Upon arrival, it was very crowded and very different from your typical pho restaurant. They played loud dance/house/techno music with lights flashing. The restaurant itself is small, probably has less than 15 tables. It took us awhile to get our water and for someone to take out order. We knew right away that our lunch experience will take a long time. We ordered spring rolls, their chicken wings naked, and their pho. I was not impressed with their spring rolls. It was all rice paper and was small. Didn't think it was worth the $8. Our pho broth itself was pretty decent but the meat that came with it was far and few. Don't expect to get a lot with your portion. My son left there hungry. If you want pho, I would try some other places. Finally got out to try Pho King Wing. Was happy to see it busy the day after Christmas. To be honest I wasn't sure what to expect with such an eclectic menu. I admit to being a Pho snob but this place did not disappoint. The shrimp and pork spring rolls were fresh and filled with crunchy veggies. Wasn't a huge fan of the peanut dipping sauce but the rolls were excellent. The rare steak Pho was the star of the show. It came out piping hot with lots of fresh veggies, lots of lime and homemade chili paste. The broth was very flavorful without being too fatty and the steak melted in your mouth. Came for Pho and wasn't disappointed. I had a chicken one, huge portion, very flavorful and can't think of anything wrong with it. The place has kind of "hole in the wall" vibe, so don't plan anything romantic there, but if you are going for a good bowl of soup - this is the place. Service was super nice, 5*+. Overall, highly recommend if you are into Pho. Had seen lots of good things about Pho King Wing on the COS Foodies Facebook group, so thought we'd try it. Boy, were the good things I'd read accurate...some of the best fried catfish I've ever had! Coleslaw was tangy and crunchy. My husband loved his jambalaya with the sauce/base really standing out as excellent, with lots of andouille, shrimp and chicken. It's a big platter and enjoyed the leftovers today. Oh, and we also had the crab cheese wontons, which were hot, fresh, and tasty! Uriah definitely helped make the entire experience. He recognized we were thirsty and brought a carafe of water. He was a huge help with the menu and just generally kind and welcoming. Finding out I was a southerner, he brought me out a new bottle of hot sauce for the fish. The only thing the fish platter was missing was a thick slice of onion, a southern thing. The pho is very bland and almost no flavor, meat was not lean at all. The place is not very clean, there were flies all around our table even before the food got there. You get charged $3 just to use your card. (Bring Cash) The wings were ok, not the best we have had. The service was ok, but very slow, seemed like only 2 people were at the restaurant cooking and serving. You get charged 25% if you have a party of 6 and more. They don't tell you and at the end they give you the option to tip, even though they just charged you a gratuity fee. I have tasted some great pho around in many states. And this pho has won the worst place, I don't understand why some may have said flavorful in the reviews it is far from that. Also the portion did not filled us up. UPDATE: I went back the very next day due to my cravings and picked up a 6 injected wings and fries as well as a red velvet cake. Everything was horrible. The wings were so burnt they were black and tasted burnt. I spent $10 on the cake when I buy a much better one for $3.99 at king soopers! I couldn't even eat half my meal it was so bad and I was super hungry. So I put it in the fridge and planned to call the next day to see if they could remake it. I'm dealing with an acl injury and didn't call the next day so I took the $ loss. Due to the $ loss I tried reheating in the air fryer and tried one bite before sadly tossing it all in the garbage. I ate the red velvet cake the night I got the food and I only ate about half of it as well. Super disappointing and huge waste of my money when I'm not working due to surgery. There was 1 person inside, and they saw us outside and did not try to acknowledge that we were even waiting at the door. To the point we had to eat it with other things to offset the saltiness, and at $20 for two pieces, this was a giant disappointment. Ya'll! Pho King Wing is legit! My wife got the fried catfish with fried okra and hush puppies. We both thought it was the best fried catfish we've ever had and I don't eat okra, but she said it was probably the best she has had as well. I had the 2lb crawfish boil special for $25. Man it hit the spot. I haven't had crawfish in a few years since moving here from Texas. I like mine spicy, so I brought my own can of Old Bay from home They also gave me a fried rice to sample. It was also fantastic. The service was just as good as the food. Uriah is one of the owners and his service skills and personality make you feel like you are a guest in his home. As we were about to leave, another couple that was sitting by us had just gotten their appetizer of cheese wontons and they were freaking out as to how good they were. When we arrived at the location, after following yelp directions, the outside signage was not what we expected. Instead of "Pho' King Wing." the sign was for "Pho' Original Asian Cuisine" (although a sign in the window still reads "Pho' King Wing"). We were greeted at the door by the co-owner/host/server, Uriah, with the question, "Are you hungry?" When we replied that we were, he said, "I've got food!" and directed us to have a seat wherever we wanted. I would almost call this a "World Kitchen". Upon perusing the menu, we realized that this restaurant served much more than pho and wings. The menu had soul food, southern cuisine, Greek gyros, burgers, Asian appetizers, and even had Mexican food during their late happy hour. (Although they did not have iced tea readily available, Uriah made hot tea for me and poured it over ice, which I greatly appreciated) We decided to try their namesake foods for our first visit. We ordered the Pho Chay (Vegetable), medium size, and the 10 Pc Wing which comes with 2 choices of flavors - we chose Great Garlic Parmesan and Kickin' Cajun Dry Rub. Uriah brought out an extra bowl along with the small bowls of veggies and other accompanying pho additions. Then the main bowl and chicken wings arrived. The food looked and smelled delicious! We dove in! The Pho was full of wonderful veggies and tofu and had a delicate, delicious taste. (I like a bit more spice, so I added some sriracha.) The wings were also delicious. I liked the Cajun dry rub best while my hubby enjoyed the garlic parm more. I even made a point of adding some of the extra dry spice to my bowl of pho. The menu here is vast that includes Pho & other Vietnamese items plus wings, southern classic sides, and some Latin inspired food. Pho King Wings (catchy name lol) is located where the old Pho Original was, right behind Walgreens. We came here on a Sunday when they opened and were seated immediately. Love the decor and it was perfect for our party of 8. The owner is so friendly and chatted with us while we were waiting for the other people in our party. Because it was our first time there, we asked for recommendations. We tried the the Livin' La Lemon Pepper and Ah Honey Honey Sriracha wings. We also got the smoked brisket pho. Glad we got these because they were so good. Our littles also approved on the kid's pho and kids chicken tenders. We'll definitely be back to try the injected wings and also their Louisiana addition (the owner mentioned that hopefully he'll have it soon). We came here for the pho and it didn't disappoint. The broth was hearty and filling, the vegetables were well cooked, and the tofu was nice and chewy. The broth in particular was great and in the end that is what I mainly base pho on. It really felt like it has been made over days and was well ballanced. The staff was friendly and quick as well. This place is in the old Pho Original Spot just in case you have trouble finding it. Right off the bat you walk into an awesome vibe. Music was playing and Uriah greeted us and his customer service was an A++. There is a lot of variety on the menu.
