All in all, I was fully outfitted at minimum cost, learned a lot, and now have a bike I LOVE. Landry's is awesome! Every time I go in, there is always someone there to greet me and help me with my bike woes. I took my bike in today to have a flat fixed...they fixed my flat and tweaked my gears for a very reasonable price. They are always super friendly and happy to help. Other bike shops in the area have an obnoxious bike snob attitude, but not Landry's. What's more, I mentioned to the guy there that I need to learn how to fix my own flats and he informed me they offer flat fixing tutorials every first Thursday of the month for free. These guys are the big behemoths of bikes in the area. As such, you get the privilege of high prices and mediocre service. They nickel and dime you for everything. While other shops will not charge service fees for small repairs of parts that you purchased there these guys charge for everything. That is assuming you can find someone to help you. Plenty of other smaller shops in the area which offer lower prices in better service. read more

Bough a roadmaster bike from wal-mart $99 piece of crap, i took the bike to landry's to see if they can make the bike better they did the best they could but like i said the bike is a crap so i return it went to toys r us bough a schwinn verano, based on there low rating and reviews gave it a try 1st day of riding wasn't bad but had to adjust brakes and seat pretty often also rear wheel bearing wasn't good. before returning it i went back to landry's... Mark Gray is an awesome guy he replied to my emails and also called me i stopped at the shop and explained my situation he didn't want to lose me as a customer he took all the time possible i tested 2 TREK Verve 2 bikes one faster without suspension and the other with front suspension in which i fell in-love with i told him I'LL TAKE IT! but i wanted to bigger size as a 15 is just a little small they didn't have a 17.5 i shop Mark contacted the delivery and bough it in same day i went home very happy after picking it up. Everyone I spoke to told me Landry's was the place to go for cycle shoes. I came in on a Tuesday afternoon. I ended up walking in the door to the shop where there were about 6 guys standing around chatting. No one bothered to greet me- they stared at me and went back to their conversation. I walked over to the retail side and no one was over there either. I browsed around for about 5 min and still didn't see any staff so I walked back over to the shop side to ask for some help. I said excuse me and no one bothered to stop their conversation even though they were looking right at me. Totally fine if they were with a customer (I couldn't tell) but after being totally ignored I walked straight past them and out. I'll go get shoes at REI where at least I know I'll receive good customer service. read more

Just left Landrys after buying a bike for my 6yo son (Trek MT60) and a bike for myself (Trek X-Caliber 8). I had the pleasure of working with Erik. He was a wealth of knowledge and extremely helpful. He has great recommendations and had plenty of information to explain his suggestions. He was very patient with my son and I and made sure he adjusted the bikes for both of us until perfect. That included sawing the seat post on my sons bike to lower the seat as well as switching the saddle out on my bike. He have very practical useful advice while being honest and open. I recently decided to stop hanging things off my road bike and invest in a triathlon bike. Started with a fitting with Mike and loved the position that he found. He is also very creative in problem solving positional issues with spacers, inserts, etc. and not just high cost components. Fitting service was so good I wen t back to re-visit my road bike. If you want a good quality bike and staff that are helpful and knowledgable, this is the place to go. The men there are very knowledgable about what type of bike will best fit your lifestyle. Each will work with you to determine a good fit and make sure you are also comfortable (seat height, handle bars, etc) on the bike you choose before you leave. We were recommended to Landry's by Fast Splits in Newton because they did not have a bike in my size in stock. Landry's did seem to have a lot of bikes and it would have been nice to try a few. However, when I explained to the staff member that I was looking for a road bike and this was the first I was ever buying in order to begin competing in triathlons, he quickly nodded and went off to the stock room. Upon return he said that he couldn't really help me and that I should instead go ahead and get sized by their fitting experts...for a mere $200. With that, he handed me a card, told me to call because they were booked up for two weeks and went back to laughing and carrying on with the other staffers. I was a devout customer of a small, "Performance"-oriented, "Boutique" bike shop .... until recently. I was in the market for a bike and being on the smallish side, fit can be an issue. Upon the recommendation of a friend, I went to Landry's and met with Andy Palmgren. Prior to actually going into the store, I had numerous converstaions on the phone with Landry's about approaches for the bike, (complete/build), and other questions as this was the first bike I have had of this type (Cyclocross). Andy spent at least 2 hours with my husband and I, measuring, fitting and selecting a frame and related items including a discussion around cleats, tires, and shoes. He was extremely patient and did not have the typical "I'm a pro-racer" attitude that is prevalent in bike shops. The bike I settled on was not one in-stock and he worked very hard, personally to find the bike, track it down, secure it and have it delivered to the Natick store. But wait, it get's better. Andy did a superior bike fit - really, the best I've had. And, I've had multiple bike fits previously from those renowned for performance fits. Anyway, I felt Andy took a great deal of care in understanding not only the measurments of my body, but flexibility, pedal stroke, style and of course medical history. He literally straightened the angle of my pedal stroke by adjusting the insoles of my shoes. The fit took about 2 hours and involved readjustment of headset, shoes/cleats, seat position, and lots of other intracies. Additionally, Andy was extremely knowledgable not just about cyclocross (and time trialing), but also about doing a Women's specific fit. I've had numerous compliments on my fit, I feel like I'm drawing great power and feel super-comfy which is a definite contributor to feeling confident with bike handling. Landry's is great. I purchased my first new bicycle in 15 years there. They only carry first class products so the prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. The custom fitting by Spencer resulted in a bicycle that fits like a glove- not easy when dealing with someone with a hip and knee replacement. I cannot say enough good things about the team at Landry's in Natick, MA. They are extremely knowledgeable, very helpful, and have provided me with excellent customer service every time I have gone in to buy something or get my bike serviced. Not only have I bought a bike for myself there, but I've also bought several of my kids' bikes from them over the years (they even helped my daughter when she was learning to ride a bike!). They are also super nice and have provided me with invaluable help over the last several years. I started riding in the Pan Mass Challenge several years ago, and I have to say, the team at Landry's has been a key source of support, in terms of getting me appropriately geared and also providing me with very helpful tips in my training. I would like to give a special shout out to Mike L., who helped me with my bike fit and set me up with the perfect new road bike last year and essentially gave me key coaching tips as I trained. I did the 2-day PMC ride for the first time this year and Mike was instrumental in helping me get ready for it in terms of my gear and also with his support and encouragement. The Landry's team also fixed my bike at the end of Day 1 of this year's PMC when my gears stopped working after a fall and subsequent damage to my derailleur. They fixed the problem and my bike was in perfect shape for Day 2 of the PMC with all its hills (yes the hills of Truro!). We came here to pick up a bike for my wife which we reserved at the Boston location. It was a Sunday afternoon and the store was very busy but people made sure to ask if we needed any help even after someone was already working with us! We also needed a rack, bag, stand, and lock and the person helping us took the time to explain the options without rushing us even though the store was closing in 30 minutes. We picked out a helmet, explored a little bit, and out comes Wifey's bike looking fresh with everything attached!
