I am so sad that it took THIS LONG to get to Cafe Ferraro! It is tucked into a Shoprite Plaza and so easy to miss. But when you come in, you are instantly transported into what feels like a Southern 1950's Cafe. The charming decor really warms you up, even during a of Covid and gloomy Spring weather. The benches are old church pews, mixed with charming little round tables and upcycled grey poopon mustard jars as flower vases. We did have the initial CASH ONLY shock before sitting down, thankfully there is an ATM next door, but that's always a bummer. As for the menu, the food is simple American comfort food, with a dash of potato pancakes. The price is very reasonable and coffee is nice and strong. We decided to get the 2-2-2 special which was French Toast, eggs, bacon for $8. And everything was tasty and extra crispy bacon. I won't give this place a full 5 stars because there was nothing that really stood out from the menu, it was solid but not mind blowing. The place being cash only is also a huge factor; they seemed annoyed I wasn't ordering quickly (there were only 2 other tables there on a Tuesday morning). The food is good and the atmosphere is ok if you like quaint restaurants that have seating that is a little too close to other tables. It is a small restaurant. The major drawback is that it has no vestibule (there is room to make one). So, in the winter, you will be very uncomfortable in the cold. Each time the door opens, the entire restaurant is small enough to lose most of its heat. The owner doesn't seem to realize how much energy he could save by having a vestibule and there is plenty of room to make one. read more

When our regular breakfast spots were crowded with long waits we sought advice from Yelp and tried Cafe Ferraro. Needless to say we won't be back. What appears to be a small mom and pop with charming decor including old church benches for seating and itty bitty baskets to hold the sugars on the table along with what appeared to be two sisters serving the room - I truly wanted to give a great rating. Our server showed no personality at all and barely spoke to us at all. The table next to me even commented to us. "They aren't very friendly here" 4.95 for a side of meat that was a tiny sausage patty and an even thinner slice of scrapple. Very disappointing. It would have come more quickly if she could have hurled it at us. Fairless Hills is a little beyond my normal range for breakfast, but the reviews for Café Ferraro raised my curiosity, and on this morning without a 9 o'clock call I decided to check it out. Good move, Mr. S.! The Café is in another of those endless aging shopping strips that line Oxford Valley Road, but Ferraro's stood out from the rest of the concrete with a bright hand lettered sign on their front window artfully proclaiming its presence. I walked in and saw the counter to the right with about 9 spinners, and several tables to the left. The space seemed well occupied for 8:00 am, but what was obvious was the amount of conversation going on. Everyone was engaged, not just with their own table, but with the rest of the house. This was a very friendly joint. I sat at an empty stood next to a woman who I had never met. My coffee arrived before I could ask for it. The server took my order of French Toast and Country Sausage and immediately suggested the morning special which included two Eggs and Coffee for less than I would pay for my spoken desires. I always appreciate getting more and paying less. I was hooked. Turned out that the French Toast was excellent, with a touch of Vanilla in the mix and nicely caramelized edges. The Sausage Patty was exceptionally fresh and tasty without being greasy. The Scrambled needed a touch of Louisiana Hot Sauce to make it sing, but the well used bottle was quickly brought to me when I asked if it was available. I had a long chat with my stoolmate and learned about her family, work, and plans for life. She told me: "This place is like family. Everyone knows your stuff and wants to help, if needed." There is even a doctor who shows up almost daily and hangs his shingle while eating breakfast. That's amazing! No extra charge for a diagnosis with your pancakes. If it was closer to home, it would quickly join my breakfast rotation, but given geographic realities, it will remain a treat for those rare mornings when I don't have to be standing in front of a judge at 9. read more

When I first moved to the area, Cafe Ferraro was one of the first local eateries I visited. The charming vintage decor, featuring an antique stove, old Hoosier cabinets, and other accouterments of days gone by reminds one of the time before the post WWII housing boom in Lower Bucks County. But what makes this place so special is the friendly neighborhood camaraderie that makes a meal at Cafe Ferraro a social experience as well as a meal. The conversations at Cafe Ferraro are often between diners at one table conversing with the diners at another table, as well as with the server. Solo diners hail each other upon arrival and sit together. Nobody is focused on a cell phone or laptop. The cheer in the room is uplifting. The menu features typical breakfast and lunch dishes, sandwiches, and salads, and American and Italian dinner entrees. Homemade pies, cakes, and other desserts are on view in a case opposite the front window. Selections are always served attractively on the plate - with a smile by the server. The coffee pots are always full. Specials appear each day on a blackboard. The eggs and potatoes I ordered this morning were fresh and tasty. And unexpectedly, I stopped in on a day when there was a breakfast special - $1.99 for two eggs, toast, and potatoes. This special runs throughout August 2016 on weekdays. The food was great. The atmosphere was sweet. But my only issue was that the sign for "cash only" was SO tiny (we even looked for it since a lot of mom and pop places have that), that they made us go next door to the ATM. Make sure you bring cash and, if you don't, be prepared for an attitude from the staff and to pay $1.50 in ATM fees. I'd definitely suggest the business put a MUCH larger sign right on the door as well as on the menu. As we were leaving, someone approaches us a said they'd had the same issue when they'd first come. Upon first coming here I thought it was going to be a coffee shop but it's not really a coffee shop. There is regular or decaf coffee, but it's unlimited, I had 3 cups. The waitresses are very attentive even when there is a packed house. The waitresses are very friendly and welcoming. The decor is very welcoming, small town kind of feel place. Over 30 years they have been there. I've been here probably 10 times since they opened, every time it's a HIT. Never a miss! This place serves the best breakfast which is the closest to my home. It's just like being at home. They have extra pillows for their bench seating. All the decor reminds me of Grandma's it's an inviting atmosphere . I have eaten here three times, once with a friend. She really enjoyed her quiche, as I did, and she loved the dessert, a chocolate pie that we split. I thought it was better than ok, but I am not a big chocolate pie fan. Had a dessert I chose one day while on my own that was very good, a peach cake type dessert I think. I also have eaten at the counter alone and was satisfied, with good service. I would definitely eat here again if in the general area in need of a meal or even a pick me up. I came here with my mom from time to time while growing up. When I'm in town I usually make a trip here with her. I'm partial to this place and thusly biased for sure. It's a small hole in the wall, but it's adorable. The menu is simple and the food isn't bad. This is the type of establishment that has regulars. She had the tuna melt which was small and was basically canned tuna on a tiny English muffin. A dollar meal at a larger cost. Uh, I'm not sure where Jason, Michelle, Rachel and Deborah ate. Maybe I need to eat breakfast at Cafe Ferraro because their lunch was average at best. Their fries aren't even as good as your average fast food joint's fries. Their house salad was iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes and chopped cucumbers. Their quiche wasn't terrible but definitely the worst I've ever had. On a positive note, their split pea soup was pretty good, the prices were reasonable and the décor was pretty nice. Today was the first and last time we ate here. We went to breakfast, both my husband and I got the same thing but I got bacon he got sausage.. We got the bill and they were two different prices, I asked why and was told that bacon went up. It was not mentioned when we ordered or listed any where that bacon was more. Also, the bill was $18.49 when my husband went to pay they said $18.50. I know it is only a penny but you can't do whatever you feel like. Won't be back. read more

I woke with a craving for pancakes and chose Cafe Ferraro mostly due to the close proximity to Sesame Place - our destination for the day. The establishment is cute and welcoming. The waittress was very friendly (called us "Sweetheart") and the food was great. For a family of 3, we left paying less than $20! I noticed this cafe in the shopping center a few weeks ago and it looked so cute so I made it my mission to try it out sometime. I told my boyfriend about it and we decided to stop by after my pt appointment this morning. I loved everything about this place! The service is great our waitress was so sweet! The first thing she did was offer coffee :) perfect! I order French toast with eggs and sausage which was delicious. The French toast had the perfect taste and reminded me of my grandmas home cooking, which is amazing of course! It was so good! My boyfriend had the creamed chipped beef special that came with home fries. Let me tell you, creamed chipped beef is his absolute favorite breakfast. He always orders it every time we get breakfast, everywhere we go. He said it was one of the best he's ever had! He was so impressed!! I asked what it was about it and he said it had a lot of flavor.
