I went there three mornings in a row recently while staying next to Sesame Place. There aren't that many good coffee shops near the hotel I was staying at except for this gem! So I went everyday. Langhorne Coffee House is truly a special spot. Located in downtown Langhorne the parking is limited and only street parking available. Right as I walked in they made me feel special. They have a full kitchen menu along with all kinds of coffee drinks and pastries. I got their breakfast sandwich and it was really delicious. The service was what made this place truly special. We are from out of town and was looking for a breakfast place. This is a cute little place with seating for about 20 inside. Looks like there may be some outdoor seating on warmer days. It offers small town charm, a vast menu, and kind service. After an early morning dentist appointment, I was looking for a tasty, non-fast food breakfast option and decided to stop at Langhorne Coffee House. It's been ages since my last visit - like at least 3 years - so I was eager to remember. It was a chilly morning, and with the street construction, outdoor dining was out of the question. Inside is cozy, but quite small. I was able to snag a table, but there were folks who came in after me who had a short wait before they could be seated. Of course, they encourage all patrons to sip coffee while they wait. If you were to stop on a busy day, you might be waiting a while. They do, however, offer takeout and pick-up. I opted for a simple breakfast of toast, banana, and scrambled eggs. The side of bacon was $3, but it was more than worth it. I washed it down with water and decaf coffee, and was in and out in about 25 minutes. The staff was very nice, though hinted to other customers that they had overstayed their welcome. Because of the limited space and tables, patrons are encouraged to stay no longer than an hour. That's to say, if you're looking for the traditional coffee house experience of hours of endless scrolling, sipping, and free wifi - this is not the place for you. There's plentiful surrounding street parking, and there is a parking lot in the back. There are two small steps required to enter, so it is not fully accessible from the main entrance - I'm unsure if it's accessible from other entry points. This is an unfortunate downside of historic buildings. read more

Cute small coffee house lined with local artist's paintings; they have coffee beans for sale from the local roasters down the street too The menu for breakfast brunch items and coffee/tea is quite impressive. Not too long or too short, gives a list of the usual plus some extra special ones such as creme brûlée latte. I got the Cali half toast with eggs and salsa on top; something that reminds me of SoCal so much, it tasted beyond my expectation. The texture is perfect and it didn't take long for it to cook. We went here for coffee two days in a row. The first day was pleasant. Today the beanied lady at the counter (probably the owner or manager, no name tag) was very grumpy and cold to us. No smile, no appreciation for our business. We just wanted special coffees, which she upcharged us smirkily. We were forced to get a larger size and the drink was $2 more than Starbucks. While her lovely servers prepared the 3 drinks, she turned away, ignoring us. The $9 drink was too sweet and didn't include the ice that made the drink a medium instead of a small. We will take our business elsewhere. read more

Walked in, was not greeted with a hello or anything other than "how many?" I said a table of 5 please, the rude blonde girl tells me she won't let us sit down until the 5th person arrives. I said ok, he is parking and will be right in (as the other 4 of us including 2 small kids are standing there.) Since there was only one table left I asked, "if another table walks in you will sit them at this table first?" She said "yup" and starts to walk away. I said ok, we are leaving. As I go to leave with my family, the blonde AND brunette, start yelling after my family and I "thats what it's like everywhere!!!" I turned around in disbelief that as Im leaving they are yelling after me and said "actually its not" and as someone in the service industry for 12+ years, it's absolutely not like that everywhere. Then the 2 rude counter girls & cooks are then outside smoking their cigarettes in front of the business YELLING at my 65 year old mother how miserable she is as we are looking for somewhere else to go. this places used to fantastic but has unfortunately changed for the worse under new ownership in the past few years food-wise it's mostly the same and hasnt changed too much but of course they had to switch to La Colombe coffee which every place in philly uses... they used to use covered bridge coffee roasters which was SO good and a bucks county business - definitely wish they would switch back! service wise i find that a few of the wait staff are so unfriendly and look straight out miserable. i don't need someone overly friendly but they make you feel annoying for coming there - very strange ambiance wise, they have definitely gone downhill in terms of cleanliness and charm. they used to play really cool music and now i go in there and they're playing club music at 8AM. it's not a good vibe at all. they also used to have such a cozier and cuter decor. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The way the manager (i'm assuming, the lady with the bandana on, today July 4th) treats the customer and her staff is abhorrent. She gave major attitude when we first walked in and said oh i'm not taking your order and just walks away. A nice girl took our order and when giving me the proper change back, she didn't have the 64¢, the manager came over and was so mean and condescending to her worker, we were speechless. She then announced for her workers to do something and cut herself off to say ya know what I'll just do it like I do everything. If you take your coffee with a side of nasty and a spoonful of attitude, stop in. No need for details, but we are regular customers and are shocked and disappointed by how poorly we were treated by staff, to the degree that we won't be returning. If it were one person, I'd chalk to up to a bad day, but they all supported each other's rudeness. We came in due to the great reviews and quite possibly it may be the phases of the moon or something in the air, perhaps just a bad day; but LCH staff was annoyed to be there and even more so to wait on people. We came for breakfast, there were signs EVERYWHERE to WAIT to be seated - and they were annoyed to even do that. Coffee and tea are self-serve and welcomed to as many refills as you choose, however beware a basic glass of tap water will COST you here - 25 cents. We ordered and our food was basic at best. Lackluster in spice & flavor. 3 meals 3 drinks and two 25 cent waters later the waitress came to our table asking to be paid - no ticket, no receipt, just a total (perhaps to hide the fact they are charging 25 cents for tap water?) When we asked for a bill she was annoyed, (yet again) with a sigh printed one and walked away. We paid and will unlikely return, a shame since we are always looking for fresh local small business to add to our rotation. I find it rather odd that the front counter boasts a sign to be kind, however LCH must also understand that you get what you give and we were barely given the time of day here. Sad. read more

Horrible service. Got seated. Menus 15 minutes no service. Customers came in after us- waited on. Decided to leave. As leaving server came over.. we told her we were leaving because no one had come after waiting so long. She cursed and cursed.. and then said "don't forget to trip on the way out" I do apologize for sounding off to the you woman whom I thought was the manager. She had seated us and gave us menus. Longhorns Coffee House is so cute! The inside is pretty small with just about 6-8 tables, but they also offer a few outdoor tables as well. The staff were very friendly, and they clearly love getting to know their customers. I started with the panda latte and it was delicious! I thought it was going to be really sweet (and possibly too sweet), but it was so yummy! The chocolate chip pancakes and bacon were good - nothing special, but I wasn't looking for anything groundbreaking since these are basic breakfast foods. Overall, a solid breakfast place with personable staff. If we're in the area again, I'll absolutely go back! read more

Decided to stop in after an early morning appointment canceled on me. Sooooo glad I came in! I've been here before...dine in and take out, but today I was able to really appreciate all that Langhorne Coffee House has to offer. I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in and immediately seated. I ordered the Snickers Latte (hot), a short stack of pancakes, and a side of bacon. The coffee was great, the pancakes had crispy edges , but the playlist was just the extra I needed! Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Maxwell, Alicia Keys, Zhane' were just a few of the artists I heard and it just made for a great start to my day!!! The vibe was so good, I almost forgot I needed to head into the office! I asked the owner where did she get the playlist and she said it was her personal playlist...I LOVE IT!!! I'm going to have to start coming by more often so I can kick off my day with great coffee and a pep in my step!!! read more

I loved the small town feel here. The service was very friendly and the wait wasn't too long. I was impressed with the variety of coffee options they had available. I got the ultimate veggie omelet and was very happy with my choice. I love mushrooms and was happy to get some every bite or two amongst the other assortment of veggies. This restaurant does not know about customer service. I dined solo and was seated at the corner table which has a vent under the table with continual air conditioning. When the waitress came over, I asked her if there was something they could do and she said, "we can shut it off, cover the vent or you could move over to the next table". I moved to the next table and she said, "I am so glad you chose that because when we shut it off, the cooks get really hot"....they then sat the next customer who came in solo at that same table. I asked the waitress if the ham and turkey were deli meats or roasted. She asked in the back and said only deli. I ordered and asked for the fruit instead of the potatoes and bread. She then went through the list and I could not hear the last 2 items she mentioned, so I asked her to repeat it. She told me I was really making it difficult for her. So I asked for the blueberries and strawberries at which point she said, no, you could only choose one. I asked her why I couldn't have 1/2 and 1/2. She told me if she has to ask another question, she may get fired. ?????She then went to ask the "manager" at which point, I see ALL of the WORKERS staring at me and whispering. I then took my drink to the counter and said I would like to pay for it and cancel my order. The waitress took the drink out of my hand and poured it down the drain even though I said I would like a to go cup! The Manager said we aren't charging you for anything and you could leave. WOW! REALLY? I would NEVER go here!!!! They are so incredibly rude! They should not be in the HOSPITALITY business, they do not know the first thing about customer service. read more

We stopped in here the other day after taking the kids to the Langhorne library. It felt really great to sit in this laid back cafe. It had a distinctly offbeat, almost European vibe, which is special considering that most area restaurants and chains look and feel very generic. We both went with omelettes and they were great. The food was tasty, properly cooked and served quickly. I also liked the coffee alot and they offered free refills to boot, which was nice. The staff was very friendly as well and couldn't do enough to help. I'm definitely going to put this on my short list of great area breakfast spots. Five stars from me. read more
