Visited the store today and everyone working was super nice! The selection was great and they had a massive last chance section with awesome prices. I was greeted and while I can't say if they greeted every person specifically, the workers were all easy to find, available, and happy to help answer questions. As someone who prefers to shop alone and in peace, I appreciated that I had the time and comfort to do so, while still having workers available for questions. If you ask for help they are happy to assist. I even saw one worker who was walking around with a customer helping them. read more

I have contemplated driving over an hour to go to your store so I read all of your terrible customer service reviews. In over a year Land's End did not correct the problem so that poor reviews about the same complaint continue and have not been resolved? Your replies have only paid lip service with nice words. Why should I waste my gas? It's not the same company I had come to love! When I had a mastectomy 33 years ago and wanted a swim suit for post surgery therapy, Land's End promised a fit for every body type. There were NO mastectomy suits for that body type in the catalog. I called Land's End on it and by the next summer there was an entire mastectomy product line. That's responsive!!! read more

So I bought a vest, my normal size, huge. Returned it. Lost 8.00 on return. Had the next size down sent, too big. Now to send it back I'm down 16.00. So I contemplated returning it to the store. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon. Three employees saw me but continued to talk about their weekend plans. There were a lot of customers in for a summer Sunday. Not one employee asked if anyone needed help. I came in for a bathing suit and they had a decent selection. I used the Lands End website for assistance about the products I was looking at for feedback, which was very helpful since there were reviews. I was in the store for 45 minutes and still not one person said hello to anyone walking in or asked if anyone needed help, what a disgrace. A simple hello and let us know if you need any help would have sufficed. This is my third summer shopping here and I find the customer service lacks. Is this the way of retail service or Lands End? I don't know but I will certainly not have expectations any longer for this store. 2 stars because the bathing suit selection was decent. read more

I returned a men's jacket (a classic squall type - typically around $80) due to a broken zipper. I received the jacket as a gift so I did not have a receipt, but was told that I will get merchandise credit for the value of the jacket. The store employee wasn't sure of the value, so they sent it to the factory for a determination. Well today I got my merchandise credit: $5.00. So now you know, a Land's End jacket is worth less than a cup of coffee. If you decide to buy from Land's End, keep in mind that they do not stand behind their products. read more

Walked into the store to ask a question , Kathleen the sales person did not hide in her attitude or her facial expression that I was annoying her when I asked what time the store closed . It's not the first time that the sales people are rude or totally ignore the customers . read more

I bought a pair of pants in store for $40. Washed and wore them. I liked them so I went online to buy another pair - only to find out that they were on sale for $20! That's a BIG price difference! So I rebought the same pants along with another color. Went to this store to return the brand new (exactly the same) pants with the first receipt. They were getting back exactly what they sold me. I left them in the online packaging so the store workers could see that they were brand new. I had the in store receipt and the in store tag. The worker refused to take the return back with my first receipt. She said she had to use the online tag. She said I should go home and get the pants that I already wore and bring those in to return instead! I said - How about we just take these pants out of the online packaging and you pretend that you didn't see it? I could go outside and throw away the online packaging and come back in with the brand new pants and tag to return. She was arguing with me that they were losing money and she couldn't do it. But I was returning brand new pants with a receipt that I used to purchase those exact pants! Finally, she elevated it to the assistant manager and the manager accepted my return. What ever happened to doing what you need to in order to keep the customer happy? I was happy that I finally got taken care of but I had to fight with them for 15 minutes about it first. I certainly won't be shopping at that store ever again. Gets an F for customer service from me. read more
