At 8 AM the following day, I received a voicemail, an email, and a text message from the company stating that they were closed Monday and I should not have been allowed to make a reservation via their own website,. Obviously there would be a full refund, and they were very apologetic. I never received the refund and contacted them twice more during the next six days. Today I received an email from Benjamin. Tiederman stating that I would only be refunded 50%, which would not be received for another five days. This is fraud and theft, Along with basic incompetence and lack of ethics. I had to eventually submit a charge back to my credit card company, which will cost them extra money in fines instead of doing what they stated they would do. I've never left a negative review on any site so congratulations Annapolis electric boat rentals.

Driving an electric boat was a first and it was easy. I've been boating since 2012 and driving this boat was not only easy but fun...and but the way despite sailing since 2012 I'm still slightly step above a novice. The Captain/owner is a great guy, professional, and thorough. I didn't think this was a thing for me where I would want to come back and do it again but I feel like I'll be back this summer. I highly recommend it! Great experience and the perfect way to celebrate a birthday.

A quint and rather quiet town without many amusements, DMV Jet Skis gives you run for your money! Situated at a price ~$10-15 cheaper than comparable jet ski rentals in the area, DMV Jet Skis charges $70 for half an hour and $115 for a full hour. We arrived, checked in at their small office behind Marina West and took a short quiz on safety (the necessary responses are provided in a one-sheet statement page). We carried on great conversation with the staff members who were both friendly and efficient. One staff member gave us life jackets and took us out on the water earlier than reserved because everyone for the hour was in attendance-- SCORE! We got some extra time. For the one-hour tour, the guide takes you out to the water and you can go wherever you want as long as you stay in view of the guide. (It sounds kiddish, but you can go pretty far and still see them.) My boyfriend and I were at complete bliss out on the water! It's amazing to fly around, slicing through waves at 55 mph. We both rode the same jet ski and I primarily let him drive. Even being the passenger was fun-- I think I enjoyed it more than I did driving. If you're the passenger make sure you hold tight to the front person so you don't fly off. Our overall experience was amazing. I have nothing to complain about besides my slightly sore bottom and back today from my inability to keep my butt on the seat. I would highly recommend DMV Jetskis and undoubtedly would return.

I do agree with him tandem kayaks are divorce boats if your marriage isn't already strong. Having said that the kayaks are definitely not for beginners and my husband and I are NOT experienced. Beautiful river and creek and we saw quite a bit of wildlife but it took getting used to. Not sure the kayaks are cleaned in any way in between rentals... or just ever. Super nice guy at the shop though!

It pains me to write a negative review. Jim, the owner, is a very nice gentlemen and I think at…read moreone point this was a spectacular tour. However, we booked a half-day guided tour and were very disappointed. The website (being as dated as it is should have given us a clue) boasts different trips to choose from, but Jim doesn't have the staff to pull them off anymore. We weren't able to select which tour we wanted. Instead we left and returned from the public launch near his home at Spring Cove marina. Two-thirds of his kayaks were missing or had broken rudders. The kayaks were lacking a little love and care. Even a simple hose down to get grass clippings, bugs, and cob webs out of them would have helped. Several of the life jackets needed to be replaced as I'm sure those did not meet coast guard standards - not that you really need life jackets when kayaking in the shallow waters of Swan Creek. But, he had great paddles - light weight carbon fiber with shaped blades. The advertised "beach" stop near Humphreys point was a 10 ft by 2 ft patch of muddy land. There was no great way to get out and explore or enjoy the overgrown area, nor was there a good place to swim and enjoy the warm August water. And our email reminder that bottled water and high energy trail mix set some higher expectations than the one extra bottle of water that Jim had in his kayak. The "guided" portion of the tour was almost non-existent. Other than navigational directions, there was very little information shared with the group about where we were paddling, or what we were seeing. Some brief explanation of a duck blind, and three sentences of history regarding one of the farms we saw was about it - for those close enough to hear Jim. We would have had the same trip if we were given a laminated map and let loose on the kayaks. The scenery was beautiful. We weren't fortunate enough to see any of the bald eagles in the area, but we saw plenty of Osprey, Herons, ducks, and other birds. We had great weather, so we were able to enjoy the serenity of the area. Having done guided kayak, canoe, cycling, and hiking tours before, we had higher expectations. I wish Jim the best of luck in what is clearly a delayed retirement.

As we entered, the tables on the main deck were arranged to fit party groups of either 6 or 8 guests and a table for 2. The buffet food was arranged at the front of the dining area and the musician (acoustic guitar) next to it. He did a wonderful job of singing and playing both guitar and harmonica. Upstairs, they had tall tables with a few metallic stools. So happy the room was air-conditioned. Serve yourself was near immediate. Bar and drinks were upstairs on the observation deck. Soft drinks and tea were included. The accommodations up there were tall tables and a few metallic stools To the food: The assorted greens salad was fresh with your choice of salad dressings. Then rolls with real butter, followed with spaghetti with meatballs and a pasta with shrimp and parmesan, and chicken parm cutlets. Potato salad and a caprese salad of sliced mozzarella and tomatoes topped with a balsamic dressing. There was enough for seconds. Close to the end of the cruise, they brought out some desserts that looked like magazine quality. Cheesecake, chocolate layered cake, carrot cake, and lemon bars. All were very rich, and nothing was left. The staff could not have been nicer and very efficient. It's a really great crew. There is plenty of free parking. One note, this is not a wheelchair accessible due to a series of steps.
