Langley GMC recently quoted my Uncle nearly $5,000 for a new transmission without providing estimated timelines for parts delivery or repair completion. You'd think for 5k, they would at least offer a loaner vehicle. They did not. The service department staff was rude and dismissive when we asked for detailed information on delays in receiving the transmission and the repair timelines. They also failed to contact the warranty company after they were notified that the vehicle had an extended warranty. I towed the vehicle to Auto Gallery in LaGrange on 3/20/26, and they made it clear that they would not be able to assess the vehicle until 4/3/26. The vehicle was ready for pickup on 4/9/26. It was not the transmission and the repairs were covered under warranty. Paid a $100.00 deductible. The Langley repair department is either severely incompetent, or the dealership allows employees to take financial advantage of their customers. Without any question they have the best shop and mechanics in the area. Scrupulously honest, friendly and reliable. I will not take my car anywhere else for mechanical issues. The entire staff, from the top down, are courteous and ethical. They also show remarkable alacrity. Having had the misfortune of using another dealer I was acclimated to a more languid pace on service, as well as a certain anxiety as to the competence of the work done.
