I went to Lane Bryant because I needed some sort of pants other than sweat pants for my son's graduation. Sweats have been my typical attire for the last 7 months because I'm still recovering from a brain injury and it makes it easier to dress myself especially when I have bad cognitive days. I walk in and to my surprise I'm not greeted, acknowledged, or helped. I spent over an hour fumbling through clothing and trying to figure out my size because I've gained weight. Determined to find at least a pair of pants I continue with my pursuit. Initially I thought maybe they don't see me, but the more people walked into the store the more I could hear and see Marycellys and the other associate interactions with other customers. The other associate was on the register (not one of the two on the floor), which rendered her incapable of helping me. I noticed how they briskly walked to other customers to greet and help them. The only assistance I received was when I checked out. This experience was like none of the other experiences I've had shopping at the Newport News location and I typically do seasonal hauls. It makes me wonder why I spend so much money in a store when the associates can't bother to do something as little as address a client, which is a part of their job description. read more
