Most of his crew has been with him for a while now and in this line of work where employee churn is a reality, that's saying something. His office provides good estimates, though they can sometimes be less detailed than I like (we're working on that). The main thing is that the estimates are accurate. After they finished installing them they left without asking if it looked okay. When I went out to check their work, it wasn't even 10% similar to how I had requested them to lay it out. I called the owner who requested the workers to come back. Once they did they were very annoyed and short with me on what it was I wanted. I drew out a picture of exactly how they were laid out the first time and they said they understood and would fix it. They then did ask me to check their work, which was still completely wrong and nothing like the picture. They asked what was wrong and I explained again while reviewing the picture yet again, then I went back in the house. They proceeded to pack up their tools and leave without fixing at all. I was still charged almost a thousand dollars for something that was never done correctly and I had to completely dig up and replant myself.

I got NO reply. I would never hired him at $1000.00 for this small area. I would not recommend him to anyone. Bad quality work!

They pointed out that the problem was that my existing gutters in the back were not wide enough to handle the runoff when we get a decent rainfall. My experience with leaf filters is that the gutters need to be twice as wide as open gutters to handle the the same amount of water flow. And I have a question for you; Have you ever tried to clean out gutters that have leaf filters? Leaves are not the only things that get in there! Much easier to clean out the gutters after the first rain of the season when they are wide enough and open for cleaning. When my Brother's Gutters installers took down the narrow gutters in back, they replaced some fungus damaged trim with pre-treated fascia before installing the new, wider channels. They cleaned out the rest of my gutters and downspouts, tested everything to make sure they were properly tilted, cleaned everything up, and then sent me pictures of the completed work. After they finished the gutters, they installed a diverter on the roof-line of the front porch to protect the entry during rainfall. Excellent inspection, great advice, quality materials, good craftsmanship and affordable price. They did ALL of this while I was out of state on a business trip.
