Do NOT hire. They have no idea what they are doing. Welt's drastic cutting of the shrubs along the fence has undone years of careful maintenance and growth. These shrubs had matured and provided a pleasant atmosphere for residents who enjoy sitting outside. Despite my repeated requests for the shrubs to remain intact and not to be cut down, they were severely cut back for no clear reason, leaving gaps and poorly shaped plants. And the front yard used to have grass and slowly has become just dirt. Using grass seed on bare dirt without sufficient watering has worsened the situation, creating more dirt patches and uneven ground. They also service another condo up the street and they are just a mud pit now. See photo. read more

This is not a "landscaper" business by any stretch. They are not qualified to be called landscaper and as a consumer you need to go in eyes wide open. I hired Moritz to simply do yard clean up. I instructed him to be VERY careful with my existing plants, and I further instructed him to not touch or trim anything as I would do that myself. Clearly, listening and then following said specific instructions, didn't come with the territory. When inadequate clean up was done initially, Moritz proceeded to come in himself and blast my plants with a blower. Years old Tree peony were severely damaged. A Newly planted lilac splintered. And, hostas no match. Not only that, he severely cut back a grape vine, as well as two other plants that he had been instructed to simply NOT TOUCH. Upon my request, Moritz did meet with me. He also flat out acknowledged his butchering ways with a shrug and a, "you're right,", and then proceed to tell me HE WOULDN'T CHARGE ME for such "work"! Moritz then QUIT because he said he needed to focus on more profitable accounts. To say I am unhappy is an understatement. Irreparable damage by a company is what happened. Then, the proposed remedy was to "not charge" me for $200 worth of "work," which by the looks of the pictures was beyond sub standard in the first place, and ultimately worth a lot more than $200! That is not ok, and that is not good business. Buyer beware. read more

I would highly recommend this company. Moritz quickly responded and was thorough with his quote and clear of what my expectations were so there wouldn't be a misunderstanding. He said what he can and cannot do. I like that he did his best to make sure we were all on the same page. His worker, Alex came to assess the area and came back to do the job within a few weeks. I reached out to Moritz to schedule a time for him to come by and take a look at my lawn. We set a day and a time. He and I even confirmed the day of, just a few hours prior to him coming out. Not only did he never bother to show up, he never even showed me the least bit of courtesy to let me know. Never sent a follow up. Never tried to reschedule. Never showed any bit of customer service whatsoever. Now, I fully understand if one gets busy. But ghosting a customer and never even bothering to simply give a courtesy heads up that you need to reschedule is simply rude. This was our second time using Mortiz's company. The first time was to remove tons of vines from our home and the second was to removed vines from our detached garage. We've been very pleased both times. The company workers did an excellent job both times. Moritz always responds quickly and the work is done in a timely manner. I contacted Moritz on yelp for de-weeding my yard at 9pm and he responded in few minutes. At 9:05pm I called him and he sent out the crew the next day at a time convenient to me. The crew did a very good job. The yard and the alley looks very clean and all of the weeds and ivy are up-rooted. The crew also knew which ones are weed and which ones are plants which will bloom in the spring. The price is also reasonable and so I gave them the job on the spot.
