Black bean sweet potato burrito with a side of delicious ripe fruit!

Yummy lunch black bean and sweet potato burrito with a side of ripe fruit. Lovely day sat outside

On this Friday morning at least, Be Well Bakery & Cafe was the domain of mothers/fathers and children socializing in the amazingly large spacious two story dining room. The industrial ceiling and polished concrete floor made for odd acoustics, but did spread the children's' cheer throughout. I was a lone customer, but didn't mind the family ethos at all. I ordered strong java and a Turkey Bacon, Egg and Cheddar on Sourdough breakfast sandwich, with side of fresh fruit cup. The process has you order the coffee and possibly bakery items on one side of the room, and crossing to the other side to doctor the coffee with your preferences. With coffee in hand you seat yourself and wait for personal delivery when your name is called. I felt a little sorry for the servers going up and down the steep stairway to the second story balcony, which was open and in use. Truth be told, while the caffeine hit the spot, the sandwich was rather unimpressive. It was a flatty; with a resemblance to bacon, light slice of cheese and almost tasteless fried egg(s). The sourdough was the real deal, but the rest of the show was ho-hum. Maybe I selected the wrong menu item, but I hesitated to go with the more expensive choices on a first date, not knowing what I was going to receive. Prices were aimed at perfection, and even this meal came to around $15 with java and almost mandatory tip before eating at the cashier. Maybe their lunch is a better option. I wasn't going to try the few pastries visible in the display given the cost of my unexciting petit dejuene.

This place is just as good as the Huntingdon Valley location and has the exact same menu to match. Its so spacious and I appreciate all the seating when compared to their predecessor. I love almost everything on the menu and feel like you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Highly recommended.

I LOVE this location and hope they can keep it open on more than weekends! It's the same good vibes as the other location, tons of seating, and super friendly staff. I love that they have gluten free and vegan options here. Today I ordered the sweet potato hash (forgot to order turkey bacon!) with a breakfast bar as the side (pretty good) and a decaf cortado. Yum. I love that you can get any bakery item as a side here because some of them are SOOO good! It also looks like there are a good amount of outlets where you can work from, too. I'm a fan and will definitely be coming more often - especially to this location which is closer to my house than the other.

I am so glad that this location finally opened in Richboro! The interior is is big with a bunch of seating options on two separate floors as well as outside seating. There is a decent sized menu consisting of a lot of food great for breakfast or lunch. Any of the meals I've had have been delicious and ready in a decent time. The drinks have left me a little underwhelmed and the quality of coffee has been inconsistent when I've gotten something. No need to worry about parking as this location has a large lot it shares with nearby businesses. My favorites: the cinnamon oatmeal cookie and the turkey bacon

Came in on Sunday around lunch time and it was busy as expected for the weekend. A little bit of a wait but it was worth it. Interior is cute and beehive themed. Food was delicious as well.

Personally didn't like the coffee or the food. I like the space though, nice and open with lots of seating.

What a disappointment. We heard it was amazing but it was far from that.... We arrived with a…read morereservation at 6pm and it was empty. Guy playing guitar. Maybe two wait staff working. We order a starter and the Mahi Mahi. We were brought room temp water. There is no liquor license so we order soft drinks. They arrived in the can. We had to open them and pour them - again, no ice. We are told there is no Mahi Mahi but the waitress didn't know the name of the other fish on the menu? "The Branzino?" "YEAH!" The pumpkin soup was okay. French onion was quite good. The Branzino? Below average. Menu pic has the whole fish but we were served two small fillets. The asparagus was plain. That was it. The main course was placed as we were still eating the soups. We looked up and our server said...."Oh! You're not done? Well, I can clear your bowls or just leave these here!" With amazement, we asked for them to be left and we got to them after we were done with the soups. Had to ask for refills on water twice. Sorry to say that we aren't going back and we doubt this place will last. We had high hopes. $100 total for dinner which wasn't bad but very much not worth it. Hated writing this review but I read them for restaurants and appreciate honest reviews. This is one. Not recommending this place.

The ambiance feels a bit more upscale than a traditional breakfast restaurant, but that's probably because they also service dinner. The service was a bit slow, but it was packed, so it wasn't the fault of the waitress. We will definitely come back for breakfast again!

They have samples! What a great idea! It helped me figure out what I wanted AND what I'll get next time. Brilliant. The one lady took her time to really explain to me each ingredient. This is there second shop in the area (Princeton is the other), and a third is near opening in Ocean City. The ambiance is blond wood, lots of windows and growing succulents on every table and shelf. It is bright and cheery, inviting a long hangout for work or conversation. Power plugs are plentiful. I walked in intending to grab and go, but was quickly seduced by the attractiveness of the room and friendliness of the two women who interacted with me. I ordered a Blue Royale Smoothie, and as the only customer in the house, took a table in the corner overlooking the entire operation and the sunny world outside. It was primarily a blueberry concoction, with several other healthy ingredients mixed in, and presented after blending as a deep purple slurry. It was cool and delicious and encouraged a slow pull on the straw to stretch out the enjoyment. I took a final suck 30 minutes later; that's how good it was. I will return in the morning for their steel cut oatmeal and perhaps the avocado toast. Just wish they brewed organic coffee for those of us with caffeine needs. Too, Pure Green would be an unchallenged social benefit if they found a way to reduce plastics in their products. At $10+ for a smoothie or bowl, that should not be so difficult to work into their environmental footprint. Otherwise, Pure Green has a lot of nutripromise.

My wife heard about Steel Penny Cafe from a colleague at work who lives in Hatboro, so we decided…read moreto check it out on Thursday, February 12, 2026. We are glad we did. From the street it has a really cool look and the inside leans into an industrial style with a great aesthetic. It's a comfortable space with a nice vibe. We ordered a couple of cocktails: a lemon drop and a Manhattan. Strategically we decided to split a Detroit-style pizza called the Iron Pig. Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. Looks like a fun place to hang out. It's definitely a place we'd consider visiting again.

They don't have server tunnel vision, they work as a team and it shows! The vibes are so cool here. I mean, if you're gonna open a cafe next to a scrap yard, you have to lean in to the theming. I love the vibes, I love the appearance. The food is amazing top to bottom. First, their coffee drinks are always spot hitting, partly due to the fact that they roast their own coffee beans on site. The cocktail menu is always enticing an even though I'm not a huge drinker, I'll be working my way around this. The breakfast options are plenty and if you don't get their bacon you are missing out! The lunch sandwiches are served on a house made ciabatta style bread. Packed with fresh meats, cheeses and veggies. Every ingredient is perfectly seasoned and added delicately, not just items slapped on a roll. The Detroit pizza is what initially drew me in. While they have some options with more toppings, I'd say go for some of the more simple Detroit pies to really allow the famous crust to really shine through. My personal favorite so far is the white pie they do with roasted portobello mushrooms. I have only been for breakfast and lunch but with all the craft beer options I need to go back for dinner to sit and relax with some friends and family!
