Lang is exceptional because of their commitment to customer service and same day glass repair guarantee: must be brought in before 9AM. In my particular situation, since I didn't bring the window in before 9, they could not guarantee that my window would be fixed that day; however, due to my situation, the staff pulled off a small miracle of sorts and I was told to pick it up by 3PM that same afternoon. In 2004, we replaced all 17 windows of our house with Lang Exterior series 1600. They have been great windows. The only problem has been deterioration and separation of the weather strip on the bottom of the lower sash. I brought pictures of the drooping weatherstrip to the store and they provided replacement weatherstrip at no charge. It is not hard to replace. I had lang exterior windows installed nine years ago and the bubble seal on the south and east windows had deteriorated due to the extensive exposure to the sun. I brought the windows to Lang windows on 59th st. today and they replaced the seals at no charge after 9 years. while I was there I was helped by their extremely courteous office personnel, 2 ladies and one young gentleman. I was treated with great respect and they were extremely helpful in helping me to solve my problem. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to replace windows in their home. I just moved into a house that has fairly new (2007) all Lang Exterior windows. All the windows have a good quality look and operate perfectly, except for just one slider window that had an issue locking. I was concerned about it, especially with a string of burglaries going on around the area I live in. I called Lang Exterior, and was pleasantly surprised how responsive they were. I spoke to Sue and Mike. These folks were super friendly and went out of their way to troubleshoot the issue and help me. They sent Darius the very next morning to fix the issue--and he fixed it within minutes! These windows are awesome. They look great, are high-quality, easily slide when unlocked, and are double pane, which gives me a sense of security--and really seals out the noise--which is especially awesome since I live on a corner lot of a really busy street! In 2013 we gut rehabbed our home. Everything down to the windows needed replacement. Lang was recommended to us by our contractor. We had every single window and sliding door in our town house custom measured and ordered from Lang. From start to finish they have been accommodating. We had to choose an exterior color to match the rest of the windows on our town home group. They provided me with vinyl sampled to take home. The windows are efficient and high quality and we are very happy with them. Fast forward to 2017 - our contractor (who installed the doors) did not install the latch for the screen doors. One call and Beth, who is at the 59th St location was able to help me almost immediately! I emailed her a copy of the invoice and she was able to locate and send the parts we needed the very next day. Customer service at both the Pulaski and 59th St locations has been top notch. I have never encountered worst customer service anywhere. They failed to charge me the final payment prior to shipping the windows. When they did contact me I told them I was out of town and would get them the authorization upon my return. They charged my account without the authorization, and 4 days earlier than we agreed. When I called to express my frustration the owner/office manager accused me of lying and of stealing windows. I agree with the other review. These people are insulting. They are rude, disorganized, and dishonest. Avoid them. read more
