One of my favorite spots for healthy food, and I'm not even a vegetarian. You can orders sides of protein like eggs or falafels (chick peas or garbanzo beans). My favorite meal so far: the Curry Quinoa bowl (I don't fancy curry much, but this dish is savory, packed with flavor and nutrients). My favorite drink so far: the Turmeric Almond Latte (perfect balance of flavors). What I love: wide vegetarian menu selection (with protein sides like eggs or falafels!), freshness and high quality ingredients, ingredients packed with vitamins and nutrients--so much green, yellow, purples like spinach, or purple cabbage (I eat with my eyes first) balance of flavors in dishes, efficiency and design/layout/order processing, customer loyalty program (Clover app), free WiFi, lots of outdoor and decent amount of indoor seating, welcoming decor and design, positive words of affirmation written in frames or the wall-hung industrial brown paper, compostable/recyclable take-out utensils/containers, serve-yourself water, restroom has a wall for flyers which is great and how I found a meditation consultant whom I've seen twice already), attentive staff (the girls have always been friendly and welcoming), ample parking in the back lot or street parking, big sign visible from the street even if the entrance is in the back of the building. What I don't love: When I sit outside sometimes a bee buzzes around me and I'm sure it's because my food looks and smells amazing (happened to me twice, and I noticed a bee bothering other customers the other day). And trying to figure out how to mix their salads in their to-go bowls (the salads are beautifully packed in there but not much buffer room to mix a salad with some dressing). Not big issues by any means :-) The staff is so attentive and i frequent here so much, that I'm only visiting and one of the girls had already recognized me as one of the customers who comes here to "work" on my laptop. I've recommended Laney & Lu to friends and purchased gift cards for them. Excited to try every single thing on the menu, like trying the dishes out in a wrap. I definitely plan to return, and rack up those points on Clover. read more

The muffins were gf and df but since they don't make them there weren't able to answer ingredient question. I appreciate the honesty but would love to find out so I can try them! When I think about "yoga food" I think about big portions of beautiful and bright produce, mounds of hearty grains, and extraordinary flavor profiles. After a couple hours at the Wild Vibes festival, I was happy to see that Laney & Lu were one of the two food vendors. I didn't know them before this, but after experiencing them there I'm an instant fangirl. Despite the heat, humidity, and pop-up eatery conditions, the two women working were gracious, patient, friendly, encouraging, efficient... they were part of what sold me. While the offerings were limited at outdoor music, arts, and yoga festival, I don't feel like I was left wanting (nor do I feel like I broke the bank)! I mean for I think around $16, I got: + Almond Miso Kale Chips: served in a cone made from their menu (very clever), these were some of the best kale chips I had ever eaten. Dehydrated just right (not too moist, and not crumbly dry), they were packed full of flavor. I could eat these all day, every day. + Colorful Curry Bowl (curry-infused quinoa, spinach, carrots, red + yellow pepper, purple cabbage, green onions, avocado, almond-miso sauce, Thai-spiced cashews, and sesame seeds): this is exactly the kind of stuff I want to eat during or after yoga. Scratch that. This is exactly the kind of stuff I want to eat every night of the week. It's simple enough ingredients, yet why can't I make bowls like this at home? What magic am I missing? I don't know, but Laney & Lu create these to perfection. This is EXACTLY what vegetarian and vegan food should always look like, taste like, be like. + Hibiscus Tea Latte (iced green tea, hibiscus, maqui berry powder, ginger root, doTERRA lavender essential oil, maple syrup, almond milk): I am SO NOT a floral lover. I am SO NOT a tea latte drinker... but this was one of the most delicious concoctions I have ever had. Everything was balanced, nothing was overpowering. I hope the rivers of heaven taste like this. I haven't been to their brick and mortar in Exeter, but after my experience at Wild Vibes I now want to try everything on their menu: I know without a doubt I will love it all.
